And to celebrate the beginning of the 2014 season, and the launch of "Off The Bat," MTV and MLB will host an Opening Day Block Party on Sunday, March 30 from 1-5 p.m. ET in New York City on 4th Street between Broadway and Lafayette Street. ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Trailer: Finally, A Look At The Green Goblin Fight

A lot of what we've seen from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has been kind of worrisome. There were some great things about the first movie starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone — namely there chemistry. And some elements that just kind of sucked — pretty much anything that had to do with the Lizard.

And that's what has fans nervous. There are three villains now. (An one of them has awful spiked hair.) So does that leave any room for what worked in "The Amazing Spider-Man"?

The final trailer, which just debuted, hints that maybe the Spider-Man we really liked is still there. The beginning of the trailer emphasizes Garfield's charming work as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, and he's very good at doing both. Scenes like the one at the East River with Harry Osborn is the kind of stuff I'd like to see more of, honestly.

The rest of the trailer, however, isn't going to change the minds of anyone is afraid of villain overload. The Green Goblin plays a much bigger role in this final trailer, and we do get to see a good amount of his confrontation with Spider-Man.

The action is very reliant on CGI, which could get a little tiresome in the theater, but it's hard to deny that the sequences, like Spidey's work with a manhole cover, are expertly choreographed.

We'll see if Spider-Man can handle three villains at once (both physically and narratively) when "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" opens in theaters on May 2.

‘Ghostbusters 3’ Is A Go, So Who They Gonna Call?

Dust off your proton packs and haul the ambulance hearse out of storage: the Ghostbusters are back in business.

A report from Deadline confirms that the long-awaited reboot of the "

Ivan Reitman, who helmed the two original movies about a group of NYC ghost hunters, has chosen to take a producing role for the next round of films, a decision made in light of the death of his longtime friend Harold Ramis.

That leaves a juicy opportunity for another director to take the reins, bringing the beloved Ghostbusters to a whole new generation of moviegoers — and to assemble a cast who can hold their own against the misty water-colored memory of Venkman, Stantz, Spengler and Zeddmore.

As for who that director might be: there's a reported shortlist floating around Hollywood as we speak, but it's a fair bet that Barry Sonnenfeld is at the top of it.

In addition to having worked previously with new "Ghostbusters" scriptwriter Etan Cohen, Sonnenfeld's resume — most notably the "Men in Black" franchise — shows a wealth of experience in bringing both thrills and laughs within the same movie. When it comes to reproducing the original franchise's unique mix of horror and humor, he'd be more than capable.

Perhaps more important, though, will be the cast. The original "Ghostbusters" had heavyweights Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson playing its quartet of supernatural exterminators, not to mention appearances by Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis in supporting roles.

It's going to be a hard act to follow, and an impossible one to replicate. But when ...

Chris Martin Is Set To Mentor Contestants On ‘The Voice’

Miranda Lambert, Aloe Blacc, Jill Scott and the Band Perry are doing a great job on "The Voice." But starting March 31 things are going to kick up a notch.

That's when Coldplay singer Chris Martin will make his American reality show debut as a special universal advisor to all four judges on the singing competition.

According to USA Today the typically camera-shy Martin will appear on three episodes of the show (March 31, April 1 and April 7), where he will counsel Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton during the second phase of the Battle Rounds.

"He's such an authentic voice in the industry. We could not be happier," executive producer Mark Burnett said. "There's a massive level of respect from the singers and the surprise from them (when they met him) : 'Whoa! Chris Martin. Wow!'"

The announcement was made via Snapchat at the conclusion of Tuesday night's East Coast broadcast following an alert to fans sent out on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

That's not the only shake-up coming to the show. During Martin's run, contestants will for the first time be paired off to perform the same song separately in a sudden-death sing-off. This new Battles: Round Two
showdown replaces the old knock-out round that had finalists performing the song of their choice.

Martin, whose band is releasing their new album, Ghost Stories
, on May 19, has already recorded his musical sessions with the singer.

It's not Martin's first brush with "The Voice." He was reportedly one of the leading contenders to replace Keith Urban on "The Voice ...

Seth Rogen Reveals Why ‘Preacher’ Won’t Be ‘Green Hornet’

Seth Rogen was at South by Southwest this year to represent his new comedy co-starring Zac Efron. But when we had the chance to sit down with the actor-writer-director, we couldn't help but pick his brain about one of his most anticipated upcoming projects: "Preacher."

Rogen, along with his frequent writing and producing partner Evan Goldberg, is one of the creative minds behind "Preacher," AMC's latest attempt at bringing a beloved comic book series to the small-screen. Like "The Walking Dead," the Garth Ennis-penned and Steve Dillon-illustrated "Preacher" features no shortage of guts and gore. But the adult material extends to super-bad language and copious amounts of nudity, including one memorable sex scene involving a statue made of meat.

Many have tried to adapt "Preacher" before, and all attempts have failed thus far. Does Rogen think the team that he and AMC have assembled can finally bring the raunchy, R-rated "Preacher" to live-action in a way that honors the source material?

"I think we can," he told MTV's Josh Horowitz. "The language, probably, we'll have to be slightly creative with — because we can't say the word 'f---' over and over again on AMC. But the violence and the sexual elements and the overall edgy nature of ['Preacher'], they haven't given us any indication so far that it needs to be toned down."

"We just had our first big meeting with them: Sam Catlin, our show runner, ['Preacher' creator] Garth Ennis and AMC," he continued. "We all just got in a room for the first time last week. It was ...

See Iron Man Hulk Out In ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’

Loki had an army, but the Avengers had a Hulk. And now, the Avengers also have a veritable one-man army to stop the Hulk, if need be.

Fans caught a first look at during "Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe," the TV special that aired on ABC last night. Along with the special came first looks at concept art for Joss Whedon's "Avengers" sequel, including our first real glimpse at Whedon's Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch vision. (Alas, no Vision, but we'll take what we can get.)

As exciting as those new characters are to see, not enough can be said about an old character's newest trick: Iron Man and his Hulkbuster armor. After several movies worth of anticipation, Whedon and Marvel are breaking out the big gun, in the form of Tony Stark's latest Iron Man suit:

The Hulkbuster suit has been a staple of Iron Man's armory for years and years in the comics. In "Iron Man 3," we saw an armor that looked very much Hulkbuster inspired: Mark XXXVIII, the silver and blue "Igor" armor that rampaged against Aldrich Killian and his Extremis-powered enforcers.

But that was just an amuse-bouche, a taste of the Hulk-sized Iron action to come. Based on the "Age of Ultron" concept art, it's clear that Iron Man's Hulkbuster will come into play, likely to rein the Jade Giant in once his giant green rage monster schtick gets too far out of control.

Hopefully, we'll also get to see Hulk and Hulkbuster Iron Man fight together side-by-side, Science Bros style. But frankly, ...

We began by taking a look at the Mighty Midwest, where bands like Fall Out Boy and Walk The Moon are battling it out. The #1 seed in the West went to Imagine Dragons, who, thanks to a remarkable 2013, enter this year's tournament brimming with confidence (and looking to prove that last year's opening-round exit was a fluke). So far, it's looking good, as they lead #16 Kesha by a sizeable amount.
