J. Cole Readies High-Tech Born Sinner Listening Sessions In Eight Cities

It isn't uncommon for artists to hold listening sessions for press and industry mainstays a week or two before their albums drop. More than just a privileged experience, the practice helps media outlets determine how to cover an upcoming release. But on Thursday (June 6), J. Cole plans to flip the script on the common practice.

Cole will be holding a private listening of his June 18 Born Sinner LP for media tonight in New York City, but he has found a pretty cool way to treat his fans to an advanced listen as well. "Born Sinner will stream 1 time tomorrow at these exact coordinates ... 8pm EST/ 7pm CT/ 5pm PST," the Roc Nation MC tweeted on Wednesday night while linking to a site with latitude and longitude coordinates in Atlanta, Boston, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles and Cole's native Fayetteville, North Carolina.

The concept is similar to Kanye West's May 17 premiere of his , for which he gathered crowds in various cities and projected the clip on a number of public buildings. Cole's execution is a little more involved, however. Before fans show up to the designated locations, they must first download the LSNR application on their iPhones or Androids. "Please bring 1. iphone fully charged, 2. with LSNR app downloaded and enabled, and 3. favorite pair of headphones," he tweeted. "This is for those that can't be at the NYC listening tomorrow night."

The "Power Trip" MC has been boasting about his album for some time now, but at the same ...

Nine Inch Nails Return With New Single, Album And Tour

Nine Inch Nails waved goodbye in 2009 as Trent Reznor turned his attention to film scores and making music with another group, How To Destroy Angels.

But the faithful never lost hope that someday, he'd return to NIN, and, in February, Reznor announced that he was reforming the group ... though only to tour. Of course, as these things tend to go, a few shows weren't nearly enough, and on Thursday (June 6), Nine Inch Nails revealed they've been working on a whole lot more than just tour routing.

NIN are back in full swing, with a brand-new single — "Came Back Haunted," which sounds very much like an updated take on something from the Pretty Hate Machine era (maybe "Sin?") and is streaming in full over on their Tumblr — a new album, Hesitation Marks (due September 3 through Columbia Records), and a full-blown arena tour, set to kick off September 28 in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Yes, it's a very good day indeed for NIN fans.

"Came Back Haunted" is already available through iTunes, and fans who pre-order Hesitation Marks (NIN's first album since 2008's The Slip, which was initially released for free) through the site will instantly receive a download of the single.

And as for that tour, well, it's called "Nine Inch Nails: Tension 2013," and, according to Reznor, it's a continuation of their epic 2008 trek — "'Tension' picks up where 'Lights in the Sky' left off," he said in a statement. "This is the full-on NIN live experience, realized as we ...

Selena Gomez Points A Gun At Ethan Hawke In ‘Getaway’ Trailer

This isn't the "Wizards of Waverly Place" anymore. The new trailer for Selena Gomez and Ethan Hawke's action thriller, premiered Thursday (June 6), and it plants the former Disney star's feet in a world filled with fast cars, guns and intrigue.

The movie follows Hawke's character, a former race-car driver, as he races against the clock to save his kidnapped wife while not being completely sure what the bad guy is after. Along the way, he runs into Gomez; shortly after she points a gun at him, she is forced to join him on the mission at the command of Hawke's wife's kidnapper. Will he kill her at the kidnapper's request? "I'm not a killer," he says.

"Good, you will need her help if you want your wife back," the kidnapper declares, leaving viewers to wonder what she might have to bring to the equation. The trailer is then filled with car chases, more guns and Gomez looking pretty worried that Hawke still might off her. "I'm not dying for you," she tells him, as he contemplates his next move to save his wife perhaps without too much collateral damage.

This marks Gomez's latest turn in a more mature film. Earlier this year, she ran around Florida in a bikini in Harmony Korine's bad-girl flick, "Getaway" opens August 30 and also stars Jon Voight, Rebecca Budig and Bruce Payne.

In addition to the summer action flick, Gomez will also drop her new album, Stars Dance, on July 23. She recently revealed a track list for ...

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran Offer Up A Twist In ‘Everything Has Changed’ Video

They are besties on the road who hang out at glitzy award shows, like Wednesday's 2013 CMT Music Awards. But in their just-released new music video for Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are stripping down all the glamour of pop-star life to pay homage to the simple pleasures of a sun-drenched suburban childhood.

The clip follows a fair-haired little girl as she hops on the school bus. When she gets to school she meets a ginger-haired little boy and immediately they become friends. Their innocent friendship mimics the lyrics of Swift and Sheeran's duet about a butterfly-inducing courtship.

The two schoolmates do typical elementary school activities with one another (build forts, make arts and crafts), but along the way there are hints that they just might be kid versions of their super-famous adult look-alikes. The little girl wears frilly dresses and tries out red lipstick, while the little boy strums the guitar and gets fake tats. Could it be they are, in fact, Taylor and Ed before all the fame and fortune?

Watching the video, it would seem like fans are being treated to some kind of origin story about how Taylor and Ed ended up being pals as adults. But there's a twist. Each of the pop stars is the parent to one of the two young BFFs. After the school bell rings, the two kids run out and give hugs to their respective parents, who share a quick glance and then go their separate ways.

Adam Sandler: Five Things We Never Knew

Before reuniting with the gang from 2010's hit comedy "Grown Ups," Adam Sandler sat down with MTV News' Josh Horowitz to premiere a clip from the sequel on MTV, and he stuck around for a 30-minute interview on MTV.com.

Over the course of their chat, Sandler covered a broad range of topics, including Shaq's tongue, Justin Bieber's abs and the location of his extra set of nipples, but for your convenience, these are the five things we learned during "MTV First: Grown Ups 2."

Taylor Lautner Plays Basketball On Sandler's Court
MTV News was lucky enough to sit down with Sandler on his production company's basketball court, which he calls "Happy Madison Square Garden." The court has seen some famous faces stop by to shoot hoops, including, recently, Sandler's "Grown Ups 2" co-star Taylor Lautner. "I couldn't believe it," Sandler said. "He was so nice, such a great kid, smart. I love him."

Shaq Licked The Entire Cast Clean
At least that's what Sandler claims happened on set while the former NBA superstar was filming his cameo. Shaq plays an old friend of the gang who became a police officer. He was kind enough to film a video question for "MTV First," and Sandler couldn't say enough nice things about him. "Shaq, by far, was our favorite guy," Sandler said. "Unanimously, every comedian in the movie said Shaq was funnier than them."

The Jump From The Trailer Was Based On Real Life
In the previews for "Grown Ups 2," a frat bro played by Lautner forces Sandler and the gang to jump off a cliff ...

Hunter Hayes promised fans a crazy show at the 2013 CMT Music Awards, and "Crazy" is what they got. Hunter's second single that is.

Hunter took the show outside Bridgestone Area while the sun was setting in Nashville, Tennessee, hand-slapping his fans as he strode up to the stage. As he sang the opening lines of "I Want Crazy," he jumped in front of Hayniacs in a tight-fitted white T-shirt and jeans, guitar-pick necklace dangling from his neck.

The "Wanted" singer launched into the chorus, with his fans bouncing and bobbing in heart-shaped sunglasses. Two, red H's flashed behind him as the band rocked out. Hunter waved his arms in between guitar licks and sang confidently: "Are you with me baby? Let's be crazy."

‘Man Of Steel’ Makes Superman Relatable, Zack Snyder Says

Superman isn't just a superhero, he's the superhero — one gifted with more abilities and powers than the next five combined. In however, Zack Snyder wanted the great-granddaddy of all costumed comic book characters to be relatable to normal old humans, even if he still possessed all of the abilities that make him, well, super.

"I went into the movie trying to say, if we were Superman, how would we react in these situations?" Snyder told MTV News at the film's recent Los Angeles press day. "Because I always felt in the past Superman has kind of been this unrelatable character — we look at him like a god. And I felt like I understood the 'why' of Superman ... we understood his love of humanity and his morality and then we would 'get' the grown-up Superman."

Snyder has spent much of his career thus far deconstructing superhero mythology, creating metatextual portraits of superhuman characters in "300," "Watchmen" and "Sucker Punch," where audiences come for the spandex and stay for the subtext. But even after the mixed reception he received for "Sucker Punch," Snyder insisted that he considers as personal as any of his other films, even if it's maybe a little more straightforward than its predecessors.

"I was approached for the very first time after '300' and asked if I wanted to do Superman," he revealed. "I was doing 'Watchmen' and I thought it was difficult to take a sidestep there — it's like the opposite in a weird way. But I am a fan of the ...

Papoose Crashes ‘RapFix Live’ Set To Freestyle

Papoose is a man who knows what he wants. The self-proclaimed King of New York surprised hip-hop fans when he stormed the stage unannounced at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert on Sunday night in New Jersey. Then, on Wednesday (June 5), Pap did it again when he crashed the "RapFix Live" set with a special freestyle.

"I thugged my way up on the Summer Jam stage/ Me and Kendrick Lamar, we on the same page/ Rick Ross and Wayne was on the stage too/ Only person everybody talkin' 'bout is Papoose," the Brooklyn MC barked right after he shoved "RFL" host Sway Calloway off-camera.

Since he went through all the trouble, after performing the tailor-made rhyme, Sway invited Pap on the couch for a quick interview. "I just feel like New York artist is not getting their just due," he began, explaining why he overtook the Summer Jam stage the way he did. "I just woke up with a certain determination in my mind. I looked at the bill for Summer Jam and I said, 'You know what? I'm gonna place myself right there.' "

On Sunday, after Kendrick Lamar ended his set a few minutes early, Pap and producer Ron Browz marched out to the tune of their new single from Papoose's The Nacirema Dream LP, "Get At Me." Hot 97 program director Ebro Darden, and the entire MetLife stadium was shocked at the surprise performance and Pap quickly saw his name trending on Twitter after the bold stunt.

The next day, the BK lyricist explained that it was his buddy ...
