Did Rapper Tim Dog Fake His Own Death?

On Tuesday (May 21) a judge in Desoto County, Mississippi issued an arrest warrant for rapper Tim Dog ... which is interesting, considering the notorious "F--- Compton" MC supposedly died in February.

However, according to the Desoto County District Attorney's office, a death certificate has never been filed, and no one seems to know where Tim Dog — real name Timothy Blair &#8212 was buried. Which means, in their eyes, he is still very much alive, and may have faked his death to avoid court-mandated payments to a woman he stole $32,000 from in 2011.

"I need proof. I need a death certificate showing that he's dead, because as far as I'm concerned, he's alive," prosecutor Steven Jubera told Memphis news channel 3 WREG. "Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary."

Blair plead guilty to grand larceny two years ago and was given five years' probation. A judge also ordered him to repay $19,000 to a Mississippi woman he defrauded in a financial scheme within the probation period, but that woman says the payments stopped when he was reported dead in February. Suspicious, she sent a friend down to Atlanta, where Blair allegedly died, to find a death certificate, but that search came up empty.

After speaking with the victim, WREG hired a private investigator to look into the matter, who couldn't locate a death certificate either, and told the station that, as of April, there was also an active address for Blair in Atlanta.

Psy Calls Out Fake Psy For Crashing Cannes

Some artists would go ballistic if they found out some joker was impersonating them on the red carpet at a major media event. Not Psy, though.

The genial South Korean rapper had a surprisingly jovial reaction to the fake tweeting, "Seems like there's another ME at Cannes ... say HI to him @scooterbraun lol #PsyinSingapore."

He later uploaded a photo of the phony, who was spotted by manager Scooter Braun, and, well, you could see why some people might have been fooled.

The fake Psy, who wore the rapper's signature round glasses and ill-fitting suit, has been living it up around Cannes for several days as celebrities and journalists hit the town for the annual film festival. According to the Atlantic Wire, the as-yet-unidentified imposter went to parties, posed with celebrities and appeared in a video for French radio station Radio Prestige where he showed the host how to do the "Gangnam Style" dance.

Among those who got duped into posing with the pretender were actress Naomi Harris ("Skyfall"), actor Adrien Brody and Portland Trailblazers player Nicolas Batum. He also reportedly made his way into parties at the Carlton hotel, the VIP Room and Martinez beach, as well as attending a secret bash thrown by millionaire oil baron and fashion designer Goga Ashkenazi at Le Baron, where he grabbed a mike behind the DJ booth at the soiree attended by Karolina Kurkova and Rosario Dawson.

A spokesperson for Psy's management could not be reached for comment on the incident.

The Wire also reported that he was "scamming" ...

Backstreet Boys Warn Fans: Expect Lots Of ‘Testosterone’ On Summer Tour

What do you get when you take the Backstreet Boys, and then toss in Jesse McCartney and DJ Pauly D for good measure? "A lot of testosterone," according to BSB's Howie Dorough.

The boy band recently dished to MTV News about their upcoming summer tour, and told us that while they certainly aren't newbies when it comes to the road, their experience means they feel ready for anything. In 2011 and 2012, they went on massive tours with New Kids on the Block, and those jaunts were something like a traveling pop wolf pack.

"We just finished a tour with nine of us," A.J. McLean said of the NKTOTBSB run, adding that for the new tour, Pauly D being on the lineup ensures there will be "lots of fist pumping going on."

The In a World Like This Tour celebrates the boy band's 20-year anniversary and kicks off August 2 in Chicago. It will cross North America for five weeks before wrapping up September 8 in San Francisco.

"We're excited [because] we actually worked with Jesse before," Nick Carter said of McCartney, who opened for the guys on their Never Gone Tour in 2005. "We had a great time with him and, obviously, the relationship has stood."

"And Pauly D has a great fanbase. Now it'll be Double Ds, between me and him, on the road," Howie D joked.

Did One Direction Do The Backstreet Boys Justice?

Just days before the tour kicks off on July 30, the band will release their album, In a World Like This. (Their ...

‘The Hangover Part III’: The Truth Behind The Grossest Scene

Over the course of three movies, the "

In a cameo appearance, Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy has an intimate moment with Zach Galifianakis' Alan in a Las Vegas pawn shop, and from there, things get real.

"I didn't know Melissa, and we had just met kind of met that day," Galifianakis said when MTV News spoke with him in Las Vegas. "Sometimes you get lucky enough to have clicked with another actor or actress, and we just, I don't know, felt like we had known each other for a long time. That helped."

The connection must have at least helped during the scene, which has Alan taking the lollipop from his mouth and seductively placing it into McCarthy's, in order to get the information he needs about the location of Mr. Chow.

Galifianakis' co-star, Bradley Cooper, agreed that McCarthy brought something special to the set.

"There's something about [McCarthy] and John Goodman especially," he said. "They come on set and bring an energy. It's amazing because there's a set structure and a set energy with the three of us, but Melissa would come on, and as an actress, she's just cool, unflappable energy. She set the tone actually. She really is a very powerful performer."

Fat Joe Blames Tax Problems On ‘Fancy Guys In Bow Ties’

Fat Joe has had his fair share of rap beefs, but he's taking his battle with Uncle Sam very seriously. The veteran rapper is facing jail time on charges that he failed to pay taxes on approximately $3 million in income in 2007 and 2008.

"I can't really explain that 'cause I got a real court case going on, like facing jail time. But I guess after June 24. Hopefully, it goes well," Joe said on Wednesday (May 22) on "RapFix Live."

Back in December, the "Make It Rain" MC pleaded guilty to the charges against him and has been working to pay his debt. "At the end of the day, I'm paying all the money back that's owed — actually I have and I'ma just go like a man, stand up," he said.

The Terror Squad leader is ready to take full responsibility for his financial dilemma, but he does allude that there were other parties who contributed to his tax woes. "You gotta understand we hire guys who are supposed have Harvard degrees to take care of us," he began to explain. "All the time you see artists, the first thing they did to you when you caught money was introduce you to a bunch of fancy guys with bow ties who are gonna take care of your money and all that and then you always see an artist or a celebrity or somebody like that goin' down for it and these guys never go down for it."

Recently Lauryn Hill and Mary J. Blige have faced similar charges ...

‘Man Of Steel’: Is Zod Superman’s Khan?

In the latest trailer for "Man Of Steel," mysterious evildoer General Zod demands that the people of Earth hand over Superman... "or else." But who exactly is Zod, and why should humanity be afraid? Well, because he's Superman's Khan, that's why.

Of course, if you're not a longtime "Star Trek" fan, or you haven't seen "Star Trek Into Darkness" yet, that may not mean much. But Khan Noonien Singh, better known as Khan, is essentially the greatest foe that Captain Kirk ever faced — in the movies, certainly. Conversely, Lex Luthor is probably the villain most often identified with Superman, thanks to not one, but two iconic performances, by Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey, respectively. But Zod, played by Terrence Stamp, was the superhero's true equal, a formidable physical presence who shared all of Superman's powers. But more importantly, he also has a back story that links the characters inextricably.

Although "Star Trek Into Darkness" reinvents the characters' history to suit Abrams' timeline, the original Khan shares a long history with Kirk — first appearing in the "Star Trek: The Original Series" episode "Space Seed," where the Captain revived him only to later banish him to Ceti Alpha Five, where he and his followers struggled for decades to survive. The cumulative resentment of that struggle forged a need for revenge — an abiding hatred of Kirk — that drove him to pursue the Captain, and destroy anyone who got in his way. In "Superman II," Zod was exiled to the "Phantom Zone" by Superman's father, Jor-El, and when Jor-El's son ...

Waka Flocka Associate Frenchie Gets Impatient On Long Overdue Mixtape

Main Pick

Headliner: Frenchie

Representing: Queens, New York

Mixtape: Long Overdue

Real Spit: Sure, hip-hop has its fair share of overnight celebrities, but the majority of rap stars went through a long and strenuous grind before hitting the top. But Bricksquad Monopoly rapper Frenchie wants it now. It's a recurring theme on his latest Long Overdue mixtape, which he released on Tuesday.

"I've been running around in this music for a long time man. It's time now," he told Mixtape Daily.

Frenchie didn't have to wholly start from the bottom, however; being signed to Waka Flocka Flame has its perks, like being able to call the rambunctious hit maker up for a feature or two.

Flocka shows up for the tape's title track, and together the two rap about the luxurious items they feel are long overdue to them. On the murderous "Where They at," French partners with G-Unit spitter Kidd Kidd, and on "Hunnit Thousand," he pays homage to Three 6 Mafia spitting: "My bitches bring me money, ya hoes steal ya stacks/ I learned this trick from Juicy J and Project Pat."

Not all of Long Overdue's material is rooted in the underground, however. On "Addicted to Sex," he partners with J. Lyric, Yung Joc and T-Pain to deliver something for the ladies to prove he can cater to radio as well. "People know who I am, I've been underground and now is the time: Long Overdue."

Joints to check for

‘American Idol’s’ Angie Miller Says She’ll ‘Fight’ To Make An Album Her Way

Wednesday is going to be a weird night for favorite Angie Miller ... mostly because, for the first time in more than three months, she doesn't have anything to do.

"It's different; I'm so used to having a show every week; so it's like 'Woah ... there's not going to be a live show Wednesday?!?'" she laughed. "I don't know what I'll do; I'm going to have to sing somewhere, because I'm going to miss it!"

Yes, after her elimination two weeks ago, and a performance with Adam Lambert on last week's "Idol" finale, Miller finally has some down time (at least until rehearsals for this summer's Idol's Live! Tour begin), and though she recently had a few days back home in Massachusetts — "It was weird, people would come up to me like 'Angie?!?' and I'd just say 'Yeah?'" she said — she hasn't exactly been taking it easy.

Instead, she's been promoting her post-"Idol" single, her show-stealing original and beginning work on her debut album ... which, she said will show off all sides of her personality, no matter how hard the judges wanted her to remain firmly planted at the piano.

"It got frustrating, because I feel like they pegged me as only being good behind the piano," she said. "So I had to prove myself off the piano, and I feel the week I did 'I'll Stand By You' and 'Halo' was the week that I finally did that. It's important to me, because I don't want to play every song behind the ...
