Miley Cyrus Grows Up, Gets ‘Turnt Up’ On ‘We Can’t Stop’

Miley Cyrus really can't be tamed. After weeks of teasing fans about the release of her single the singer finally dropped it on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Monday (June 3), giving Smilers a taste of a more mature Cyrus.

Produced by Mile Will Made it, the single has summer jam vibe and celebrates partying and just being yourself. Unlike some of her earlier party songs, "We Can't Stop" doesn't have that distinct electronic sound. Instead, she went for '90s R&B and pop influences with the inclusion of piano and fuzzy synths. A chopped-and-screwed-style voice opens the track with the proclamation, "It's our party, we can do what we want/ It's our party we can say who we want/ It's our party, we can go love who we want."

Cyrus is clearly making a grown-up statement on the song, and fans might be surprised by Miley's references to party drugs like Ecstasy (or Molly as its been named) and getting "turnt up" on the tune. On the chorus, Miley sings, "We like to party/ Dancing with Molly/ Doing whatever we want/ This is our house/ This is our rules/ And we can't stop/ And we won't stop/ Can't you see it's we who own the night."

It's not all partying though. The head-bopping track also has a message or two for the haters weaved into the lyrics. "To my homegirls here with the big butts/ Shaking it like we're at the strip club/ Remember only god can judge you/ Forget the haters, 'cause somebody loves 'ya," she sings about twerking.

Angelina Jolie Makes First Appearance Since Double Mastectomy

Just weeks after writing about her preventive double mastectomy, Angelina Jolie made her first red-carpet appearance at the London premiere of Brad Pitt's latest flick,

Donning a chic black Saint Laurent gown, the actress spoke to several media outlets at the fete, opening up about her decision to be so candid about her surgery, which she underwent after being diagnosed with a mutated BRCA1 gene. She wrote about her surgery in a piece for the New York Times published in May.

"I've been very happy just to see the discussion about women's health expanded, and that means the world to me," Jolie told reporters, according to the BBC. "After losing my mom to these issues, I'm very grateful for it."

Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer in 2007, and shortly after Jolie penned her essay, she also lost her aunt, Debbie Martin (Bertrand's sister), to breast cancer.

However, at the premiere, Jolie tried to put the spotlight back on Pitt and his zombie-themed June 21 film release. "I'm very excited for Brad. And it's a very fun film and my boys are around tonight so they're enjoying it," she said, before adding, "He's been extraordinary, just extraordinary. He's such a wonderful man and a wonderful father. I'm very, very lucky."

In the wake of her candid essay, the Oscar winner has received lots of support from her peers in Hollywood, and that includes her partner, Pitt, who spoke about her courage at the premiere.

"Well, I mean the beautiful thing is that for us, ...

French Montana, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj Rock Summer Jam — But Papoose Steals The Show!

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — There are two things that rap fans expect from Hot 97's annual Summer Jam concert: rain and a flood of surprise guests.

The rain has become a near-inevitability, but the parade of secret guests is tradition. So even though the robust official main stage lineup boasted Joe Budden, Miguel, Wale, Chris Brown, Fabolous, Wu-Tang Clan, 2 Chainz, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar and French Montana, fans rightfully expected so much more on Sunday night.

During the early portion of the five-hour throw-down, Mariah Carey, J. Cole, Meek Mill, Pusha T, Black Hippy, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Lil' Kim all surprised the crowd at the open-air MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, for what was New York radio station Hot 97's 20th installment of Summer Jam. Still, the absolute best came as the night began to wind down during 2 Chainz's set when the savvy Atlanta rap star welcomed Nicki Minaj to the stage, a year after she boycotted the concert.

The Pink Friday MC was met with much excitement as she performed "I Luv Dem Strippers" and "Beez in the Trap" with Chainz, but not every guest received such a warm welcome last night.

In what appeared to be an unplanned moment, Brooklyn MC Papoose hijacked some time in between Kendrick Lamar's and French Montana's closing sets, taking the wind out of a crowd that was widely hoping Jay-Z would make his umpteenth Summer Jam appearance. (He would not, despite roaring social media buzz.)

When New York representative French Montana finally took the stage to wrap things ...

Kim And Kanye’s ‘It’s A Girl’ Reveal Was A ‘Mutual’ Decision

It's a girl for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian! On Sunday night's premiere of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," Kim shared with the world that she'll be stocking up on lots of pink before the baby's summer due date.

But given that Kanye has gone on the record in a recent onstage tirade that he "ain't no mother----ing celebrity," it might seem surprising that his girlfriend revealed their unborn baby's gender in such a public way. Little sister Khloe Kardashian opened up to MTV News about their decision to let cameras roll when she found out the sex, noting the normally private rapper and the spotlight-loving starlet discussed it all before it hit the air.

"Kim and Kanye, they both mutually agree on obviously what they want to have on the show or not," she said earlier this week, ahead of the episode's premiere. "And so I think everyone is curious and wants to know. And we have opened up so much of our lives, so I think it's only natural. And I'm excited. I'm excited for everyone to find out so I can stop holding in information."

During the episode, Kim opened up about having a baby girl with her rapper beau. "I'm so excited we're having a girl," she said. "Who doesn't want a girl? They're the best and I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl."

Will Kanye Keep Up With Kim This Season?

So it's another girl for and already female-heavy clan, but Aunt Khloe didn't seem to mind what ...

‘The Wanted Life’ Reveals How ‘Serious’ Nathan Sykes’ Vocal Trouble Was

After watching the trailer for "The Wanted Life," boy band The Wanted's new reality TV show, it seems safe to assume they expected to accomplish two things when they signed on: make music and have fun. And though they did both during taping for the E! show, there's one thing they definitely didn't expect to happen while in L.A.

"We've had an extensive touring and traveling schedule for the past year, and Nathan [Sykes] is singing really hard and different songs and has a lot to do. We could hear that he was getting ill, going on and off, but no indication that there was a serious problem," Jay McGuiness told MTV News when the band stopped by last Friday.

The boys go from long days in the studio to long nights partying in the episode that premiered Sunday night. Then one day, Sykes steps offstage and complains of vocal soreness. At the time, McGuiness said he didn't foresee it as an issue though. In fact, the U.K. singer thought it might add buzz to the plotlines!

"As the show started, we slowly realized it was getting serious and the producers were all like, 'Hopefully, he's OK,' and I was like, 'Yes! This is adding drama to the show."

The group wasn't prepared for how severe the injury would be for Sykes, who had to undergo vocal cord surgery. The recovery eventually required him to leave the group for an (which fans will get to see this season on the show). Suddenly, the Wanted were down a band member.

Baby Jaden Smith ‘Saw Ghosts,’ M. Night Shyamalan Jokes

Although they haven't previously worked together, "After Earth" director M. Night Shyamalan and his two leading men Will and Jaden Smith have been friends for several years. But Shyamalan revealed that he was slightly discomfited to discover at what an early age Jaden got introduced to his work, especially given the intensity of films like "The Sixth Sense" that helped the filmmaker become one of Hollywood's biggest names.

"The very first time I met Jaden, he was I think 7," Shyamalan told MTV News' Josh Horowitz. "He had a big fro and I went to visit Will at his house. Will said, Jaden, come here and tell Night what you thought of 'The Sixth Sense'. I was like, you let this baby see 'Sixth Sense'? At first I was admonishing him for poor parenting skills."

Perhaps ironically, parenting skills are the underlying subject of Shyamalan's collaboration with the Smiths. In are stranded on the surface of a hostile planet, and Will's character must instruct his son how to deal with the physical and emotional challenges of becoming an adult.

Despite his reservations about Jaden seeing his film, Shyamalan explained that the young man apparently knew his work intimately — so much so, in fact, that he admitted to relating to the main character's biggest problem. "This little kid came up and he was like, I see ghosts too! I was like, of course he's going to see ghosts — he's totally traumatized by this movie when he was inappropriately young!
