Robin Thicke, Jimmy Fallon’s G-Rated ‘Blurred Lines’: Watch Now!

As buoyant and blithe as it is, Robin Thicke's ubiquitous "Blurred Lines" video is undoubtedly, unequivocally not for children's eyes. But Jimmy Fallon apparently thinks everyone should hear Thicke's cheery gospel — even the little ones.

That's why Fallon recruited Thicke and the Roots to put a mom-approved spin on the chart-topping song — free of topless models or R-rated lyrics. The group — fully clothed in all black — ditches the back-up music and picks up classroom instruments to create a "Blurred Lines" with far less blurry intentions. (We'd like to see what director Diane Martel would think of it.)

Packed tight in a recording studio, Fallon's helps keep the beat on a woodblock, ?uestlove's got a shaker of some sort, and Thicke has ... a spoon. One member of the ensemble pounds a rainbow xylophone, while another strums a ukulele. And then there's the guy with the banana. It was unconfirmed at press time what the banana's purpose was.

But what about the lyrics, you ask? Worry not, the Roots offer up their own G-rated take on T.I.'s sex-laden verse, dedicated to "my own Miss America." "The best girlfriend I ever had is you ... So I put a ring on it and I married you," one member sings into a rasta-colored maraca.

In essence, it was three minutes of kid-friendly perfection. That is, unless you have a particularly precocious 8-year-old who can un-blur the suggestive words of the chorus. And if that's the case, good luck.

Drake And Big Sean Wrestled Who Got ‘All Me’ Beat

Despite its title, Drake's latest single, is still a family affair with verses from both 2 Chainz and Big Sean. But turns out both Sean and Drake had recorded over the beat after falling in love with it — they just didn't know it.

"[Drake] records a lot at his house in L.A., and I was recording in L.A. for Hall of Fame, so we'll kick it and exchange music," Sean told MTV News of how the track came together. "Key Wane had that beat, and it was funny because I wanted to use it for Hall of Fame and [Drake] wanted to use the beat too."

"I had done a verse to [Key's beat] and didn't know [Drake] did a song to it," the Detroit rapper explained. He went on to add that it was Key Wane who encouraged him to send his verse since Drake really wanted to lock it down for Nothing Was the Same.

"I sent him the verse and [Drake's] like, 'You bodied this sh--.' Then we had the song forever," Sean said. "He was like, 'I already did my verse and 2 Chainz did his verse but we've gotta get the right chorus,' and that took a while. But everything happened at the right time."

Released late Wednesday, "All Me" finds all three rappers skipping the humble-brags to spit it right out, with Drake even crowning himself the "light-skinned Keith Sweat." Sean gets right into it, kicking off his verse with the same explosive, expletive-filled intro he gave us on "Switch Up."

Ellen DeGeneres To Host 2014 Oscars

The newest Hollywood "it" couple everyone will be talking about? Oscar and Ellen.

Academy Awards producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced Friday that comedian Ellen DeGeneres will host the 2014 Oscars.

"We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars," Zadan and Meron said in a statement. "As a longtime friend, we had always hoped to find a project for us to do together and nothing could be more exciting than teaming up to do the Oscars. There are few stars today who have Ellen's gift for comedy, with her great warmth and humanity. She is beloved everywhere and we expect that the audience at the Dolby Theatre, and in homes around the globe, will be as excited by this news as we are."

This will be DeGeneres' second time emceeing the film industry's biggest night. She wielded the mic back in 2007, earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program.

"I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say — the third time's the charm," the talk show host joked in a statement.

It had been earlier speculated that last year's host, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, would return for a repeat performance, despite raising eyebrows (and plenty of ire) with his controversial jokes. But MacFarlane set the record straight back in March, tweeting: "Traumatized critics exhale: I'm unable to do the Oscars again. Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep..."

The Oscars will air Sunday, March 2, 2014, on ABC.

Simon Cowell Knew From ‘Day One’ Britney Spears ‘X Factor’ Panel Didn’t Work

Simon Cowell didn't hold back on Thursday when asked how he felt about the second season of the "X Factor," which featured (now-departed) newcomer Britney Spears in the mentor's seat.

While Cowell didn't name names, he did speak his mind with comments that could be interpreted to be about Spears, considering the pop star left the singing show after just one season and weak reviews.

"It's like having a dinner party. You invite people for dinner and sometimes it's a fun night, and other times it's not as fun as you hoped it would be," Cowell said at the Television Critics Association panel.

"This [season] is a fun dinner party," he continued before adding that he knew the season-two panel — made up of Spears, Cowell, Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid — wasn't gelling from "day one." "I felt we were doing what everybody else was doing and I had this impatience to get on to [upcoming] season three so we could do what we wanted to do," he explained.

Both Spears and L.A. Reid left the show at the end of season two, paving the way for Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland to join Cowell and returning mentor Lovato on the panel. Cowell said the new group feels "like family." "You have to be competitive, and you have to make changes," he said. "I work hard. It makes it fun. I'd love to be number one."

Season three will be split up into boys, girls, over-25s and groups; the prize has been shaved down from $5 million to ...

Lady Gaga, Madonna Accused Of Breaching Russian Immigration Laws

After months out of the spotlight, Lady Gaga is prepping for her likely triumphant return with ARTPOP, and Little Monsters across the globe are waiting with open arms. But one country may not be so welcoming.

Nine months after a live show in St. Petersburg, Russian politician Vitaly Milonov has reportedly filed a request to launch an investigation into Gaga's stay in the country, saying she did not obtain the proper visa to perform. According to the conservative lawmaker, the singer only had a tourist visa at the time, which does not allow for commercial activity. He's launching the same accusation at Madonna, who visited the country in August 2012, reportedly with the same type of visa.

According the The Guardian, prosecutors are considering asking Russia's foreign ministry or federal migration service to press charges.

The claims come at a fragile moment in the United States' relationship with Russia. In late December, President Vladimir Putin approved a law banning American families from adopting Russian children, and the country's discrimination against homosexuals has been met by outcry from the U.S. and beyond.

Following their 2012 shows, Milonov accused both Gaga and Madonna of "promoting homosexuality" to minors, which is illegal under a recently passed law. Madonna used a show in Moscow to express her support for Pussy Riot, who were jailed in the country after speaking out against Putin. Gaga, meanwhile, had been accused by Milonov of using her "music, songs and such" to make "direct calls to 12-year-old citizens to support the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual ...

Daft Punk To Appear On ‘The Colbert Report’

Stephen Colbert is about to "Get Lucky."

Daft Punk will make a rare TV appearance on Tuesday (August 9) night's episode of "The Colbert Report," a spokesperson for Comedy Central has confirmed to MTV News. And, from the sound of things, they'll be performing, too.

"'The Colbert Report's' concert series 'Colbchella' will feature Daft Punk on Tuesday," the rep for Comedy Central wrote in an email.

It will mark the Daft Punk's first TV appearance since releasing Random Access Memories earlier this year, and while it's not clear what songs Daft Punk will be performing on the show, one can logically assume it will be their massive hit especially given a somewhat random appearance Colbert filmed earlier this week on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," when he shuffled onto the set to the strains of the song before disappearing without saying a word.

Fans of the "Report" quickly began speculating that scene was shot for a skit that will also feature Daft Punk, though it's not known if the other artists featured on "Get Lucky" — Pharrell and Nile Rodgers — will also appear on the show.

Reps for Daft Punk did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the matter by press time.

Last year, Colbert's "Colbchella" concert — officially dubbed — took place on the deck of the U.S.S. Intrepid, and featured performances by Fun., Santigold, the Flaming Lips and Grizzly Bear. In 2011, Colbchella's "Rock You Like A Thirst-Icane" boasted a lineup that included Bon Iver, Florence and the Machine, Talib ...

Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington Point ‘2 Guns’ At ‘Smurfs’

The first weekend in August promises a close race at the box office between action duo Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, Smurfette Katy Perry and clawed superhero Hugh Jackman.

At a time when the summer-blockbuster season usually starts to cool down, featuring Perry as the voice of Smurfette and R-Rated action-comedy "2 Guns" will squabble for #1 against last weekend's well-reviewed Hugh Jackman's superhero flick could hang onto the top spot given that its second week drop-off is expected to be much less steep than the poorly received "X-Men Origins: Wolverine."

"The Smurfs 2" opened on Wednesday. The sequel mixes live action and animation like its predecessor, based on the 1980s cartoon, toys and the original Belgian comic strips. The family-oriented flick sat at a very "rotten" 14 percent on Rotten Tomatoes "Tomatometer" as it entered the weekend, even lower than the first.

"2 Guns" has received decent reviews and Denzel Washington is of course a reliable box office draw. Wahlberg has had huge hits like "Ted" in recent years, though this buddy cop picture will likely open in the same mid-$20 million range as his "Pain and Gain" in April.

"The Smurfs 2" is tracking in the same range. The first movie made most of its $421 million internationally. "Despicable Me 2," a huge hit for Universal that has already made more than $300 million domestically, is still being promoted via McDonald's kids' meals and Cheerios, among other avenues. The continued interest in "Despicable Me 2" will soften the impact of "The Smurfs 2" for sure.

Jackman's sixth turn as ...

Megan Fox Pregnant With Second Child

Just nine months after becoming a mom for the first time, Megan Fox confirmed she's expecting her second child with husband Brian Austin Green.

"I can confirm Megan is expecting her second child with her husband, Brian, they are both very happy," a rep for the actress told the New York Post's Page Six on Friday (August 2).

Fox gave birth to son Noah last September. Green also has a son, Kassius, from a previous relationship with actress Vanessa Marcil.

Fox is currently in the middle of filming for the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" reboot, but she has spoken openly about motherhood and her desire to expand her family. In the March 2013 issue of Marie Claire UK, she revealed, "All I wanted to do my whole, whole life was have a baby and, now, I've finally done it. I just want to give Noah as much of myself as I can. And I want to have more kids. That is where my heart is."

Green and Fox first met on the set of the sitcom "Hope & Faith" in 2004 and became engaged in 2006. After a brief split in 2009, the couple renewed their engagement, eventually tying the knot in June 2010 in Hawaii.

"I feel like I'm with my best friend," Fox told MTV News about Green last year while promoting her film "Friends With Kids." "I've been with him for so long, so it feels natural and comfortable."

Fox is currently shooting the live-action in New York City. The film reunites her with "Transformers" director ...
