Yo Gotti Appreciates 50 Cent’s Advice On Music And Business

One of the recent tracks 50 Cent shared from his Animal Ambition album includes a feature from Yo Gotti, and during his visit to on Wednesday, the Memphis rapper explained that his relationship with Fif extends beyond "Don't Worry 'Bout It."

Gotti said that 50 reached out about working together on his last trip to New York, but they met years ago.

"The first time I talked to 50 I met him thru Chris Lighty," he said. "Chris was my first real manager I ever had, so he took me to a 50 movie premiere, I bumped into 50, I chopped it up with him [and told him] I'm one of the biggest 50 fans too."

"I studied him," Gotti added. "Business-wise, I think he's one of the smartest business people in the rap game, as far as an artist. I [talked to him] on the phone two or three times, and he would just give me game about the game in general."

"To me, that was big. If I had never done nothing with him, just the fact that he reached out to me and was giving me game because he [saw] what I was doing."

And as far as recording, "Don't Worry 'Bout It," nobody broke a sweat. "That was nothing, we knocked that out easy."

Yo Gotti dropped his most recent album I Am in November, and 50 Cent's Animal Ambition LP is expected to arrive on June 3.

Christopher Nolan Reluctantly Opens Up About ‘Interstellar’

CinemaCon, a convention where studios and filmmakers show off upcoming features to theaters owners, is going on right now, and a lot of info about highly anticipated movies, like "50 Shades of Grey," has made it onto the web.

The "Christopher Nolan's M.O., but the secretive director did open up more than ever before about his outer-space epic.

In a conversation with Todd McCarthy, the film critic for The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan discussed very broadly who he hopes to reach with "Interstellar" (everyone) and what he thinks about the McConaissance (he totally called).

One of the more exciting things about what Nolan said is that he wants to achieve with "Interstellar" is to return the "family film" to its former glory, when movies like "Star Wars" could have a wide appeal without being backed into a corner with "kid stuff."

"I grew up in an era that was a golden age of the blockbuster, when something we might call a family film could have universal appeal. That's something I want to see again," he said. "In terms of the tone of the film, it looks at where we are as a people and has a universality about human experience."

That last quote might literally be the most vaguely describe theme ever. Bravo, sir.

On the Matthew McConaughey front, Nolan said that it was the actor's seriously underrated turn "Mud" that convinced the director that he could pull off the lead in "Interstellar."

"['Mud'] showed me a side of Matthew's capabilities that I never knew was there. It was a transformative performance. From when ...

‘American Idol’ Recap: Caleb Johnson Is The Frontman To Beat

On Wednesday's the theme was "I'm With the Band," and the top nine contestants performed songs with Rickey Minor and the "Idol" band ... just like they do every other week. Only this time, the band was onstage with them, so it was different? Sort of?

While it wasn't exactly the night's theme, the evening's best performers treated it like Rock and Roll night, turning up and letting loose with the band. That's what Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene did, and they closed out the evening on a head-banging high.

Here's how the night went down:

Caleb, Jena On Top
On a night that was tailor-made for him, Caleb Johnson stole the show by taking on the night's biggest song, Led Zeppelin's "Dazed and Confused," and giving it the sort of outsize, over-the-top presentation it needed. Johnson ripped the stage, and cameras cut to copious Jennifer Lopez reaction shots like they were cut-ins of Taylor Swift at an awards show. J. Lo wound up calling the performance "sexy," while Harry Connick Jr. remarked, "It's tough to follow that."

Jena Irene was the one tasked with following the performance, and she too delivered, continuing her winning streak with an energetic rendition of Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life." Despite her assertion that she was "crappin' pants" backstage having to follow Johnson, she lived up to the task and gave one of the night's most confident and radiant performances. Irene's past three songs have been by Paramore, Zedd featuring Foxes and Evanescence, which gives her perhaps the best range of any of the finalists.

‘Walking Dead’ Star Promises ‘Great’ Terminus Reveal

Only one episode remains in the fourth season of Throughout the back half of the season, everyone from Rick Grimes to Daryl Dixon has been scattered to the nine winds, walking down their own paths of destiny. But all roads lead to one place: Terminus.

"All who arrive, survive," they say. But is that actually the case? Compelling theories suggest that Terminus is not a safe haven as advertised, but a trap set up to do horrible, unthinkable things to visitors — visitors like Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, Bob, Abraham, Rosita and Eugene, all of whom ended last week's episode, "Us," in the belly of the beast known as Terminus.

Of course, it's entirely possible that Terminus is the hopeful place these survivors need it to be. Speaking with MTV News about the true nature of Terminus, actor Josh McDermitt, the man who rocks the mullet as scientist Eugene, promised that viewers are just days away from some great answers.

"I think people are going to be really happy with how it turns out," he teased. "This group just lost the prison. They're on railroad tracks, they're in the woods, they're on the road. They're just trying to find each other. Hopefully, Terminus becomes this thing where everyone can regroup and rebuild their lives. We know Rick and Michonne and Carl are on their way there. Are we going to meet them there? What's going to happen? I don't know."

McDermitt is one of the newer members of the "Walking Dead" cast. As Eugene, he's also one of the show's most ...

Ellie Goulding Channels Tris In ‘Beating Heart’ Video: Watch Now

What's the best way to sum up the smoldering relationship between Tris and Four in "Divergent?" How about getting lost in the woods with a dark-haired handsome man while wearing a skimpy black dress and singing about your rapidly

It totally works for Ellie Goulding, who goes all literal in the clip for her soundtrack single, in which she channels Tris while being pursued by said hottie.

With the song's haunting keyboard open bubbling in the background, the video opens with Goulding sipping a cup of mysterious blue liquid. It transports her to, no, not the "departure lounge of disbelief," but to the forest, where she walks carefully (wearing only a silky black slip) as clips from the film intercut with scenes of Goulding exploring the alien territory.

And, like Tris, she has the telltale bird tats on her shoulder, as well as a partial Four back piece to match. But, just before her dream ends the mysterious man grabs her and ... well, we'll never know.

Exclusive ‘Star Wars: Assault Team’ Trailer: Watch Now

Are you ready for a brand new take on "Star Wars?" Because today, Disney Interactive and LucasArts launch a mobile game that allows you to take on the roles of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker and more as part of "Star Wars: Assault Team."

You can watch the exclusive story trailer right here, right now. But in advance of the game's release on iOS, Android, and Windows Devices, MTV News talked to Chris Aylott, lead designer for the game, and Studio Director Janus Anderson about how the game came to be.

"Chris and I have a long history of making clickable card games," Anderson said over the phone. "We heard we got 'Star Wars' at Disney, and when it came available for us to make a game around, that was the very first thing I started pitching."

The game itself is set in the time period between "A New Hope" and "Empire Strikes Back." Meaning Luke has blown up the Death Star, but we're not on the ice planet Hoth just yet.

Part of the reason for this setting was the limitations of not being able to continue the story post-"Return of the Jedi" for obvious, "Episode VII" related reasons. But it was also a favorite time period for the team at Disney.

"While we're fans of the whole universe," Aylott noted, "it was that first trilogy that hit us between the eyes and turned us into fans in the first place."

When it came time to choose a specific time period for the all original game story, the designers realized the area between ...

‘Arrow’: Everything You Missed On ‘Birds of Prey’

On "

This week's episode, entitled "Birds of Prey," finally gives us the closure we've been waiting for since last year as the Huntress pays Starling City a visit in search of her dastardly father, Frank Bertinelli.

Here are all the biggest moments from this week's "Arrow":

Huntress Restrains Herself
In a brief moment early into the episode, it's revealed that Helena has been using more restraint than usual. Meaning, she's not killing everybody, just mostly everybody.

If the Huntress is trying to murder less people, could she be on a path towards teaming up with Team Arrow? At this point it doesn't seem very likely, but then again Oliver Queen used to be cold-blooded killer as well. Maybe now that her father is dead, Helena will start to let the light back in.

Speedy
When Roy loses control of his super strength in the field and almost kills Helena's decoy, Oliver calls him Speedy to remind him of Thea (that used to be her nickname, too).

While Roy has yet to receive his official vigilante nickname, it seems like Speedy could potentially stick. Clearly, Roy isn't happy with it now but perhaps he'll choose to keep it as a means of paying tribute to his lost love.

Laurel's Dark Side
The final moments of "Birds of Prey" show Laurel blackmailing her way into getting her old job back at the District Attorney's office. Could this be the end of Laurel's damsel in distress phase? A while ago it was mentioned that Sarah Lance is only the beginning of the Black Canary story. That being said, what are the ...
