For a second it seemed like Lil Wayne might’ve forgotten he was supposed to drop an album on October 28, but Tune was just waiting to make an announcement on his own terms. On Tuesday night he dropped a PSA confirming that Tha Carter V — well, part one of it, at least — arrives on December 9.

And in the meantime, we’ve got a new single featuring The Lox called “Gotti.”

In his PSA, Wayne explains that he’s just got too many songs to fit on Tha Carter V “This album means a whole lot to me and I know the real fans out there, it means a whole lot to them too,” he said.

“So I kinda refuse to cheat them and just give them anything, and give them anything rushed. I recorded so many songs, and we had to come up with an idea or a way to get all the music out there and not just 13 or 12 songs.”

He revealed that he’s got about 31 songs on deck right now. The first part of Tha Carter V album will be dropping December 9, Which leaves us to wonder what happens to Da Other Album, which he told us that he’d drop two months after C5′s release. Is it the same thing?

This is becoming an ugly trend. Argentinian soccer star, Diego Maradona, is the latest athlete being accused of committing domestic violence, thanks to a cell phone video which has been released publicly.

The leaked video allegedly shows the 53-year-old World Cup champion striking his then-fiancee, 24-year-old Rocío Oliva, apparently for being on her phone. Spanish-language newspaper El Mundo translated the video for English viewers.

An irate Maradona is seen getting up from his couch and yelling, “Keep looking! Keep looking at your phone!” Oliva replies, “Stop, loco, why can’t I look at my phone?”

He then approaches her, and seems to strike her repeatedly, as she pleads, “Stop! Stop! Stop hitting, Diego!”

Since the video leaked, Maradona has denied that he hit his fiancee. “Yes, I threw the phone but I swear to God that I have never raised my hand against a women,” he told Argentine journalist Marina Calabró, via the New York Daily News. “The episode started and ended like that. I admit to throwing the phone, but nothing else.”

After being engaged, the couple split back in June. At that point, Oliva publicly claimed she had been abused by Maradona and had the evidence to prove it, but that was tabled when they briefly got back together. Now that the relationship is over, it seems Oliva decided to release the video.

Happy 27th birthday Frank Ocean. We really miss you — and can’t seem to figure out exactly where you’ve been hiding, or when we’ll be able to hear that new music you’ve been recording.

The last time we got an album update was months ago, when Mr. Ocean and producer Nabil both posted photos from the studio. Nabil captioned his picture, “Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game,” so we know that it’s coming…at some point.

Other than that, we know that it might be just a little bit influenced by the Beatles and the Beach Boys.

“When I was making the first [album] there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies,” he told MTV News last year. “It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it’s a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we’ll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can’t say much other than that.”

So, as far as music, that’s pretty much all we’ve got. But, in terms of what Frank Ocean looks like these days, we know that his hair is blue. Very blue.

Tyga has made it very clear that when it comes to Drake and Nicki Minaj, he’s usually singing along to the tune of Big Sean’s “IDFWU.”

After T-Raww aired out his issues with YMCMB on Twitter, called Drake “fake” in a Vibe interview and maybe dissed him again on “Make it Work,” Birdman has finally weighed in on the status of his camp.

Baby visited New York City’s Hot 97 radio station on Monday night, to promote his upcoming Rich Gang project and admitted that he still hasn’t figured out the exact source of Tyga’s discontent.

“I didn’t see that coming and still I haven’t gotten to the bottom of none of that,” he told DJ Funk Master Flex. “I talk to Drake all the time, we always talk and I don’t really know what’s happening with all that.”

The Cash Money CEO says that things are still fine between him and Tyga — “Tyga the homie, I don’t have no disrespect for Tyga” — but with that said, he sort of hinted that jealously might be in play here.

“He might be in his feelings,” he said. “And I got all love and respect for Tyga, that’s been my lil’ bro, but my intake is, I’m family oriented — either you in or you out. If you’re out, you’re an outcast to me. If you’re in, you’re family.”

If people continue to ask Snoop Dogg annoying questions about Iggy Azalea, then they should probably expect ridiculous responses from him.

If you’ll recall, the two rappers had a huge blowout over social media, then T.I. finally made one phone call and put it all to an end. Sort of — because people still seem to be interested in furthering this story.

Last week, TMZ pressed Iggy Azalea at LAX airport, asking her if she’d still consider working with Snoop, and she pretty much brushed it off. This week, they caught up with Snoop at LAX and posed the same question. After doing his best to ignore the question entirely, Snoop took another angle: He channeled Big Sean, and broke into a brief rendition of “IDFWU.”

Gotta give the man credit for being funny, even though he might not be as talented as Tip when it comes to answering the tough questions.

There’s nothing weird or surprising about Gucci Mane being featured on another Atlanta rapper’s song, but this was just a little unexpected since ILOVEMAKONNEN is very new on the scene…and Gucci is still in jail.

The new OVO signee has already released a version of “I Don’t Sell Molly No More,” featuring Wiz Khalifa, but the latest iteration features a verse from good ol’ Guwop. It seems unlikely that Gucci managed to sneak a microphone into jail, so this is probably an old verse that he had in the vault.

Being incarcerated certainly hasn’t stopped his musical output. “Speed Bumps” was released just two weeks ago, and not to mention the full mixtape, The Return of Mr. Perfect, which arrived in late September.

MAKONNEN has been keeping busy as well. He recently dropped a video for his Drake-featured remix of “Tuesday.”

A shooting at Washington state’s Marysville-Pilchuck High School on Friday morning (October 24), has left at least 2 dead including the gunman, and up to four other students injured.

According to CNN, a student who fired off several rounds near the school’s cafeteria died after turning the gun on himself.

Marysville police spokesman Robert Lamoureux says police in the town north of Seattle “are confident that there is only one single shooter,” without giving further details on the injured students. But law enforcement sources told CNN that two people are dead and, of the four that have been wounded, one was serious and three were in critical condition.

The Marysville-Pilchuck High School is currently in lockdown due to an emergency situation,” the school district revealed in a statement. “Police and emergency services have responded. The Marysville School District lock down procedures will remain in effect at Pilchuck until further notice from law enforcement.”

Chris Brown is still logging community service hours to complete probation in his Rihanna assault case, and it looks like those hours could make it difficult to keeep up with his busy schedule, including a planned fall tour with Trey Songz.

Breezy was back in court in Los Angeles on Thursday for a progress report, and according to TMZ his community labor sessions were increased to four days a week, for approximately eight hours a day, so that he could finish up by January.

The judge Mark reprimanded him for violating his probation by getting a speeding ticket, and amazingly enough, even TMZ felt bad for him, for once, suggesting the court should cut Breezy a break. Maybe, TMZ head Harvey Levin didn’t like being called a “devil” who was out to “destroy” him.

Chris Brown announced that he and Trey Songz would be hitting the road together this fall, which means that he’ll probably be juggling a heavy rehearsal schedule, along with those community service hours. He’s also set to perform at the Soul Train Awards on November 7.

Apparently, Rick Ross and DJ Khaled aren’t the only ones trying to get in shape for year-round bikini weather. Rozay has been shedding those pounds with his “RossFit” regimen, Khaled has been slimming down and now French Montana is posting pictures of his beach bod.

The “Don’t Panic” rapper shared a recent photo on his Instagram account, which was definitely meant to show off the six-pack he’s been working on. He captioned it, “Back at it #turbogrind #dontplayyourself #haaaa #crossfitFollow,” but I’m pretty sure he meant to write “RossFit.”

Looks like Rozay is inspiring more than music in his crew. A few months ago, he admitted that, before taking on this new regimen, “The most I used to do for exercise was stand up and count money.” Good for you Ross, but just for the record — I’m still counting money for exercise.

French is getting ready to drop his Mac and Cheese 4 project in November (unless plans have changed since the last time we spoke to him). If the reports are true, he and Khloe Kardashian have split, so maybe that also contributed to this desire to get fit. We all cope in different ways.

We certainly haven’t heard YG appear on too many pop tracks, but he makes an exception for Fergie, on her latest single, “L.A. Love (remix).”

The jetset anthem pays homage to the Compton rapper’s hometown, plus that DJ Mustard beat probably made him feel right at home. Mustard did produce his acclaimed debut, My Krazy Life, after all.

YG went all in for this one, even joining Fergie on the video set out in Cali earlier this week. The Black Eyed Peas singer shared an Intsagram photo of herself and the rapper posted up in between scenes, and she also dropped a short teaser for the upcoming video.
