The second annual All American High School Film Festival took place Thursday, October 23 through Sunday, October 26. Boasting submissions from over 15 countries and over 1,000 teen filmmakers in attendance, the AAHSFF is the biggest high school film festival in the world.

The teen filmmakers tackled various subjects – some dealt with individuality, the nuances of young romance, even the possibility of a zombie apocalypse in a high school. Many of the films unpacked the concept of individuality. Dylan Sparano, who was attending for an experimental animation he created, told MTV News that he hoped his film “speaks to some people that you can be cool not fitting in.”

Others filmmakers highlighted the complexities of mental health issues, drug addiction, and school shootings. Filmmaker Katie Yates spoke about her friend’s documentary on cyberbullying, and how the film was inspired by another friend’s devastating experience. “Cyberbullying is not okay,” she declared.

Despite the many different genres of film, one message remained clear: Young people want you to know they’re the ones to look out for

No one loves you more unconditionally than your dog. Despite your faults, flaws and questionable hygiene, your pooch accepts you for the person you are. No matter how far away you go — or for how long — your dog will be happy to welcome you back with lots of slobbery kisses. Here are some of our favorite videos of dogs reuniting with their owners.

The release of every new Apple product is a cultural spectacle. You always hear the stories about the people who waited 90 days to get the phone, the ones who flew from halfway around the world — the ones who camped outside the store. What no one tells you is that gazing at the line for the new iPhone is basically like witnessing “The Hunger Games” — with smartphones.

This morning, I descended into the ninth ring of hell (the Fifth Ave Apple Store in New York City) to observe and report on the scene. Here are six things I had to ask myself:

1. Why is everyone basically on the verge of beating each other…for a phone?

NOPE. WHY? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?

2. Why is everyone trying to sell me something?

For some reason, I think the last thing the people on-line wanted was a cold apple pie or another T-shirt…I think they just wanted their phones. That’s about it.

3. Why is this guy dressed as a piece of sushi??

Two beloved superheros, one unlikely foe.

Batman may be fighting Superman in 2016, but in the meantime he’s joining forces with Spider-Man — at least, their Times Square cosplayers squared off against some dude in Times Square whom they accuse of sexual harassment.

Last Saturday, 23-year-old Thomas Rorke managed to get himself in a fistfight with Batman (a.k.a. José Escalona-Martinez) and Spider-Man (a.k.a. Abdel Elkahezai), the New York Post reports. The dynamic duo allege that Rorke started the scuffle by drunkenly straddling Escalona-Martinez while threatening, “I’m gonna f–k you, Batman.”

Soon, Spidey and the Dark Knight found themselves in the fight of their lives. Rorke allegedly grabbed Elkahezai, who then shot webbing at him (it was really just the Silly String he uses as part of his act). The situation quickly escalated into an all-out brawl, and — before the Batmobile could get to the scene — law enforcement got involved and arrested all three men for assault.

Batman and Spiderman have always been proponents of justice, and in this case, justice will be served for all involved, no matter how drunk or costumed they are. For all we know, the Joker and the Green Goblin may have orchestrated the whole thing.

Actually, Marvel and DC, we think we just gave you an idea for a movie…

Coca-Cola announced Monday that it will be bringing back the cult classic beverage “Surge.” The fizzy, citrusy, highly caffeinated beverage made its debut in 1996 and was taken off the shelves in the early 2000s. And now, a limited supply of the drink will be available for purchase exclusively through Amazon.

But now that we have a small taste of artificially sweetened victory, we DEMAND more of our favorite drinks be revived:

1. Hi-C Ecto Cooler

Let’s be honest: You know this is what fueled you in your journey through the ball pit at Chuck E. Cheese.

2. Crystal Pepsi

Oh, Crystal Pepsi. Your light was dimmed too soon. The drink was only available between 1992 and 1993. It’s just not fair.

3. Sprite Remix

This was pretty much Sprite’s way of ~ embracing DJ culture ~, but the soda only lasted for two years on the market. TROPICAL SPRITE REMIX, COME BACK TO ME PLEASE.

The thirst for this one is very real. Someone is actually trying to sell it on eBay for $222.

It’s “baby, baby, baby” for Justin Bieber‘s manager, Scooter Braun! The 33-year-old Schoolboy Records founder and wife Yael Cohen have announced that they are expecting their first child together, according to E! News.

The couple got married in July, and their wedding included attendees like Carly Rae Jepsen, Ed Sheeran and Tom Hanks. Braun manages Ariana Grande, Usher, Rixton and Psy. Yael Cohen is the CEO and founder of “F— Cancer,” a not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating people about early detection and prevention of cancer.

That baby is going to have two awesome parents. Congratulations to you both!

A lot of people look for love in all the wrong places, but not many of them upload a photo gallery about it. Earlier today, Imgur user bakr1 posted a thread of pics titled, “My Love Story,” which documents his unique talent at showing up in pictures of random people making out.
