7 Things We Need To See On The ‘True Blood’ Series Finale

by 33 mins ago

Seven years, 198 plot lines, and one iconic white dress later, it’s finally here — “True Blood” is coming to an end.

Now, if we were the guessing type, we’d guess that the August 24 series finale, “Thank You,” will largely focus on Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), since prettttty much everybody else on the show has already experienced a happy-ish ending: Jessica is back with Hoyt, Jason is learning how to not have sex with everybody, Andy is set to marry/live in domestic bliss with Holly, Arlene and Lafayette have found love, Lettie Mae has found solace, and Sam got the hell out of dodge.

But some people still have menacing threats like Hep V and Sarah Newlin (sorry, “Noomi”) to deal with, and here’s what we hope to see with all of them:

1. Sookie’s choice.

No, not that choice — love-wise she’s already picked Bill, so that matter is said and done, as long as he decides to live. What we want to see is Sookie choosing whether or not to become a vampire. The last couple of episodes have made it clear that Sookie will always be attracted to them, so it’s a very natural conclusion for her character to reach to join the pack.

Though she is Hep V positive, so let’s hope she takes a bite out of Sarah if/when she decides to take the plunge.

2. All the Pam and Eric they can possibly muster.

These Flashback Emmy Pics Prove That 2004 Was Truly The Best Year

by 6 mins ago

The 2004, 56th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards came during a very strange time in the pop culture world. “Lost” was still three days away from changing the television landscape forever, “Arrested Development” came out of nowhere to upset all of the awards show comedy favorites — AKA their “Modern Familys” — and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were still a thing. (I know. I know.)

So to honor the weird and wonderful world of yesteryear, let’s take a step back and stroll down memory lane — here are, without a doubt, the most nostalgia-inducing pics from the 2004 Emmy Awards.

‘Doctor Who’ Series Premiere: All The Biggest Moments From ‘Deep Breath’

by 34 mins ago

Can we all take a “Deep Breath” of relief now that Peter Capaldi’s first “Doctor Who” adventure is in the bank? Can we all agree that his first full episode with Clara (Jenna Coleman) was equal parts sweet, hilarious, meditative, and awesome-sauce? Can we dig in to the episode’s biggest moments?

The New Doctor Emerges From His TARDIS

We learned pretttty much right away that Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor is going to be a delightful departure from Matt Smith’s foppish, silly Eleven — but more on personality traits in a sec. Let’s talk about the snap judgments that came to mind once Twelve first exited his TARDIS. (Spit up by a giant dinosaur, of course.)

First and foremost, he’s Scottish! (“I blame the English!”). Basically, get ready to maaaaybe have some United Kingdom jokes fly over your head if you live in the US, because Capaldi has officially become the first Doctor to use his native Scottish accent on the show. (Can you imagine David Tennant’s Ten with his Tennant’s real voice? Woah.)

Second, it’s important to note that Twelve had almost as hard a time accepting his new old face as Clara did. That later bit where he terrorized the homeless man was hilarious — and hinted at great things to come regarding Capaldi’s ability to nail physical humor — but it also let us know that the transition from outwardly young man to outwardly older man won’t necessarily be a piece of cake for the Doctor, especially ...

Watch The ‘Hunger Games’ Boys Ditch Katniss For The Ice Bucket Challenge

by 9 mins ago

Dumping a bucket of ice water on one’s head is nothing when compared with competing in televised blood sport against children, so we’re glad to see the “Hunger Games” boys doing the right thing for ALS. Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Sam Claflin (who play Peeta, Gale, and Finnick in the films), have all taken on the Challenge over the past few days, with Hemsworth even dressing up as a Ninja Turtle in the name of charity.

Hemsworth was up first, and he nominated Woody Harrelson, Hutcherson, and Matt Niven to go next. His costar Hutcherson quickly accepted, and he nominated his third grade teacher (awww), his first acting teacher, and another teacher, Pat Jackson.

Claflin then took the Challenge in “rainy” London, and all of this was so adorable but it also begs the question, “When the heck is one of them going to nominate Jennifer Lawrence?”

Brittany Murphy’s Lifetime Movie Has A Trailer — Watch

by 2 mins ago

Lifetime’s Brittany Murphy biopic is officially happening, and we’ve got the trailer to prove it.

Buzzfeed debuted the brand new trailer for “A Brittany Murphy Story” on Friday, and to say Lifetime’s take on the late star’s story is going to be melodramatic would be a massive understatement. In the trailer, we see star Amanda Fuller portray Murphy as she reaches her “Clueless” fame, then massively down-spirals due to paranoia, paparazzi attention, and prescription pills.

The trailer also depicts Murphy’s 2009 death from cardiac arrest at the age of 32, and it definitely seems like they’re going to make the whole thing into a very Lifetime murder mystery.

“What killed Brittany?” a member of the press asks Murphy’s grieving family.

“You did,” answers Murphy’s late husband Simon Monjack (Eric Petersen), who died five months after his wife. “You all killed her.”

Check out the trailer below, and in case you were wondering, yes, that is an “Ashton Kutcher” appearance around the 0:31 mark:

“The Brittany Murphy Story” airs September 6 at 8 p.m. on Lifetime.

The Stark Sisters From ‘Game Of Thrones’ Are Going On A Road Trip

by 4 mins ago

What’s the first thing Maisie Williams — a.k.a. Arya Stark from “Game of Thrones” — is going to do now that she has her driver’s license? Why, go on a road trip with her onscreen sister, of course! Williams proudly announced to the entire universe (Twitter) that she passed the big test on Saturday, and Sophie Turner (Sansa) took a break from being Littlefinger’s emotional slave to suggest some sisterly bonding.

What, don’t believe me that something as incredible as a Stark Sister road trip could actually exist IRL? Check out the proof below:

I think I can speak for everyone when I say, “pics or it never happened.”

‘The Vampire Diaries’: Damon Tells Elena To Move On In Emotional Season 6 Promo

by 4 mins ago

Season five of “The Vampire Diaries” ended with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) being sucked into posthumous nothingness while a shocked Elena (Nina Dobrev) lost both her boyfriend and her entire town, so we’re feeling like it’s a litttttle bit unfair for Damon’s ghost to be asking her to move on so quickly. Still, we get why Stefan (Paul Wesley) is a little concerned, given the fact that Elena seems to be sniffing Damon’s old clothes in this brand new season six promo.

“Damon’s gone,” a worried Stefan tells her. “You need to say goodbye, too.”

From the looks of things, that might not happen anytime soon — instead, it would appear that Elena flies off the rails a bit and starts biting people. We can’t wait!

“The Vampire Diaries” returns to The CW on October 2.

Kristen Stewart And Nicholas Hoult Did The Ice Bucket Challenge Together

by 10 mins ago

Have you guys heard about a thing where people dump buckets of ice water on their heads then — hopefully — donate money to the ALS Association? No? Yeah, I’d never heard of it until just now.

Anyway, Anne Hathaway took the initiative and nominated Kristen Stewart to do the challenge, and Stewart happily obliged. However, there are two major twists, here.

First, Stewart is doing the challenge with Nicholas Hoult, her newly single costar in the upcoming film “Equals.” (Their friend Scott Fahrendorf is there, too.) Second, instead of going the traditional route of dumping the ice water on their heads, they’re bringing their heads to the buckets and nearly drowning themselves. It’s real cute.

Also, note that Stewart nominates Brie Larson and Jenny Lewis (her costars from Lewis’ “Just One of the Guys” video), as well as her “Equals” costar Jacki Weaver and Max Thieriot. Hoult nominates Colin Firth, Craig Roberts, and Joe Dempsie (who plays Gendry on “Game of Thrones”).

Then they urge us all to use dirty water if and when we decide to do our own IBCs (your day is coming), because there’s a drought in California and what not. Check it out check it out check it out:

Shailene Woodley Has Sex, Looks For Eva Green In ‘White Bird In A Blizzard’ Trailer

by 28 mins ago

Hazel Grace, is that you?

As we learn in the opening seconds of the trailer for “White Bird in a Blizzard,” Shailene Woodley’s last big character, “The Fault in Our Stars’” Hazel Grace Lancaster, has officially left the building this time around. “Bird” focuses on Woodley’s character, Kat, as she searches for her mother (Eva Green) in the middle of her teenage sexual awakening and, well, things most definitely get interesting.

“I was 17 when my body changed seemingly overnight,” Kat voiceovers in the new trailer. “Flesh and blood and raging hormones… but then, one night that summer, everything changed.”

The rest of the clip shows Kat trying to find both her (formerly) Susie Homemaker mother and herself, while also unearthing long-kept secrets from her father (Christopher Meloni) and getting involved with a much older man (Thomas Jane). Whether or not she ever finds her mysterious mom is unknown, but consider us on board for this retro family thriller:

“White Bird in a Blizzard” hits theaters on October 24.
