‘True Blood’ Season Six Premiere Preview

"No one lives forever," warns the gauzy, crimson-colored poster promoting the season six premiere of HBO's "True Blood." And with a war brewing between fangs and the fang-nots, there will no doubt be plenty of blood shed when the vampire drama returns to the airwaves. With the premiere debuting on Sunday, June 16, here's what you need to know before tuning in:

Where We Left Off
One word: "Billith." After downing the entire vial of Lilith's blood (a potent cocktail, to be sure), the vampire dissolved into a puddle of bloody goop — slowly re-solidifying and rising into a truly terrifying new form. What he is exactly, we don't know. But it's enough to make even normally stoic Eric Northman nervous.

Meanwhile, in another corner of Vampire Authority HQ, Luna used her skinwalking powers to shift into Steve Newlin's form and sneak out with her kidnapped daughter (currently in puppy form). But things didn't go as planned (do they ever, in Bon Temps?), and she was ushered in front of television cameras to give an address as the reverend. But she couldn't keep his form through the live broadcast and shifted back. Will she make it out alive?

But the finale wasn't all death and destruction. Alcide experienced a rebirth of sorts as Packmaster of the Shreveport wolves (albeit after killing the current one), while Andy Bellefleur welcomed a litter of fairy-babies. (Check out a full recap of the season five finale at Hollywood Crush.)

Where We're Headed
The season premiere picks up right where we left off: inside the ruling bloodsuckers' lair with Bill ...

Happy Father’s Day, Kanye West: Gift Guide For The New Dad

Kanye West probably wasn't expecting to be celebrate Father's Day on the daddy end this year. After all, his daughter with Kim Kardashian wasn't due until July, and the Chicago-born rapper has been in full-on promo mode for his sixth studio album, Yeezus, which despite leaking online Friday, will get its official release on Tuesday.

But, alas, at the dawn of "Yeezus Season" and five weeks early, the pop culture's most anticipated baby was born on Saturday. Kanye reportedly canceled his appearance at Friday night's Yeezus release party as well as a rumored appearance at Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash to be by Kim's side for the entire birth.

So whether he's ready for it or not, Yeezy has some celebrating to do. And while the he's usually pretty tight-lipped about his family life — "This is my baby; this isn't America's baby," he told The New York Times — we have some ideas for what he may want this Father's Day.

A Throne Armchair
If Kanye has made anything clear on his sixth studio album, it's that he considers himself a god -- he even recruited the big man himself for a feature. Would you get God a $40 necktie for Father's Day? We didn't think so. Luckily, the guys over at Design Toscano have crafted this "attention-demanding" full-size replica of King Tut's throne. And in addition to its ""exquisite" ornamentation, it's just $1,200, — pocket change compared to West's $750,000 birthday Lamborghini. We could definitely see ye burping his little one on this thing.

‘Man Of Steel’: Superman And Lois Lane Ditch Old-Timey Romance

As with many other aspects of the Superman mythology, "Man of Steel" reinvents the relationship between the superhero and his longtime love interest, Lois Lane. In the past, Lane has served as a nosy proxy for the audience who falls for Superman but often gives him reasons to have to do some saving — whenever she gets herself into a pickle. But Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, explained that their relationship is much more sophisticated in the new film than in prior ones.

"He's spent his whole life with only two people knowing what he can do," Cavill told MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "Of course, they can only sympathize with him, they can't empathize." Describing the strained introduction the two have — after she uncovers his actual identity — Cavill indicates that their shared secret forges a bond unlike those audiences have ever seen. "It's one of those situations where he's forced into it, but it's actually a great relationship because he realizes he can trust her — and he thought that never possible."

As Lois Lane, Amy Adams had a remarkable opportunity to create a character who, for the first time, was smart and sophisticated and wasn't defined purely by her relationship to Superman. Adams said that wasn't a responsibility she took lightly.

"You treat it with a lot of reverence and respect," she said. "It felt very real. You're acting and stuff, but we were there, and you just transport yourself to the reality of it. I liked that Zack created a Lois who isn't swooning over him, but ...

R. Kelly Bares His Soul In Triumphant Bonnaroo Dance Party

MANCHESTER, Tennessee — R. Kelly brought a soulful sexy vibe to the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival farm as only he can, infusing his Saturday night set with enough tongue-in-cheek innuendo and off-the-cuff humor to keep everyone bouncing along with him and his crew.

Kelly let it all hang out, serving up his "Ignition (Remix)" right off the bat before presenting a perfect blend of feel-good party jams and gut-wrenching ballads.

The crooner invited the crowd to join his "Fiesta" and "Move Your Body Like a Snake," convincing them there's nothing wrong with a lil "Bump 'n Grind."

R. Kelly's medley also hit Kanye West's "Flashing Lights" alongside "Sex in the Kitchen," "Step In the Name of Love" and "I'm a Flirt."

"If music has inspired you to do better, make some noise," Kelly encouraged before capping off his set with "I Believe I Can Fly," backed by a robed choir as dozens of white dove balloons floated dreamily into the night sky.

Also Saturday at Bonnaroo, Jack Johnson filled in for Mumford & Sons, who canceled their appearance after bassist Ted Dwane had surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain.

Earlier in the day, Nas and Bjork held it down on the main stage.

The festival wraps up Sunday (June 16) with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky.

Father’s Day Gift Guide: From ‘Man Of Steel’ To Yeezus, We Got You Covered!

Your father is sick of craft-beer-of-the-month subscriptions and "Sopranos"-branded socks — trust us. The thing about Father's Day is that shopping for dear old dad is kind of a drag and that pained look on his face when he opens up another set of grill tools is more embarrassing than watching with him on Sunday night.

So, the MTV News staff put our heads together to come up with the ultimate pop-culture gift guide for you, from the best movies to music, super-cool gear and age-appropriate bling that will make the old man look slightly less embarrassing when he goes out to get the newspaper in sandals and black socks.

Yeezus, That's Loud!
If dad has been falling victim to the monotony of his daily routine recently, he might simply be in need of a new soundtrack to help him get motivated and clear out the cobwebs. Kanye West's upcoming sixth album, Yeezus, with its massive electronic influence and intense howling vocals, will be just what the doctored ordered.

I mean, seriously, how many times have you had to listen to his music on 11 and act like it was, "Yeah pops, 'totally dope'?" Unfortunately, the album isn't available for pre-order, so throw dad a little IOU until you can pick up a hard copy for him on June 18. — Nadeska Alexis

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West’s Daughter: A Pregnancy Timeline

Keeping up with the Kardashians — Kim and boyfriend Kanye West, that is — has become increasingly complicated. This week alone, West set the Internet ablaze with an infinitely quotable New York Times interview, saw the leak of his upcoming album Yeezus and welcomed his first child with Kardashian.

Baby Kimye has been perhaps the most talked about celebrity spawn since Beyoncè gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter in January 2012, and with Kardashian and West continually courting the media (purposefully or otherwise), her impending arrival has been a hot topic since late last year. Let's take a look back:

December 30, 2012
West announced that he and Kardashian were expecting during a performance in Atlantic City, telling the audience in Revel Resort's Ovation Hall to "make some noise" for his "baby mama."

Kardashian confirmed the news the next day, writing on her blog, "It's true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us. Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo."

May 6, 2013
The couple attended the fashion-forward Met Gala, where during his performance, West paused to bolster his lady love. "Don't let nobody bring you down, you're so awesome, you're so awesome!," the rapper said, a comment reportedly meant for Kardashian, who'd been garnering unflattering tabloid attention during her pregnancy.

May 22
Rumors began swirling that the couple was ...
