‘Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters’ Trailer: Watch Now

With Edward and Bella continuing blissfully into their small but perfect piece of forever, a whole new generation of bloodsuckers are poised to take a bite out of the box office with with the film's first trailer making its debut on Yahoo! Movies.

Based on the best-selling young-adult series by Richelle Mead, the world of "Vampire Academy" revolves around three distinct types of vampires: the peace-loving Moroi; the half-human, half-vampire dhampir, who serve as Moroi protectors; and the evil undead Strigoi, out for Moroi blood.

Our protagonist is dhampir Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch), who shares a special bond with her Moroi best friend Lissa Dragomir (Lucy Fry). Lissa is the last in her royal family's line following a tragic accident, and fearing for her safety, Rose convinces Lissa to run away from their elite boarding school, St. Vladimir's, and seek refuge in the human world. Of course, school officials track down the duo and bring them back, but when mysterious events begin unfolding, it's clear the danger hasn't disappeared.

The film marks the first big-screen team-up of brothers Daniel Waters, who wrote the script, and Mark Waters, who directed. Both bring plenty of teen-flick cred with them, Daniel having penned "Heathers" and Mark having helmed "Mean Girls." And "Vampire Academy" appears to follow in the same cheeky vein. Like in a scene where we see Lissa sheepishly thanking her BFF for letting her feed off her, and Rose's simple response, "What are friends for?"

From there, things get even bloodier, with quick cuts of fights, explosions and silver stakes ...

Selena Gomez Covers Rihanna At Stars Dance Kickoff!

VANCOUVER — It all came down to one night. After months of hard work and preparation, Selena Gomez finally unveiled herStars Dance Tour to an overflowing crowd of adoring fans at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. And as the pop star herself has mentioned , she had a lot of prove — both to herself and to her legion of fans.

Selena Gomez kicked off the show with two songs from her previous albums, "Bang Bang Bang" and "Round & Round" set to all new choreography and midriff baring garb. Gomez, who was nervous about perfecting her dance moves, didn't disappoint with her high-powered numbers as she commanded the stage like a seasoned pro.

After performing the pulsating "B.E.A.T," the singer showcased both her versatility and musical tastes by covering Australian rap sensation Iggy Azalea's "Work" complete with Selena rapping along to the track.

After a brief transition, Selena came back out to perform the title track off her Stars Dance album, followed by "Birthday." Unpredictably, the former Disney star then segue into a cover of Rihanna's 'Birthday Cake', a decidedly raunchier song with a meaning that may have been lost on many of the younger fans in the audience.

The crowd went nuts when Selena started belting out the first few notes of fan favorite "Love You Like a Love Song." As the crowd sang along, Selena ducked behind the curtains for a quick wardrobe change as the show set up for her mid set acoustic session.

As the arena lights dimmed, a concert video started playing ...

‘Mortal Instruments’ Clary Fray: The Beyonce Of Shadowhunters?

Katniss, Hermione and Bella will be in good company come August 21, when Clary — the heroine of Cassandra Clare's best-selling young-adult series "The Mortal Instruments" — joins the fray in

The story centers around Clary's (Lily Collins) search for her mother (Lena Headey), who's been kidnapped. The 16-year-old turns to the mysterious Jace Wayland and his race of half-human, half-angel demon destroyers (known as Shadowhunter) for assistance. But that isn't to say Clary's not completely capable. As Collins told MTV News recently, her character has many unique traits you may not have seen in many teens on screen.

"She has this kind of sassy comedic undertone, which Jace brings out in her as well as Simon," she said. "She doesn't choose to become part of this other world. She already is a Shadowhunter. Unlike Bella who chose to become a vampire, Clary is already a Shadowhunter, and she doesn't let romance define her. She's on this single track to get her mom back, and she doesn't victimize herself. She's always thinking of new answers to questions instead of kind of letting people solve them for her."

One question Clary's real-life alter ego had to answer while filming was, how do I run in these heels?

"It was difficult, but I never fell once," Collins said. "Any awkwardness as Lily running around in hells and a short dress I could just play off as Clary. So, really, it worked out for me."

Yes, it would seem Clary Fray is the Beyonce of Shadowhunters — especially after we learned of one particular ...

Lady Gaga’s ‘Applause’ Lyric Video: One Wild West Hollywood Night

Lady Gaga is operating on overdrive.

On Monday, after rush-releasing her comeback single to combat leaks, she hit up West Hollywood hotspot Micky's to shoot a lyric video for the track, then spent Tuesday editing the clip with the Haus of Gaga (while simultaneously promoting her multiple V magazine covers and tweeting with Cher, mind you), in the hopes of premiering it Wednesday (August 14) afternoon.

Of course, not everything can go like Gaga, and, after promising the "Applause" vid would go online "momentarily," her fans were left hanging for more than three hours (or "84 years") before the clip actually appeared. Though they'd be the first to tell you that the finished product was worth the wait.

Mostly because a lot of them are probably in it.

Gaga goes guerilla in the video, shooting most of it herself with a hand-held camera. She cavorts with her fans and clubgoers, gets up-close-and-personal with some fierce drag performers (who work the catwalk), and mouths several lyrics to the song, all while her face is painted up in makeup similar to the . In an earlier tweet, she encouraged her Little Monsters to show up for the shoot in a similar style, and a whole lot of them did just that, only adding another level of connection to the clip.

The whole thing feels very much like the recap of a very wild night, shot fast-and-loose with minimal edits and a whole lot of bare skin ... it's immediate and intimate and, well, that's precisely the ...

Cory Monteith’s ‘McCanick’ Trailer: Watch Now!

In the trailer for one of Cory Monteith's final films, the "Glee" star and David Morse engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

Monteith plays Simon Weeks, a drug-addict and prisoner whose recent release from jail leads a detective, the movie's title character, to engage in tracking down the young man, who allegedly committed murder in his teens.

The trailer is full of high-stakes drama, and a few clues that Weeks may not actually be the criminal McCanick wants to portray him as. "He's done bad things. He is not a killer," McCormick is told at one point. His response? "You don't know him as well as you think," he says.

Directed by Josh C. Waller, the film also stars Ciaran Hinds, Mike Vogel, Rachel Nichols, Trevor Morgan, Aaron Yoo and Tracie Thoms. The movie is slated to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9. It's one of two projects on the festival's docket featuring Monteith. His other drama, "All the Wrong Reasons," will also screen during TIFF.

Monteith died on July 13; it was later determined he died from a mixed drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol. In addition to his final film roles, several tributes have been confirmed to honor the former "Glee" star.

The Fox sitcom will honor Monteith during the third episode of the next season. The episode is slated to air on October 10. A tribute is also planned for the Emmy Awards, airing in September.
