Sage The Gemini And Iamsu! Had Fun On ‘Letterman’… Even If The Crowd Didn’t

Sage the Gemini and Iamsu! didn't feel like they got a ton of love when they performed on Wednesday's episode of "Late Show With David Letterman," but that certainly didn't stop the Bay Area MCs from enjoying their appearance.

"That was so crazy," Sage told Sway during Wednesday's episode of "It was tight, because we switched up the beat a little bit, using the band, and then we put an R&B feel into it. But when you look out to the crowd, no offense, it was just a whole bunch of white people like..."

"Stale-faced," Su chimed in, explaining the expressions of the attendees — which Sage was simultaneously mimicking while on the couch. "Stupid cold."

If their constant laughter when retelling the story was any indication, though, the HBK Gang members didn't let the crowd's response — or lack thereof — get to them. Sage even poked fun at his frequent collaborator's inability to get the crowd hyped up. "He said, 'Put yo' hands up!'" the Republic Records signed rapper said.

"And they was like, 'Nah, I think I'll pass,'" Su finished.

The two Cali kids made the most of their moment on a late night TV staple, though. "But it was tight though, 'cause you could tell it was a real audience 'cause as soon as I was like, 'How y'all doing out there tonight?' They said, 'Ahhhh,'" Sage continued.

"They probably cut the 'Applause' sign on," Iamsu! quipped with a laugh.

Sage the Gemini's debut album, Remember Me, was released Tuesday.

MTV’s Musical March Madness: 5 Seconds Of Summer, Bleachers Are On The Brink

MTV's Musical March Madness tournament is heading into the homestretch of round two — polls close Monday, March 31 at noon ET — and with the Sweet 16 looming on the horizon, there are plenty of bands that are just barely hanging on.

Vote Now In All #MMM Second-Round Matchups!

Of course, there's still time to change all that; if your favorite band is behind, hit the polls (or, if they're in the lead, vote like crazy to keep them there!) And as we prepare to cut the remaining field of 32 in half, let's take a look at the matchups in each #MMM region, beginning today with the Midwest and the West, where there's still plenty left to be decided.

Midwest Region

Top-seeded Fall Out Boy seem like a lock for the Sweet 16 at this point, as they lead Jack Antonoff's Bleachers by a huge amount — no wonder he's in therapy. The same is true for #4 Blink-182, who have shown why they're a perennial #MMM powerhouse in round two, handling #5 the Fray with ease. It certainly seems like it'll be FOB v. Blink in the round of 16 ... though, again, we won't know for sure until Monday.

Things are quite different in the Midwest's other matchups though, as #3 Walk The Moon and #6 the Killers are locked in a tight — like, a statistical dead-heat — battle. And #10 5 Seconds Of Summer are getting all they can handle from #15 Amy Lee, with the Evanescence frontwoman ...

Liam Neeson Thought ‘Taken’ Would Go Straight To Video And 6 Other Revelations

We all know that Liam Neeson has a very particular set of skills, but did we know that he used to frequent sparsely-attended funerals with his grandfather as a kid in Northern Ireland? Now we do.

In a lengthy Q&A for the April issue of GQ, Neeson goes deep about his mom, his late wife Natasha Richardson, why he took "Taken" and, yes, going to funerals. As he said, those early sojourns with his grandfather taught him that "everybody matters. Everybody."

Not that it's all heavy stuff: Neeson admits that his initial impression of 2008's hit movie, "Taken," was that "it would go straight to video" and that he was "stunned" by its success. Ahead, six more things we learned from Neeson's chat with the magazine.

He Doesn't Believe In Abs

Neeson said that at the age of 61, he's not going for a Lautner-esque physique while preparing for movies.

"I train a lot," he said. "I don't try and do all this washboard-abs stuff. That's not real. I take bits and bobs from everywhere to train. Kettlebells. Power walks. Heavy bag. It's about stamina."

He Got Marital Advice From Mia Farrow

After shooting Woody Allen's "Husbands and Wives," the film during which "that all started" — the scandal between Allen and then-wife Mia Farrow that continues on to this day — Neeson and his wife became friends with Farrow, who doled out her wisdom on marriage.

"Mia was doing a film with Natasha in Ireland," he said. "She's lovely. We had a couple of Guinnesses one night, and I ...

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Trailer: Watch Now

Keep a tight grip on your pizza orders, ladies and gentlemen — the heroes in a half-shell are back, and they're hungrier than ever.

The first official teaser trailer for has arrived online, giving fans their first look at what producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman have done with their interpretation of the "TMNT" mythos. No Vanilla Ice in sight this time, but hey, it's early days yet.

The new "Ninja Turtles" movie takes place in New York City, ravaged by crime and commanded by the iron-fisted rule of the sinister Shredder and his equally evil Foot Clan. Shredder's influence extends to the police and politicians of the town, creating what appears to be an unstoppable network of terror. "Appears" being the key word here, because Shredder and his soldiers haven't accounted for four heroes — giant, mutated, pizza-eating, hard-partying heroes, sure, but heroes all the same.

Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines, Raphael is cool (but rude) and Michelangelo is a party dude — at least, that's what we were led to believe once upon a time. It seems like many of those traits remain intact with the new vision of "Ninja Turtles," but we'll need a longer trailer focused on the individual Turtles to see how much the full film honors those classic characteristics.

At least one aspect from earlier "TMNT" incarnations has carried over to the new film: April O'Neil. The fearless reporter is played in Liebesman's "Ninja Turtles" by Michael Bay veteran Megan Fox. As a bonus, she's joined by "Arrested Development" alum Will Arnett as quippy ...

Exclusive: Don Johnson Returns to ‘From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series’

If you were missing Don Johnson's character Earl McGraw in "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," then good news: This week's episode, "Let's Get Ramblin,' " has got an extra helping of the tough-as-nails Texas lawman.

Adding to the surprising return: Johnson's character was believed to be dead at the end of the series premiere. So how, exactly, does McGraw return?

Though we won't give too much away, Johnson is back for at least part of the episode via flashbacks to help his partner, Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez (Jesse Garcia) follow the trail of the murderous Gecko brothers Seth and Richie (D.J. Cotrona, Zane Holtz). The episode is directed by series creator Robert Rodriguez.

With the Geckos planning out their next move in the hopes of getting across the border — and out of the reach of one ticked-off lawman — Freddie's having flashbacks to a deadly shootout where Ranger McGraw gets to show why bad guys should be scared of Johnson's character.

It's here where we also learn about Freddie's fear of blood, which might pose a big problem when the series gets around to its strip club full of vampires.

It's all part of a set of mysterious visions that both Freddie and the dangerously unbalanced Richie are suffering from, leading the lawman and the criminals on a collision course with one another at a seedy motel. There, the poor Fuller family will find themselves forced to help a pair of desperate criminals across the border.

Lena Dunham Sends Bleachers To Therapy In ‘I Wanna Get Better’ Video

Jack Antonoff is not a licensed therapist. He just plays one in his new video.

In the debut clip from his Fun. side-project, Bleachers, Antonoff takes the chorus of quite literally, channeling every nebbish-y, ineffective therapist in NYC (because they only exist in NYC) and sitting in stoic silence while a bevy of his patients — including "Parks and Recreation" standout, Retta — pour through their various insecurities.

Of course, it turns out that it's Antonoff's character that's worse off than anyone; his live-in GF just left him, he's seemingly trapped by his own mind and he just dumped a gallon of coffee on his crotch ... yet he's the one tasked with fixing other people's lives.

That irony is played to maximum effect in the video, thanks in no small part to Antonoff's acting ability — much like his recent "Funny or Die" skit, he does uptight-with-a-touch-of-pessimism pretty well — the wonderful cast of characters who spend time on his couch, and the direction of his girlfriend, "Girls" creator Lena Dunham, who creates an erudite, perfectly-postured world that nearly buckles beneath the psychological turmoil.

It's all played for laughs, naturally — the grand resolution comes when Antonoff literally lets go and just starts rocking out — though there's also a subtle hint of sadness to the proceedings, one where screwed-up souls and broken couples struggle to find happiness, despite mounting evidence to the contrary. And like Antonoff's manic (sorta depressive) lyrics, "I Wanna Get Better" seems to suggest that struggle may be an impossible one ...
