Can Nicki Minaj Get Any Better As A Rapper? Lil Wayne Thinks So

Nicki Minaj has millions of fans across the world, but perhaps none bigger than her Young Money mentor Lil Wayne. Weezy is currently in awe of Nicki's new single but he still pushes her for more.

"That's what Nicki does — she never fails to amaze me with anything she do," Tunechi said of YM's first lady. "Honestly, I'm a tough judge and I'm the boss, so I kinda be like, 'That's nice, but you can do better.' "

"Lookin' Ass" is a current single from YM's new Rise of an Empire compilation. On it, Nicki wages a war of words in rap's battle of the sexes. Nicki flows a similar rhyme pattern throughout, stacking multisyllabic bars and ending each bar with the controversial N-word. She blasts men for staring at her butt, lying about their finances and exaggerating about their drug-dealing pasts.

It's been a while since women had a real rap anthem to champion, and Weezy loves the reaction the song is getting in the clubs. "It's either that song that's making 'em feel good like that or that new Beyoncé," he said of Bey's "Drunk in Love" single.

Weezy has no shortage of praise for Nicki, but says he will continue to push her as she works on her third solo LP, due out later this year. As great as she is, he just thinks she can do better. "But that's what I tell myself every day, too," Wayne added.

Lady Gaga Defends Puke-Filled Performance

If you get puked on by a half-naked woman during a concert while riding a mechanical pig with an apple in its mouth, chances are people are going to notice.

And If you're Lady Gaga and it all goes down during a hyped gig at the SXSW Festival in Texas, people are definitely going to notice. And that's kind of the point, isn't it?

Now back to the puke part. Mother Monster got some flack from, among others, Demi Lovato, for inviting a performance artist on stage in Austin to regurgitate green and black liquid on her earlier this month. During an appearance on "The Today Show" on Friday (March 21) to preview her
, Gaga said she fully expected, and welcomed, the backlash.

It wasn't surprising to her that the recent vomit-art performance at SXSW made headlines and drew some complaints. "Millie and I know that not everybody is going to love that performance," she said of the messy collaboration with performance artist Millie Brown
. "But we both really believe in artistic expression and strong identities. I support her in what she does and ARTPOP, my new album, is about bringing art and music together in the spirit of creative rebellion."

For Gaga and Brown, that performance embodied art in its purest form. "We totally understand that some people won't be into it," Gaga said. "Did we want the controversy? I suppose it doesn't matter. We don't make things for any intention in particular other than in the spirit of entertaining the crowd and creating something that is really ...

‘Nymphomaniac’: How The Cast Had Sex Without Really Having Sex

"orgasmic posters, an unusual discount for infants and — probably most notably — its use of digitally added porn doubles for the sex scenes.

The unusual concept was a way to avoid filming the A-list cast featuring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Shia LaBeouf and Uma actually having sex while keeping the hardcore images that von Trier wanted for his deep dive into sexuality.

On set, the whole process was anything but sexy, according to Stacy Martin, the 23 year-old actress who plays the younger version of the main character Joe. When I spoke with her at the press day for "Nymphomaniac" she walked me through what filming a sex scene was like before it was altered.

While most the composite footage won't make it into US theaters, the uncut version of the sex scenes only featured the midsection of the actors' porn double. Everything above or below actually belonged to Martin or LaBeouf, for example.

You'd think that removing all spontaneity from a sex scene would kill any believable chemistry, but for "Nymphomaniac" every move had to be carefully predetermined.

"Basically, we would do the scenes," Martin said. "What happens is that we have to agree on a position because of the CGI. Everything has to be set, so we would do the scene with Shia or whoever it was, and we would get little black dots on our bodies," Martin said. "It was very unerotic, very technical and it gets quite boring because then they have to do exactly the same with the porn doubles. But they're having real sex, and they put the ...

‘First Kiss’ Viral Video Singer Soko Can Pay Her Rent Now

"I seriously still haven't realized what's going on," Soko told MTV News, flummoxed that her single became a hit after it — and she — appeared in that viral "First Kiss" video.

"My girlfriend is almost more enthusiastic than I am — I was like 'WTF is this thing I'm charting on? Ze Billboard?' She freaked out, laughed so hard at me and said, 'It's not THE Billboard, just Billboard Hot 100.. you don't know what Billboard is?'" she said.

Even though Soko doesn't wholly understand what Billboard is, the singer's track "We Might Be Dead Tomorrow" is nevertheless climbing its charts; it's currently at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Billboard's Streaming Songs chart.

Given that Billboard started factoring YouTube streams into charts last year and "First Kiss" has been viewed close to 70 million times on the video-sharing service, Soko's inclusion on the charts was inevitable.

Nevertheless, it's still surprising to the singer, who was basically invisible to labels mere weeks ago. It was not until she agreed to be a part of fashion label Wren's short film, "First Kiss" — in which strangers smooched for the first time on camera — that her music was catapulted into the public eye (or, rather, ear). Good thing she's a self-proclaimed "kiss bandit."

"Two weeks ago I was still struggling to get anyone interested in signing my second album," Soko said. "And now, I have back-to-back meetings with labels who are finally 'out of the blue' waking up because, 'They've been fans for years... uh-huh.'"

‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Exclusive: Welcome To Oscorp

Peter Parker had his hands full in "The Amazing Spider-Man," slinging webs against the scales of Curt "The Lizard" Connors. And that was just one man — now imagine Spidey swinging against an entire evil empire, and you'll start to have a picture of what "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is all about.

Now, exclusively on MTV, you can find out even more about the upcoming movie, as we launch "MTV's Secrets Revealed: The Amazing Spider-Man 2" with an in depth look at the big bad company at the heart of the "Amazing Spider-Man" universe: Oscorp.

The nefarious corporation is at the heart of Sony and director Marc Webb's current series of "Spider-Man" films, so be sure to watch series stars Andrew Garfield, Jamie Foxx and director Webb talk about the evil entity; and then read on for a breakdown of what it all means.

Hell on Earth
What is Oscorp? It's a corporation owned by scientist Norman Osborn, a man best-known in the "Spider-Man" comics as the villainous Green Goblin. Oscorp deals in genetic engineering and unethical research that yields monstrous creations like, say, the Lizard, and even breeds unwitting heroes, such as Spider-Man.

But the even simpler answer, to hear Andrew Garfield tell it: "Oscorp is like Hell. It's the big, corporate overlord that's ruining our world."

Sick, Stormin' Norman
Everything that's happening at Oscorp revolves around a single purpose: Keeping Norman Osborn alive. As ...

‘Muppets Most Wanted’: The Reviews Are In

It's not easy being green — and it's not easy being a sequel to "The Muppets."

This weekend, director James Bobin and writer Nick Stoller offer up their all-new Muppet movie, titled "Muppets Most Wanted," to the theater powers that be — namely, the moviegoing public. It appears that 2011's "The Muppets" is a tough act to follow, but even "Muppets Most Wanted" is aware of that fact, addressing the sequel-sized elephant in the room right at the top of the film.

Here's what else critics are saying about the new Muppet movie caper.

The Story
"Bobin and Stoller sally forth with a daft yarn that combines the series' steadfast storytelling modes of chaotic backstage drama and, well, a great Muppet caper. Now reunited, The Muppets immediately sign up with plainly sleazy talent manager Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais) and embark on an ill-rehearsed European tour -- little realizing that their act is a mere front for a series of bank heists engineered by dastardly Kermit lookalike Konstantin. Mistaken identity games naturally ensue, with Kermit hauled off to a Russian gulag ruled with a travel-iron fist by Tina Fey's Broadway-loving wardress. Konstantin, meanwhile, gives the bemused Muppets free rein over their show, with amusingly calamitous results." — Guy Lodge, HitFix

It's Not Easy Being A Sequel
"Any hope you may have had that 'Muppets Most Wanted' would take these characters in any direction besides the most predictable is quickly scuttled with the new film's opening number, 'We're Doing a Sequel,' in which our heroes sing, 'We're doing a sequel/That's what we do in Hollywood/And everybody ...
