SAN DIEGO — Get ready to enter the arena for round 2: Lionsgate debuted a brand-new trailer for at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, giving fans their first glimpse at fan favorite character Finnick Odair (Sam Claflin), the arena for the 75th Hunger Games, and much more of the events that transpire before Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) are forced to fight for their lives again.

Katniss and Peeta themselves, Lawrence and Hutcherson, joined costars Liam Hemsworth, Lenny Kravitz, Jena Malone, Jeffrey Wright, and Willow Shields and director Francis Lawrence in the convention center's gigantic Hall H to debut the new footage and discuss the sequel, which hits theaters Nov. 22.

While the first trailer for "Catching Fire" focused on Katniss' pre-Games press tour, the new one introduces much more of the civil unrest rising throughout Panem after Katniss' inspirational subversion of the Hunger Games rules that allowed her fellow District 12 tribute, Peeta, to survive.

Katniss finds herself inside the arena again for the all-star Quarter Quell, a special, even more dangerous edition of the Hunger Games (which is inherently deadly, since all but one of the competitors will die before the end) held every 25 years. The 75th edition is an all-star competition of sorts, bringing back former winners from each District to compete against each other, and the new trailer shows President Snow explaining the rules -- and Katniss and Peeta's terrified reaction once they find out they'll be heading back to fight for their lives.

SAN DIEGO — Something super this way comes: Batman and Superman will team up on the big screen for a movie in 2015, Warner Bros. announced this afternoon at San Diego Comic-Con.

"Man of Steel" director Zack Snyder took the stage for a surprise announcement at the tail end of the joint Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures preview panel.

"There's been a lot of speculation about what we're doing," he said, after thanking fans for their support. "It is official that we are going to make another Superman movie."

"You guys may ask what is the movie about," he teased. "The truth is you don't want me to tell you what the movie is about, right?"

He called Harry Lennix, who played General Swanwick in "Man of Steel," to the stage for the big reveal, because "his voice is just way better than mine." Lennix took to a spotlit podium to read a passage from "Batman vs. Superman," a scene in which Batman has just tangled with Superman.

"I want you to remember, Clark," Lennix read. "In all the years to come, and all your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you."

All five of the massive screens in Hall H, which held approximately 6,000 screaming fans, lit up with a greyscale Superman S, with Batman's signature winged silhouette soon stacking behind it.

Want to know what has up its sleeve for season four? Actor Chad Coleman can sum it up in two words: "epic" and "gut-wrenching."

Coleman, who joined the series last season as fan-favorite Tyreese, steps up to the plate in season four with a much bigger role than ever before. The actor promised that the new year of zombie-plagued stories is "a wild experience right out of the gate," with "an amazing place" in the narrative for the hammer-wielding Tyreese.

"Everybody was eager and open to inviting Tyreese in," the actor told MTV at Comic-Con. "Every actor wants to raise their game and bring substantive, compelling material, to be a valuable asset in turning things along at an incredible pace — and I'm all in."

Last season on "Walking Dead," the show focused on a war between two feuding factions: Rick Grimes and his companions at the prison, and the gated community of Woodbury, led by the ruthless Governor. Though the Governor lost an eye and his people at the end of season three, he walked away with his life still intact. That means the villain is very much a threat looming large over the new season of "Walking Dead," as actor David Morrissey's appearance at Comic-Con made quite clear.

"The zombies are the threat — there's more of them — but there's a sense with the Governor that you think he might like you," Morrissey told MTV about the dangerous nature of his character. "You let your guard down around him, because you think he's on your side ... and ...

SAN DIEGO — Newly minted box-office hero Henry Cavill played it coy when it came to talk of a rumored "Man of Steel" sequel, but one of his co-stars was a bit more forthcoming at last night's Superman 75th Anniversary Celebration bash at San Diego Comic-Con.

"It looks like it's going to happen," Harry Lennix, the man who played General Swanwick (and worked for "Avengers" director Joss Whedon on the short-lived TV series "Dollhouse"), confidently told MTV.

Cavill himself wasn't ready to make such bold declarations. "I don't know anything about 'Man of Steel 2' yet. I don't even know if it's going ahead," insisted the British actor, who has no doubt dodged that line of questioning for months now."

"Nothing in Hollywood is a safe bet," he added. "It's not done till it's done."

Even before Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" had collected $628.8 million around the world, fan speculation ran rampant about not only potential sequels, but the ultimate of DC team-ups, "The Justice League." Sure, "Green Lantern" was a misfire and Christian Bale insisted he's retired the cape and cowl, but there's no reason to believe Warner Bros. doesn't want to launch their own $1 billion franchise to compete with "Marvel's The Avengers."

The next morning, the Los Angeles Times' "Hero Complex" published a report that said an announcement about a Superman/Batman team-up movie was imminent, with the paper reporting Warner Bros. would unveil plans for the project during the Hall H panel on Saturday (July 20). SAN DIEGO — Don't laugh at "

Yes, he has a silly name. Sure, his power-set is a little low on the totem pole compared to some of Earth's other mighty heroes like the Incredible Hulk and Captain America. But when the character gets his very own movie from Marvel Studios and director Edgar Wright, it won't be a laughing matter.

At Comic-Con, Wright spoke with MTV News about what fans can expect from "Ant-Man," his long-developing comic-book movie that's currently set for a November 2015 release. The filmmaker is well-known for infusing even his most action-packed films with a healthy amount of comedy — but when it comes to "Ant-Man," expect the tone to fall in line with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"The other Marvel movies are funny," said Wright, who was at SDCC to hype his new flick, "'Iron Man' is funny, but it's not a comedy. It'll be in that tone."

Wright's involvement with "Ant-Man" dates all the way back to conversations with Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige in the early 2000s. Now, so many years later, he's ready to bring the character to life in Marvel's creatively unified universe.

"The script is done and I start doing prep on it in October," he revealed. "'Ant-Man' is [going to be] better with 2015 effects than with 2005 effects. It has to be."

What "Ant-Man" doesn't have — at least not yet — is a leading man. Indeed, it's not even clear which version of Ant-Man fans will see in the movie: arrogant scientist Hank Pym, ...

SAN DIEGO — Vin Diesel surrendered to MTV's questions about his Marvel meeting, while artfully avoiding any specific confirmations. He demonstrated that cool, gravely laugh, cautiously treading into top-secret territory at Comic-Con on Friday (July 19).

The last time Diesel came to SDCC, he was promoting a little movie called "Pitch Black." Thirteen years later, he returned to unleash some killer red-band footage from to a vocal Hall H crowd. While the in-depth look at Diesel's third cinematic turn as the goggle-wearing outer space badass was supercool, Twitter feeds were abuzz after he let slip a little Marvel Universe tidbit. "There is some very big news coming at the end of this month," he teased.

Well, that certainly did little to quell the rampant speculation and excitement he ignited a short while ago when he took to social media to post about his mysterious meeting with Marvel. While he was ostensibly talking with MTV News to promote his R-rated return to the "Riddick" universe, the big super-powered elephant in the room was too big to ignore.

So, did they open up a book and say, "Which one do you want?"

"No!" he said, laughing. "I mean, ya' know, I hope there's more thought ...

PHILADELPHIA — Earlier this week, rumors spread that "X Factor" mentor Demi Lovato allegedly took aim at fellow pop star Justin Bieber during an audition stop at USC, saying, "Well, finally someone can sing the song the way it was meant to be sung," after a male contestant sang Bieber's hit "As Long as You Love Me."

But when MTV News recently caught up with Lovato, she gave us the complete story.

"What they didn't put in the tabloids is that I actually turned around 'cause the audience was like, 'Oooh' and I was like 'Actually, guys, you took me the wrong way,' " Lovato said at the Pop-Tarts Crazy Good Summer Concert in Philadelphia. "I actually explained myself right then and there, but they didn't put that on TMZ."

Shortly after the reports surfaced, Lovato, who is nominated for a 2013 VMA for "Best Female Video," was quick to fire back, taking to her Twitter account to defend and clarify her remarks.

"Btw - no shade thrown at Justin. So many people audition with his songs.. Finally someone sang it the way it was meant to be sung.." she tweeted before adding, "Meaning, finally someone sang it the way JUSTIN sang it."

Even though Lovato meant no harm by what was said, she reveals that she will now do her best to make sure that her comments do not get misconstrued.

BRONX, New York -- Sure, pairing Jay Z and Justin Timberlake for a big-time tour is great for business, but outside of the two collaborations that they share, how much chemistry could the two stars actually exhibit on stage? Apparently, a ton!

After kicking off their Legends of the Summer tour on Wednesday in Toronto, Canada, JT and Jay Z tag-teamed to thrill the sold-out crowd at New York's Yankee Stadium on Friday night. Shortly before 9:30 p.m., the pair took the stage to the tune of Jay Z's newly-released "Holy Grail." "You take the clothes off my back, and I let you," Timberlake sang atop the dinging piano keys as he and Jay emerged from different sides of the stadium only to meet at the center of the stage by the time the song's drums dropped.
