Lil Snupe Dead At 18: New Shooting Details Emerge

As hip-hop continues to mourn the loss of Meek Mill protégé Lil Snupe, details of his death continue to emerge.

According to a statement released to MTV News by Louisiana's Winnfield City Police Department on Thursday (June 20), officers responded to calls of a shooting at the Maplewood Apartments at 1901 South Jones Street at approximately 4:07 a.m. Thursday morning. On arrival, they found Lil Snupe (born Addarren Ross) had been mortally wounded with two shots to the torso area.

Winn Parish Coroner Investigators pronounced the 18-year old rapper dead at the scene after paramedics unsuccessfully attempted to revive him. Not much else is known and it remains unclear whether the address at which he was found was Snupe's residence or not. The WPD did reveal, however, that they "are currently in search of a person of interest, who is unnamed at this time."

"A motive has not been established at this time," the police department told us in a statement, adding that an investigation is open and under way.

Lil Snupe and Meek first met at a Louisiana tour stop at Grambling State University late last year. The then-17-year-old passed his demo along to the Maybach Music MC, and he made quite an impression because he was signed to the MMG rapper's imprint, Dream Chasers, almost immediately.

"He was in a van, they was finna pull off. And I went and knocked on the van, on the window. They let the window down, grabbed the mixtape and it was like 10 minutes later, 20 minutes later they called me," Snupe recalled to ...

Austin Mahone To Show Off Beatboxing Skills On ‘The Show With Vinny’

Austin Mahone recently showed us he's got killer dance moves, so it may not come as such a surprise to hear the "What About Love" star is also a talented beatboxer. On Thursday's (June 20) episode of Mahone, wearing his usual hoodie and snapback, gives host Vinny Guadagnino some pointers on how to drop a beat.

In the clip, the 17-year-old singer tells Guadagnino to "put 'em together and pop 'em," meaning his lips. While Vinny struggles slightly in the beginning, he manages to somewhat lay it down with the help of Mahone, who debuted his video for "What About Love" on June 10. Austin recently stopped by the MTV Newsroom for our show, where he talked about his celebrity crush, played a few games with fans and even discussed his Instagram photos with some famous "Mahomies."

And judging from the clip, it looks as though Vinny might have just joined the ranks of the always-faithful Mahomies. The host throws up some deuces and faintly screams, "Austin Mahone," in the beginning of the clip.

Mahone advises Vinny to make sounds similar to hitting on girls, saying "Oh, what up girl," with a wink, but Vinny can only manage to get out sounds a horse would respond to. "I used to ride horses. I can't call a girl, but I can call a horse."

Tune in to the brand-new episode of "The Show With Vinny" tonight at 10 p.m. ET to see Austin Mahone showing off his beatboxing skills.

Action Bronson Says ‘Strictly 4 My Jeeps’ Remix Definitely Isn’t ‘Accidental Racist’

Action Bronson only operates on a super-sized scale — take, for example, his beard, or the female dancers in his new "Strictly 4 My Jeeps" video — so when it came time to line-up co-stars for the "Jeeps" remix, well, the Queens MC went big, scoring verses from a pair of local heroes: LL Cool J and Lloyd Banks.

"I mean, LL is a legend, Lloyd Banks is a legend; he's one of my favorites. I was thinking of who to get on a Queens remix, and I felt that LL definitely needed to be on that — it's his song, that's an old EPMD/LL Cool J song called 'Rampage,' and he killed it," Bronson told MTV News. "And Lloyd Banks ... I had met him a while ago, in L.A., at Alchemist's house, [and] he just killed it. I mean, it's Queens."

And for a kid who grew up in Flushing, worshipping LL and Banks, landing them on the "Jeeps" remix was a dream come true; and it also showed just how far he's come in the industry in just three short years.

"It shows you kinda that you're out here; LL's not just doing songs with just anybody. He's on 'NCIS,' for God's sakes," Bronson joked. "He's a movie star also, it's not like he's just a normal guy. I was watching 'Deliver Us From Eva' and he's in the movie. It's a good feeling; to have people effing with the movement and effing with the music."

Of course, Bronson's not the only one who benefitted from "Jeeps" ... the way ...

Tiesto, David Guetta, Calvin Harris To Headline TomorrowWorld Festival

The 2013 TomorrowWorld Festival lineup has finally been announced, and it does not disappoint. This is the first year the festival company ID&T, responsible for massive electronic festival Tomorrowland, will take the party Stateside, for all those EDM fans that couldn't make it across the pond. With more than 300 acts scheduled to perform between September 27 and September 29, the festival is off to a powerful start.

The city of Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, will host the festival for its inaugural year. A-list names like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta and Calvin Harris are just the beginning. In addition to these heavy hitters, former Swedish House Mafia members Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell are slated to perform separately. There will be an exciting appearance from "Afroki" — you guessed it, Steve Aoki and Afrojack's newest collaboration project — and a special performance from non-EDM guest Riff Raff.

In addition to a killer lineup, ID&T is bringing its notable production style to the South, including large-scale stages, gourmet food vendors and a to-be-announced theme. As if this weren't enough, TommorowWorld has designed an entire community that will exist just for the weekend. Dreamville will be the festival's own campsite for 30,000 lucky fans, complete with all the amenities you can think of; most importantly, it will host an exclusive pre-party to the event.

If you haven't gotten your tickets, packages are still available, but probably not for long. In the meantime, stick with MTV News for on-the-ground coverage at TomorrowWorld's European equivalent in July, Tomorrowland, and for all of your summer-festival ...

Robert Downey Jr. Will Be Back As Iron Man

Robert Downey Jr. will be putting on his hot-rod-red superhero suit again — and then again, according to the latest news from Marvel Studios. The actor who's played Iron Man in four blockbuster films will be seen onscreen as high-flying, fancy-toy-loving genius playboy Tony Stark at least twice more, having officially signed an agreement to star in the as-yet-untitled second and third films in the "Avengers" series.

Downey made his first outing as Iron Man in the 2008 film of the same name, earning accolades for his performance as the insouciant hero and banking enough buzz (along with billions of dollars in ticket sales) to bring him back for another two "Iron Man" movies as well as a standout turn in the ensemble action hit "The Avengers."

With such reliable box-office draw for the man in the metal suit, it's no surprise that Marvel was eager to woo Downey for two more appearances; which is still in its theatrical run, has already passed the $400 million mark at the domestic box office and earned $1.2 billion worldwide, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film in history. And as for the actor, he's made it clear that he'll be happy to run Stark Enterprises for as long as Hollywood cares to have him — as long as the movies are worth making.

"I would really hate for someone else to think they could step into my shoes," he said in an interview with MTV News last year. "As usual in my book, it's all about quality control and delivering a product that ...

Waka Flocka Flame is currently securing the features for his Flockaveli 2 album, and on Wednesday, the Atlanta rapper paid a visit to to debut the new visuals for the T.I.-assisted "50K (Remix)."

Waka explained that since recording the original track, he's evolved as a rapper. "When I did '50K,' I tried the ultimate 'hood [song], but I graduated; I'm a grown man now," he said. "Now there's not no wildness. I've probably been rapping for three or four years now, so now it's really starting to become fluent, so a lot of people be in trouble who be tryna sleep on me on certain records."

Unlike previous video shoots, where things usually got a bit out of hand, Waka tried to keep it calm for this one. "I shot that in Atlanta and it was a straight green-screen video," he said. "I ain't wanna crash nobody's 'hood 'cause a lot of police don't like me for shutting people's neighborhoods down and starting riots. So I said this album I'ma lean up, man.

"It's just because of the crowd I bring, they can't control it," Waka added. "At my shows, you can't have 10 security guards — you have to have 25."

J. Cole Went Head-To-Head With Kanye Because ‘My Album Is Great’

June 18 was a monstrous day for hip-hop, with Kanye West, J. Cole and Mac Miller all dropping big projects. J. Cole made a calculated decision to have his Born Sinner release date coincide with Kanye's Yeezus, but during his visit to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday, the Roc Nation rapper explained that it was "more about the statement" than the sales.

As host Sway Calloway pointed out during the interview, Cole even addresses his decision to go up against 'Ye on the Born Sinner track "Forbidden Fruit," rapping, "I'ma drop the album the same day as Kanye/ Just to show the boys the man now like Wanyá."

Cole explained that he had no illusions about being able to compete with Kanye's iconic status — he simply wanted to make a point by changing the album's original June 25 release date, which would have put him up against Wale's The Gifted.

"I could've left it right where I was and just gone head-to-head with Wale and seen what happened there. I would've had a much better chance, but it wasn't about the sales," he said. "That would be a nice bonus, but it's more about the statement, [and putting] my name in the conversation. I'ma throw my name in the hat.

"This is art, and I can't compete against the Kanye West celebrity and the status that he's earned just from being a genius," Cole added. "But I can put my name in the hat and tell you that I think my album is great and you be the judge and you ...
