As I Lay Dying Singer’s Wife Had No Concerns Before Alleged Murder Plot

As fans
and investigators try to figure out the motive behind the alleged murder-for-hire scheme hatched by As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis, the details of the singer's divorce offer few clues.

Grammy-nominated Lambesis, 32, was arrested on Tuesday in a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Oceanside, California, and charged with three federal counts, including one of solicitation to commit murder and two of conspiracy to commit crime after he reportedly tried to hire an undercover detective he believed was a hit man. The September 2012 divorce documents indicate that Lambesis' split from his estranged wife, Meggan, was amicable, according to the Associated Press.

Meggan Lambesis reportedly did not fear for her life and other than some troubling changes she noted in her estranged husband's demeanor, she did not appear to have any major concerns about their split. In the divorce papers, Meggan Lambesis said the singer had become "obsessed with bodybuilding" before their divorce and was often distracted by talking or texting on his phone when he spent time with their three adopted children.

Lambesis' obsession with working out appeared to have inspired a second official Twitter account, @gymlambesis, on which he frequently commented on his band's activities as well as his changing appearance. Lambesis, who is being held without bail, is scheduled to be arraigned in the case on Thursday.

The couple adopted three children (4,8, 10) from Ethiopia and Lambesis saw them for around 10 hours a week when he was not on tour, according to the court documents. Meggan Lambesis also noted that at one point ...

Lil Wayne And Trick Daddy Are ‘All Love,’ Birdman Says

Things may have been rocky between Lil Wayne and Trick Daddy, but according to Birdman, the situation is better now. The Miami rap veteran took exception to Weezy's words after the "A Milli" MC dissed the Miami Heat basketball team. There have been reports of run-ins and brief altercations, but Birdman says that's all behind them.

"To be honest with you, I saw Trick Monday in [Miami strip club King of Diamonds] and we had a talk and it was all love," the #1 Stunna told "RapFix Live" host Sway Calloway on Wednesday's show, which was shot on location in Miami.

The King of Diamonds, a popular Miami hangout, happens to be the spot where Wayne and Trick reportedly had an altercation in April. It all started after Wayne dissed the Miami Heat and the team's biggest stars, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, during an NBA All-Star Weekend party back in February. Trick did an interview with Miami's 99 JAMZ shortly after, denouncing Wayne's comments and calling for all of Miami's native artists to stick together.

On April 8, various blogs reported that the two rappers had squared off after Trick flicked a cigarette at Wayne. On Monday, the "Take It to Da House" rapper denied the cigarette flick and said he'd be open to having a sit-down to resolve the issue.

"We got a lot of friends out here," Birdman said. "These are people that we met day one, from day one when we hit the town. A lot of Haitian friends, Ross, Khaled, E ...

‘American Idol’ Report Card: Tears And Broadway Cheers For Candice Glover

All you need to know about this season of is that Candice Glover drew mega-raves on Wednesday night
by singing a nearly 60-year-old song from "West Side Story."

And it wasn't standards or Great White Way night. No, that was the producer's pick for her! You know, because the kids these days, they love them some show tunes, right Rihanna? Candice, Angie Miller and Kree Harrison each sang three songs on the show: a producer's pick, a judge's pick and a Jimmy Iovine selection, and while they all once again proved that they're capable, competent singers, one clear theme emerged: Miller is the only half-way relevant artist in the bunch.

Who hit a triple and who grounded out? Here's our "American Idol" report card.

Angie Miller: Iovine handed Angie Elton John's "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word," and Lil Ange stood somewhat frozen in place for a limp take on the rocket man's hit. Then everyone dinged her for not doing the obvious and playing piano. The tune never got out of first gear and Randy made her restraint seem like a compliment.

The piano was missing in action again on judge's pick Pink's "Try," but this time Miller looked like a milli, strutting and pouting across the stage like a real-life (pop) rock star. Nicki Minaj totally read my mind when she compared Angie to Miley Cyrus.

Angie finally took a seat for Emily Sandé's "Maybe," which showed off the full range of her talents, with plenty of opportunities to climb up into her upper range and pour emotion all ...

Psy Thanks Billie Joe Armstrong For Calling Him ‘The Herpes Of Music’

Earlier this week, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong dismissed Psy as "the herpes of music," adding that, much like viral disease, "once you think it's gone, it comes back."

Armstrong was, of course, noting the success of Psy's the follow-up to his massive "Gangnam Style," though, as you can probably tell, he was none too happy that the South-Korean Sensation has escaped one-hit wonder status (and just in case it wasn't obvious, BJA added a couple of hashtags — #flareup and #pleasegoaway — just to get his point across).

And now, Psy has responded to those jabs ... sort of. In a new interview with Fuse, he thanked Armstrong for the words, though it bears mention that he probably didn't understand what they meant.

"What is herpes? Is it like a disease?" Psy asked, before being supplied with the grisly details. "I kind of like it, it's cool. I should say something to him. He's saying I'm like herpes, [I] keep coming back ... I think it's really cool, and I appreciate that. Thank you."

For the record, Psy just thanked Armstrong for comparing him to this, maybe because he's been called worse: Just last month, during a stop in the MTV Newsroom, he described himself as , and summed up his role in the "Gentleman" video as "stupid."

So far there's been no response from Armstrong ... seems he's too busy hanging out with the Rolling Stones, another group that knows a thing or two about repeated cycles of ...

Avril Lavigne Gets ‘Complicated’ In ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’ Video

Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated? Well, Avril Lavigne is throwing up a middle finger to the responsibilities of adult life in her brand-new video for her peppy single

The video follows Lavigne and her bandmates who have been hired to provide tunes and spice a pretty dull senior prom. When MTV News visited the video's set, the singer gave us the background on the why the clip was filmed in high school.

"We're at prom, and the guys look amazing," she said. "I had my own concept for this video. And then last minute, we changed it because the director came up with a concept and the concept was just 'prom.' And that was really it."

She added, "I thought, 'That's an awesome idea,' 'cause we can dress up, the band can be in cool tuxedos. That was way more fun than I anticipated."

Once Avril shows up at the party, things take a turn for the fun and her energy spills off the stage, onto the dancefloor and into classrooms. Avril throws streamers and bounces around — and, at one point, even pays homage to her teen pop punker days.

Mid-video, Lavigne's rocks her signature look, complete with board shorts, white tank top and, yes, that infamous tie. She skates down the hallways and belts out her anthem about the joys of immaturity. But, there is certainly proof that Lavigne isn't a little girl anymore. On display during much of the video is her blinging engagement ring. So, some things do change.

By the end ...

‘American Idol’ Recap: ‘Here Comes Goodbye’

Candice Glover closed out an emotional episode of on Wednesday, stealing the show with a bombastic rendition of the "West Side Story" staple "Somewhere."

"Candice, you didn't win the round with that song; you won the night," mentor Jimmy Iovine said at the close of the show, which found Glover, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller battling for a trip to next week's final. The judges were just as enthusiastic, with Randy Jackson calling Glover's performance "a singing lesson" and Keith Urban declaring, "If you don't want to vote for Candice, call your doctor; you probably don't have a pulse."

Wednesday's episode showed highlights of the three finalists' visits to their hometowns, which were predictably moving and rife with tearjerker moments. The three finalists were also asked to sing three songs apiece: One chosen by Iovine, one from the judges and one from the show's producers.

Glover's "Somewhere" followed her earlier performances of Emeli Sande's "Next to Me" (the judges' pick) and U2's "One" (Iovine's pick). Glover admitted she had never heard "One" before she was asked to sing it, but she was praised for her emotional connection to the song and its lyrics. And "Next to Me" showed viewers "how you can be in the modern world on the charts today," Jackson said. Added Mariah Carey, "I can't see anything but very, very good things happening for you in your future."

Angie Miller garnered some of her best reviews of the season for her three songs, Elton John's "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" (Iovine's pick), Pink's "Try" (judge's pick) and ...
