As I Lay Dying ‘Draw Strength’ From Fans After Tim Lambesis Arrest

As I Lay Dying fans were shocked Tuesday to learn of singer Tim Lambesis' arrest and desperately awaited word from the metal band about the alleged murder-for-hire plot.

Lambesis' bandmates — Jordan Mancino, Nick Hipa, Phil Sgrosso and Josh Gilbert — broke their silence late Wednesday (May 8), posting a statement to the AILD website addressed to "our fans."

"As we post this, the legal process is taking its course and we have no more information than you do," the statement reads. "There are many unanswered questions, and the situation will become clearer in the coming days and weeks. We'll keep you informed as best we can. Our thoughts right now are with Tim, his family, and with everyone else affected by this terrible situation — and with our fans, whom we love and draw strength from. Thank you for understanding, and as always, for your support of As I Lay Dying."

Lambesis was arrested in Oceanside, California, on Tuesday after allegedly soliciting an undercover detective to kill his estranged wife. The San Diego Sherriff's Department issued a statement explaining that they learned late last week that the singer intended to hire someone to help him murder Meggan Lambesis, who filed for dissolution of marriage in September of last year.

"Our detectives, our fugitive task force and the sheriff's special investigations division immediately initiated an investigation into this allegation," the statement read. "We worked around the clock through the weekend and that culminated [Tuesday] afternoon when Lambesis solicited an undercover detective to kill his wife."

Lambesis was charged with ...

‘The Voice’ Top 12 Revealed!

After weeks of grueling blind auditions, battles, knockouts and playoffs, "The Voice" revealed its top 12 contestants Wednesday night (May 8).

While the audience vote determined two of the finalists moving on, celebrity coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher had to choose one of their bottom two to go home. The process was marred a bit when host Carson Daly revealed at the top of the show that a technical error deemed all text and online votes to be invalid, assuring viewers the phone-only votes did not affect the outcome of the teams.

It wasn't all heavy, though, with the energetic return of former coach Cee Lo Green performing new single "Only You" with his former team member and "Voice" alum Juliet Sims. Green, who has two albums due — including one with Goodie Mob — flashed his famous smile from atop a leather chair, rocking out with an ever-confident and mature Sims.

Rod Stewart also joined the fun, performing his new single "Finest Woman" and jamming out with some of the current contestants.

When the time came to make the tough decisions, the coaches grappled with their choices. "I respect you as men and as artists," Shelton told his bottom two, comprised of the Swon Brothers and Justin Rivers, eventually releasing Rivers. A visibly torn Shakira let go of Karina Iglesias; Usher sent home Cathia; and a rambling Levine finally revealed he wasn't going to save Caroline Glaser.

Live shows begin next week, with no saves or steals or last-minute rule changes ...

Mariah Carey Drops Fellow ‘Idol’ Judge Randy Jackson As Manager

Randy Jackson, the judge who helped Mariah Carey join his ranks on — at a record-setting sum, no less — is no longer the iconic singer's manager.

Jackson, who first met Carey in the 1990s as an A&R man for Columbia Records, helped broker her deal to join "Idol" for $18 million, but after a tumultuous season marred by disagreements, feuds and rumors, he may be saying goodbye to his fellow judge as well as his former client, Showbiz411 reported Wednesday (May 8).

Carey released new single "#Beautiful" earlier this week and signed a contract with Red Light Management, which represents such acts as Radiohead, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Alicia Keys and more. Showbiz411 reported that "hectic" schedules were the cause of her departure from Jackson, who has managed her since 2011.

On air, Jackson and Carey haven't appeared to have friction. Rather, Carey has endured a fractious relationship with fellow judge Nicki Minaj, with whom she squared off on more than one occasion and who went on a Twitter tirade, calling Carey "bitter" and "insecure." And in fact, Jackson has collaborated with Carey during almost as many career lows as highs. He produced two of the songs on the soundtrack of her notorious bid for movie stardom, 2001's "Glitter."

Whether Jackson is helping her with future endeavors, Carey appears to have her hands full. "#Beautiful," which features Miguel, is the first single from a new album, her 14th. She also has a role in Lee Daniels' upcoming film "The Butler," which marks her second collaboration with the ...

Chrissy Teigen Gets Models Dirty On New Reality Series

We all know Drake's "Started from the Bottom" tells the back story of the Young Money rapper's life. But who'd have thought Drizzy's musical biography could serve as the premise for VH1's new TV series as well?

In the reality competition "Model Employee," eight pampered models battle it out for the chance to become the face of The Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. Unlike other modeling shows such as "America's Next Top Model" or "The Face," "Model Employee" has a twist.

In order to represent the brand, their potential employer wants the contestants to understand the company inside and out. And to do so, the ladies are tested each week by having to perform an entry-level job which is mandatory for the Mandalay Bay to function from day-to-day.

"I think they kind of come out there thinking that they are going to be doing modeling challenges," the show's supermodel host Chrissy Teigen told MTV News regarding the contestants. "But no, we put them to the test, like they are doing all the dirty jobs. And it hilarious because they're not used to it, they're models."

From cleaning the Shark Reef Aquarium — "That one ends up being totally about periods," Teigen laughed — to sifting through the garbage for recyclables — "There's condoms mixed with hamburgers; it's so freaking gross" — the ladies aren't only shocked, but they're unprepared for the tasks.

"The first [episode] is really great because you actually see fear in their eyes," Teigen explains. "[They] have to clean a banquet room, [which] seems so minor, right? But these girls ...
