Demi Lovato Fans Unlock ‘Perfection’ Of New Album A Week Early

Lovatics couldn't seem to wait to hear new music, so on Monday, they unlocked the entirety of Demi Lovato's self-titled May 14 album for themselves.

The singer kicked it all off with the tweet, "Who wants to hear my album RIGHT NOW???," directing fans to a special website where the locked songs were waiting to be uncovered. Once the Lovatics made the song title a Twitter trend, the song was made available for streaming. It only took about three hours for fans to get a hold on all 13 songs on Demi.

Demi is a blend of power ballads, feel-good dance tracks and upbeat anthems. And while Lovato mostly goes at it on her own, she invites one-time "X Factor" U.K. contestant Cher Lloyd along for some fun on "Really Don't Care." The release certainly recalls the emotional and musical ups and downs of her 2011 release, Unbroken.

After the trending hoopla died down, Demi thanked her fans for playing along, writing, "So many incredible fans... Thank you SO much... I'm so thankful for each and every one of you. I love you all!!"

Her fans were equally grateful for getting an early listen to the music. And judging by their enthusiastic responses and Twitter reviews, they will keep listening right through release day next week.

"Demi Lovato is my secret vice and her new CD is on lock," @AyeBeav tweeted, with another fan, @annaeshaw adding, "I'm officially in love with Demi Lovato's new album."

"@ddlovato seriously words can't even describe my feelings," ‏@llovaticfamily tweeted. "#DEMI is pure perfection! ...

Selena Gomez Brings ‘Come & Get It’ Video To MTV Tonight!

If you aren't sure what the title of Selena Gomez's new single is all about, you're not alone. It's a phrase TV parents shout to indicate that dinner is on the table, so some fans might find the meaning a tad confusing.

But not to worry, because when Gomez premieres her music video for the track during tonight (May 7) at 7:53 p.m. on MTV, followed by a sit-down interview on MTV.com, we promise that food will be the last thing on your mind. In the sexy new vid, Selena sheds her good-girl image (and quite a bit of clothing), revealing a more sensual side we haven't seen in the star's music previously.

While it's a different look for Selena, the transformation is nothing new in the world of pop. Taylor Swift recently showed an edgier side on her latest album Red, and she sent her seal of approval for Gomez's new music in a video message, in which she's getting down to one of her pal's tracks.

"She's so great! She sent me a video and she's, like, dancing. She's like the cutest dancer, because she has this little ponytail and her little bangs, and she's like just the cutest thing in the world," Gomez told MTV News during the sit-down. "She's the best. She's supported me from my first record to this one, and she's heard all of my stuff, so she's really sweet."

And even though Selena's current focus is on her own project, she's no stranger to Disney bestie Demi Lovato's musical growth. ...

Nick Cannon Says ‘American Idol’ Producers Stoking Nicki And Mariah Feud

Aside from the occasional sharp word or look, there has been little to no drama on this season. With falling ratings
and a lackluster group of finalists, just about the only reason for some viewers to tune in every week is to see how battling judges Nicki Minaj/Mariah Carey will keep their simmering hostility
in check.

But, according to Carey's husband, "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon, even that is made-for-TV artifice. "It's kind of unfortunate," Cannon said on Monday when he visited "The Talk" to promote various projects.

"I ain't got time for that ... When you see someone like my wife, who tries to remain classy and tries to take the high road, it feels like everybody else around it — including the network and the producers — feed into this whole sound bite drama. It feels like it lacks substance."

Cannon said he thinks "Idol" viewers have gotten sick of the fighting, because they tune in for the contestants, the singing and discovering new talent. "You can't even blame Nicki Minaj or her team. I feel like they fed into that. They wanted to see the drama," he said. "I think America in general is tired of seeing the mean judges and people be mean to people. They're over it ... In the book of Mariah Carey, 'American Idol' will be a footnote."

And while "Idol" producers have been mum on which judges might return next year, when Cannon stopped by Los Angeles' KTLA on Monday he made it sound like ...

98 Degrees Are ‘Still 98 Degrees’ On New Album 2.0

It's the day 98 Degrees fans have been waiting for: The band's first new album in more than a decade, 2.0, hit stores Tuesday (May 7). The foursome told MTV News that the album title is fitting as they launch this new phase of their career.

"It's sort of the next version of 98 Degrees," Justin Jeffre said about their first release since 2000's Revelation. "We're still 98 Degrees, but we've stretched as artists and we tried to go beyond. What we didn't want to do was just do what we've already done before. We wanted to go beyond that."

Jeff Timmons added that, despite their updated sound, the guys haven't changed much since their 1.0 days. "We're the same guys. We're entertainers, singers, trying to evolve musically. Same guys, just a different era and, you know, trying to come up with new, cool stuff," he said.

Some of that new, cool stuff includes their unexpectedly cheeky single as well as working with a new pack of hitmakers like Ne-Yo and Bruno Mars to add some new-millennium sparkle to their signature sound. And it's not just their sound they're updating, but also what they're singing about, since most of the guys are married with kids these days. 98 Degrees are all grown up.

"Over the past 13 years since we've recorded a record, a lot [has] happened to us individually," Drew Lachey said. "We've grown a lot as individuals, and that all helps influence the music and how we interact with each other as a group and how we ...

Olly Murs Kicked My Butt At Boot Camp: Watch Now!

NEW YORK — Having to acknowledge your own weaknesses — in this particular case, a very literal, physical one — isn't exactly how a girl hopes to end a First Date. So imagine my embarrassment when a boot-camp course turned out to be more ... challenging than expected. Luckily, my companion was Olly Murs, an incredibly gentlemanly partner who quickly accepted my shortcomings.

Murs and I decided on Warrior Fitness Boot Camp in midtown Manhattan, set up with basic-training staples like monkey bars, a rope-climb and hurdles — as a nod to the title of his infectious latest single, "Army of Two." The pop/funk-inspired track, from the U.K. singer's brand-new album, Right Place Right Time, is about the companionship he feels with each of his fans.

But shortly after arriving at the studio, Murs glanced at me and joked that he and I would be more of "an army of one and a half." (Full disclosure: I'm not what some would describe as tall and a co-worker once referred to my biceps as "veal.") Still, as an MTV News producer who regularly hauls heavy camera equipment, a rope climb seemed like no big deal. It soon became increasingly evident, however, that I was not army strong: My arms buckled when I attempted the parallel bars and I had a brush with death on the balance beam, among other mishaps.

Mr. Murs on the other hand, most certainly was built for this course (you've got to watch the embedded video!). Between effortlessly jumping hurdles, climbing over walls and having a medicine ball ...

Rihanna Brings ‘777,’ ’90s Flashbacks And Dancehall To Brooklyn

When you've recorded seven albums in seven years before your 25th birthday, and racked up a record 10 #1 songs in that span, the question of a set list can be a real problem when it comes time to tour. But Rihanna managed to electrify during the Brooklyn stop of her Unapologetic run on Sunday night, dipping generously into the 2012 release with graceful pivots to her older hits.

And never mind that she took the stage nearly an hour late, right? In a comic twist, concert organizers screened part of her , which documents her promotional, seven-city, seven-day concert gig and debuts tonight (May 6) on Fox at 8 p.m. Barclays Center fans got a preview of the doc, including angry sound bites from journalists (MTV News and MTV Style were there!) who flew around the globe with the star wailing about Rihanna's consistent ... lateness, among other mishaps. Needless to say, we were prepared, but also very much rewarded for our patience. Read on for a few highlights.

The Rihanna Navy Reports For Duty.
From Little Monsters to Swifties to the shade-and-you-might-get-stung BeyHive, a true pop diva is nothing without her loyal fan army. But while others may lay claim to a larger or more mobilized base, it's hard to box with Rih's camp when it comes to style. Yes, the Rihanna Navy apparently takes "Phresh out the Runway" literally, as scores of girls (and boys!) turned up on Atlantic Avenue in their beauty-blog best, from their black beanie-topped heads to their cage-strapped feet.

"Fi, Fo, Fum Like The Sky ...

Lauryn Hill Sentenced To Three Months In Prison

Lauryn Hill was sentenced to three months in prison on Monday (May 6), after pleading guilty to tax evasion charges.

Hill, who admitted last year that she "intentionally and willingly" ignored her responsibility to file yearly tax returns on more than $1.5 million of income between 2005 and 2007, was also sentenced to an additional three months of home confinement, according to The Associated Press.

It's not clear when Hill will report to prison, or where she'll serve her sentence, though she was facing a maximum penalty of three years behind bars — one for each year she failed to pay taxes. She was also accused by in native New Jersey of failing to pay more than $446,000 in state taxes, though her attorney confirmed to the AP that Hill had already paid more than $970,000 to satisfy her federal and state tax liabilities.

During a statement to the judge that the AP described as "forceful," Hill said she had always meant to eventually pay the taxes, but was unable to do so because she took a lengthy hiatus from the music industry. She had recently inked a reported $1 million deal with Sony, and on Saturday, she released her first piece of new music in nearly three years ... though, she made it very clear that she was doing so only because her hand was forced.

"Here is a link to a piece that I was 'required' to release immediately, by virtue of the impending legal deadline," Hill wrote in a letter ...
