‘Game Of Thrones’: Samwell Tells Us Season Four’s Secrets Of The Night’s Watch

Things are looking pretty bad for the Westeros on the upcoming season of "Game of Thrones," and nowhere are the stakes higher than the massive, icy Wall that protects the people from armies of invading Wildlings — and worse.

On the front lines? John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, best friend to Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and savior of Gilly (Hannah Murray). Sam the Slayer may have killed a monstrous White Walker north of the wall, but on returning home to the guards in the Night's Watch, he's about to encounter even bigger trouble.

"Well, they've got a huge task ahead of them, really," Bradley told MTV News. "Ever since we first became acquainted with them it's been quite clear they've not got the resources necessary to do the job that they have to do."

They'll need those resources, as an enormous army of Wildlings — free people who live without rules in the North — is gathering on both sides of the Wall, closing in on the Night's Watch's. And they are not ready.

"They're the first line of defense against any attack from the North, but they've been sitting quite idle for years and years," Bradley continued, "Getting rusty and gathering together this rather make-shift arsenal and hoping that they'll never [have] to use it."

And they will have to use that arsenal; particularly given the Night's Watch only has a few hundred men, while the Wildlings stand tens of thousands strong including several actual giants.

"It's terrifying for them because not only in terms of strength in numbers, but in terms of equipment ...

Where Does ‘Captain America 2’ Rank Among Marvel Studios Movies?

It's that time again! A new Marvel Studios movie is about the grace the silver screen, and I have the surprisingly difficult task of ranking their nine heroic efforts to date.

This time, I'm tossing "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" into the mix, and suffice it to say that the return of the world's most patriotic hero shakes up the order a bit.

Check out my updated ranking of every Marvel Studios movie below!

9. "Iron Man 2"
What's the worst way to follow up a surprisingly fun and fresh superhero movie with a likeable hero? Make an overly serious sequel that doesn't keep the spirit original alive. Marvel Studios' first "2" had the same drawbacks as sequels in other hero franchises, more of the same without anything to add to the conversation. Plus, "Iron Man 3" covered a lot of the same ground with much more deft and humor.

8. "The Incredible Hulk"
I have to give the second crack at a Hulk movie a bit of a break because Marvel Studios was still finding its footing in the Cinematic Universe, but all the Edward Norton-led movie really does is prove how good "Iron Man" is. Too self-serious and without an ounce of humor to balance it out, "The Incredible Hulk" is too obsessed with winking at the camera to find its own voice.

7. "Thor"
The first movie to feature the god of thunder was where Marvel found its stride. Director Kenneth Branaugh told a fun, Shakespeare-inspired tale of two brothers jockeying for their father's approval. Peak Marvel was still a few movies off and ...

Rainbow Rowell’s ‘Eleanor & Park’ Will Be A Hollywood Romance For The 99%

Rainbow Rowell's "Eleanor & Park" is joining the march of young adult novels to the silver screen, but with one major divergence: Her cinematic adaptation will likely not star the likes of Jennifer Lawrence or Shailene Woodley. In fact, if she has her way, the leading roles will be played by complete unknowns.

"There are not established actors who could play these roles, I don't think," Rowell told MTV News. "I don't think they're unusual characters in life — I think there are a lot of people like Eleanor and Park — but they are unusual people to be in movies and to star in movies. There's not a lot of chubby redheads and 16-year-old Korean guys who star in movies."

Set in the '80s in Omaha, "Eleanor & Park" tells the tale of two 16-year-old misfits who fall in love on the bus — a romance that blossoms as the two trade comics and music across the social divide that is high school.

Eleanor is the fiery-haired daughter of a ripped-to-shreds home, menaced by her stepfather. Park is a half-Korean loner starting to rebel against the masculine ideals of his father. Together, they make up one of the sweetest — and most realistic — couples in contemporary YA.

Wednesday, EW announced that soon fans will be able to see that same love story unfold on the big screen. DreamWorks Studios has picked up the film rights to the book, with producer Carla Hacken ("Walk the Line" and "The Devil Wears Prada") and executive producer Matt Kennedy ("Predestination") already on ...

Is Dame Dash Mad At Jay Z? Ex Roc-A-Fella Exec Explains

Can you put a price on loyalty? If you ask Dame Dash, a helping hand certainly deserves some support in return. During a visit to on Wednesday, Jay Z's former business partner vented about the lack of support that's been shown to fellow Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Kareem "Biggs" Burke during his legal proceedings.

In June 2012 Burke was sentenced to five years in prison, after pleading guilty to conspiring to distribute over 100 kilos of marijuana, and Dame is outraged that he's been left to fend for himself.

He first expressed his disappointment in an Instagram post, where he blasted, "the people that I personally watched Biggs help," for sitting back and looking on. Of course, there was an immediate assumption that his anger was directed toward Jay Z, but Dame cleared that up.

"I'm not too satisfied with the support of those that he's looked out for over the years," he told Sway, going on to address rumors that he was throwing those shots at Jay.

"It doesn't matter what people think. I don't project for that. I just project. If the shoe fits it has to be worn. If I have an issue with Jay, I'll step to Jay about it, but my point is overall, it ain't Jay, it's a lot of people that I've seen him look out for that are expecting him to ask for help and he's not gonna ask for it.

"He's gonna do his time like a man, he's not gonna tell on nobody, and he's not gonna complain."

Dame has been showing his ...

Joe Jonas Explains Why He Had It Easier Than Justin Bieber

It's been five months since the Jonas Brothers shocked fans with their surprising split, and by now you've probably taken your posters down off your wall, packed away your merch and locked up all those JoBros memories in a safe place.

But all's not lost because the band of brothers has each been working separately on their own projects. Nick took on the job of creative and musical director on Demi Lovato's Neon Lights Tour, Kevin has been on diaper duty as proud new dad to daughter Alena Rose and Joe's now in the "baby stages" of his next musical project.

"I'm trying to [make it] something that I really want it to be — do music that I'm really proud of and not let too many cooks in the kitchen," Joe told Scene magazine. "I'm really at the baby stages. I'm writing with people I like and admire, but I'm taking my sweet, sweet time with it."

Taking his sweet time is something that couldn't be said about his 2011 solo album, Fastlife, which he felt rushed to complete "in a big way." So this time around, Joe's calling all of the shots. And He's worked with several collaborators so far, including the Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr.

These 5 Joe Jonas Scene Mag Pics Remind Us How Foiyne He Is

"There are always stereotypes when people think of a band, any artist, that they're going to sound like a certain thing," Joe told the magazine. "[I hope that] when I hit the reset button ...

The Amazing ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Finale Scene You Never Got To See

Prepare to have your mind blown...all the way to the mall.

Dave Baker, the props master for "How I Met Your Mother," shared a number of revelations about the series' finale episode after it aired, the biggest of which is that we could have seen one last Robin Sparkles performance.

Just let that sink in for one moment. Here's a tissue. It's OK. Let it out.

Baker tweeted a pic of Cobie Smulders, who plays Robin, with the iconic Robin Sparkles jean jacket thrown on over her wedding dress, rocking out with the mother (Cristin Milioti) on the bass. According to Baker, we missed out on an encore rendition of "Let's Go To The Mall," the pop song that made Robin's alter ego, Robin Sparkles, a teen sensation in Canada.

And, yes, that is infamous Sparkles co-conspirator/sidekick Robot, looking dapper in his formal wear nearby.

Baker tweeted a close-up of Robot as well, naturally.

According to Baker, several other scenes (some of which contain the answers to some of our burning questions) were left on the cutting room floor, including one revealing the identity of Number 31, the mother of Barney's daughter, and the explanation of the Pineapple Incident.

Here's to hoping all these scenes end up on the eventual DVD release of the season. The people demand answers! And more than answers — the people need to get their Sparkle on.

We really couldn't have gotten a little more of this to cap the series off?

Enough said.

Captain America 101: Everything You Need To Know To Watch ‘Winter Soldier’

Even though "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" features a recap of prior events about 15 minutes into the movie, it's still a sequel to 2011's "Captain America: The First Avenger" — not to mention the ninth movie in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Add in all the ancillary games, short films, comics and TV shows, and you have a potential headache when heading to the theater this weekend.

With all that in mind, it's going to take more than a simple check of the "First Avenger" Wikipedia page to get up to speed in time to see "Winter Soldier" when it opens April 4. Not to worry, Cap fans! Having seen the movie already, we can lay out exactly what you need to know, so you won't have any pesky questions once you hit up the multiplex.

Back in the '40s, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) was changed into a giant muscle man named Captain America, using a semi-scientific formula called the Super-Soldier Serum. It gave him super-speed, super-strength, and really big pecs.

Helping him out was Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), a woman who turned out to be his true, unrequited love. She was in the army, and later went on to create S.H.I.E.L.D. (which we'll get to in a second).

Also helping him out were his team, The Howling Commandos — and most notably Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). Bucky and Steve grew up together, and entered the army together.

During World War II, Steve and the Howling Commandos clashed with an evil Nazi splinter group ...
