‘Arrow’: All The Biggest Moments On ‘Deathstroke’

"

Slade Takes Queen
Picking up literally seconds after last week's episode, "Deathstroke" sees Thea Queen being kidnapped by Oliver's arch-nemesis, Slade Wilson. Sending a message to the Queen family during one of Moira's debate, the entirety of Starling City is thrown into a panic including Oliver and company. Yet, despite Team Arrow's best efforts, Oliver is put at a huge disadvantage by the end of the episode.

Sins of the Father When Oliver makes Isabel Rochev temporary CEO of Queen Consolidated and accidentally hands over his family's company, it's revealed that Isabel knew Oliver's father, Robert Queen. According to DC comics canon, Isabel is one of Robert's crazed former lovers who believes herself to be the true heir to the Queen business and will stop at nothing to see Oliver destroyed.

Now that we know that Isabel has been working for Slade this whole time, it would appear as though the "Arrow" Isabel and the DC comics Isabel are a lot more similar than initially perceived.

Merlyn's Daughter
Before she's permitted to leave, Slade offers to tell Thea a secret about her brother. While she's still unaware of Oliver's alter ego, Thea does find out that she's actually the daughter of Malcolm Merlyn. How will this play out when the League of Assassins inevitably return to Starling City? What will Malcolm do now that he holds absolutely no leverage over Moira Queen?

Roy Quits
Despite his tireless archery training, Roy gets completely fed up with taking orders from Oliver and decides to leave Starling City. While it was hinted in last week's episode that Roy could ...

Iggy Azalea Isn’t Sweating Backlash Over Biggie’s ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ Sample

Iggy Azalea is getting ready to drop her debut album The New Classic on April 22, but a song that won't appear on the LP is also attracting a bit of attention.

Last month Irv Gotti previewed a new song that samples the Notorious B.I.G's "Mo Money Mo Problems," which finds Iggy rapping over the beat while Keyshia Cole adds her vocals. And, of course, hip-hop fans had a lot of less-than-positive things to say about it.

During a visit to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday (April 2) with T.I. by her side, Iggy explained how it all came together.

"It was just supposed to be a remake of 'I'm Coming Out,' it wasn't supposed to be 'Mo Money Mo Problems,' and I didn't know what I was getting into," she said. "Irv hit me up and said, 'hey I've got a record with Keyshia on it and it's gonna be for the soundtrack to this Cameron Diaz movie 'The Other Woman.'"

Iggy was excited about having the chance to work with Keyshia Cole and Irv Gotti, but she didn't hear the song until she actually got to the studio. And from there, she just went with it.

"I'm from a generation where I don't think 'I'm Coming Out' — I think 'Mo Money Mo Problems,'" Iggy explained. "So I thought, I need to get my Ma$e on, and I went with that vibe. Then I think when people heard it they said, 'She's doing the Biggie remake,' and I don't know if it was necessarily meant to be that. It's open to interpretation."

Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent To Perform At Summer Jam: See The Lineup

For two decades, Hot 97's Summer Jam has brought hip-hop's best talent to one place every summer. This year's lineup proves that they've got no plans to change that formula.

On Wednesday afternoon (April 2), the New York radio station announced this year's bill. The slate offers a welcomed mix of acts from the Big Apple and outside the city; new and old; crew and individual.

The epic show, which goes down at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on June 1, features two stages. On the main stage, known as the SummerJam Stage, NYC titans like 50 Cent and Nas, as well as heavyweights Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Young Money will serve as anchors. In addition, West Coast young guns Kid Ink, Ty Dolla $ign and YG and DJ Mustard will all take the stage, complimented by East Coast upstarts Troy Ave and Action Bronson. Summer Jam vets Wiz Khalifa and Trey Songz return, while the Roots and singer Sevyn Streeter make their first appearances.

In the parking lot outside of the stadium, before the big show kicks off, Hot 97 sets up a more intimate Festival Stage. That will be populated by Childish Gambino, Iggy Azalea, Nipsey Hussle, Chinx, Jhené Aiko, Mack Wilds and August Alsina.

Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.

Fat Trel Opens Up On What ‘Too Much’ Is Really About

Fat Trel might be known mostly for bombastic, fierce records, but the Washington, D.C., native can get personal, too. He did just that on "Too Much," a remix of Drake's song of the same name, which he released last week.

"I got two baby mothers; one of my baby mothers passed away," Trel told MTV News. The song does not appear on his latest mixtape, Gleesh, which dropped Tuesday. "I'm talking to my baby mother, and she just stressing me out for no reason, wanting wild extra money to please her lifestyle. Money that makes no sense for her to have. And [I was] just stressed, like any other person."

As heavy of a subject as it was, the rapper didn't hesitate to let listeners in on this part of his life. "I always kept it real with my fans," he continued. "I was always honest. I don't lie to my fans; I keep it open about anything. My baby mother, she talk a lot of trash about my other baby mother that passed away. They didn't like each other when she was alive. It hurt me, man. I shouldn't care, but when she say, 'That's why she's dead,' it hurt me."

To deal with that hurt, the recent Maybach Music Group signee decided to hop in the booth and let his feelings flow. "I go to the studio and channel my anger the only way I know how, besides hurting somebody," he explained. "I gotta go to the studio and let it out. We went and laid that down, and that's ...

Rock ‘N’ Roll Is Not Dead — Here’s Living Proof

It's that time again. The time in the cycle of trends and ensuing trend pieces in which rock 'n' roll and guitars are declared dead and the masses bemoan the influx of EDM/pop stars/men with banjos that's currently in vogue.

A sampling of quotes: "Who wears the leather pants in music these days?" "Christ, why can't rock 'n' roll just be fun anymore?" "R.I.P. Sorry punx." "The overwhelming thing wrong is that rock and roll is dead."

This epoch of hand-wringing always comes and goes. The above phrases are really nothing new. But, at present, we're on the very precipice of a bunch of really good stuff breaking out so, in light of this, such assertions just seem like blatant fallacies. Poppy rock acts like OneRepublic and Bastille have already broken into the Billboard top 10 -- now we're waiting for the grittier outfits to follow.

Rock 'n' roll is not dead. It's not. And punk -- that's not expired, either.

Neither have been buried beneath a metaphorical granite memorial denoting some kind of historical perishing. Guitars are not extinct. Drums are not something better left to session musicians, pounding away behind a crooning pop star. A crowd-surfer can still bowl over the languid fist-pumper any day. And, no, some celebrity sporting a Misfits T-shirt has put a nail in no one's coffin.

And do you know why? Do you know why there's still an audience for those raw, grab-your-guts-and-choke-you-with-them kind of jams? Because the world hasn't really changed that much since Black Flag threw sneering TV parties or Kurt Cobain crooned about Courtney Love's ...
