Watch Kelli Berglund Build The Perfect Boy Out Of Disney Stars

by 10 mins ago

In the Disney Channel Original Movie “How To Build A Better Boy,” Kelli Berglund has the opportunity to build the perfect cyborg boyfriend — which is something that, to be perfectly honest, we’ve all probably wanted to do once or twice during wedding/prom/general life season. It’s hard out there, you know?

However, though her character in the film has a hard time with the local male population at her high school, Berglund — who also stars on Disney’s “Lab Rats” — knows a lot of really cool, hunky famous dudes in real life. So we at MTV News thought it would be fun to piece together Berglund’s favorite parts of these dudes to build a better boy, Disney style.

“His humor, I would say,” Berglund said of her “Rats” costar Billy Unger. “I don’t know! This is so difficult. He’s like my best friend. I would say his humor. And he’s a very loyal person, so I would say his loyalty, and his talent.”

Find out what Berglund pieced together from more stars, including Ryan Ochoa and Zac Efron, in the video — and be sure to catch “Build a Better Boy” on the Disney Channel on August 15 at 8 p.m.!

Chris Pratt, The ‘Pretty Little Liars’ And More Explain The Dangers Of Binge-Watching

by 12 mins ago

What do the casts of “Lost,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “Orange Is the New Black,” “Veronica Mars,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “How I Met Your Mother” have in common? (Besides having a ton of money, that is.)

They’re all on shows that are frequently binge-watched, and the other other thing they have in common is that they filmed a really hilarious PSA for Entertainment Weekly about the dangers involved in this particularly enjoyable activity.

Watch to find out what all of your favorite stars — from Chris Pratt to Lucy Hale to half the cast of “Lost” — have to say about the do’s and don’ts of bingeing, and wait a second, did they really just say that “A” is James Franco?

Robin Williams Was In The Early Stages Of Parkinson’s Disease

by 30 mins ago

Three days after his death on August 11, Robin Williams’ widow Susan Schneider released a personal statement regarding the late actor’s legacy. In the statement, Schneider reveals that Williams was struggling with the early stages of Parkinson’s Disease, which was unknown at the time of his death.

Below find Schneider’s statement — which also acknowledges Williams’ battle with depression, as his preliminary autopsy ruled his death a suicide by hanging — below:

“Robin spent so much of his life helping others. Whether he was entertaining millions on stage, film or television, our troops on the frontlines, or comforting a sick child — Robin wanted us to laugh and to feel less afraid.

Since his passing, all of us who loved Robin have found some solace in the tremendous outpouring of affection and admiration for him from the millions of people whose lives he touched. His greatest legacy, besides his three children, is the joy and happiness he offered to others, particularly to those fighting personal battles.

Robin’s sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson’s Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly.

It is our hope in the wake of Robin’s tragic passing, that others will find the strength to seek the care and support they need to treat whatever battles they are facing so they may feel less afraid.”

Ariana Grande’s Brother Made A Straight Bro Cry Love Tears On ‘Big Brother’ Last Night

by 13 mins ago

Arianators, fans of genius reality television, and general human beings, listen up: you really need to be watching “Big Brother” right now.

No, it’s not necessarily because this year features an excellent cast of future All-Stars, or because of Frankie J. Grande’s existence on the show, or even because there’s a character who calls himself “Beastmode Cowboy” while he wanders around in neon tank-tops, bath robes, and seemingly purposeless head scarves.

All of those things are great, but the thing #BB16 fans can’t stop talking about right now — and for very good reason — is the ambiguously sexual, game-changing bromance that is Zankie.

bb16-20140716-0459-zankie-3-560x313CBS

Zankie, for those unfamiliar with the term, is the self-coined shipper-term for the relationship between Frankie, who is openly gay and looks like a human peacock, and Zach Rance, a 23-year-old emotionally unstable “straight” bro who is seemingly madly in love with him.

No, not seemingly. It’s a solid fact. On Wednesday night, after a summer of cuddling, scheming, and will-they-won’t-they gay-straight showmancing, Rance was heartbroken when Frankie finally revealed his secret identity as Ariana Grande’s brother. Literally, this was his response:

Bu90atJIAAEXLG_CBS

“Frankie, you’ve built a house of LIES,” Rance shouted, in tears. “You have betrayed me, you have hurt me. Who are you?

Rance then spent the remainder of the 42-odd minute episode stomping his feet, crying, and pouting, while Frankie repeatedly reminded him that they were playing a game that is rooted in betrayal. This sort of unprecedented “Big Brother” behavior ...

Watch The Genie From ‘Aladdin’ Honor Robin Williams With A Sing-A-Long

by 15 mins ago

Well, if this doesn’t tug at your heartstrings…

We’ve already made the argument why, for many of us, the Genie from “Aladdin” was Robin Williams’ most important role, and now the people who are currently charged with bringing Disney’s timeless tale about figuring out who you are to life have honored Williams’ work in the most joyous way possible: with a sing-a-long.

Broadway’s lights were already going to dim on August 13 in Williams’ honor, but on the 12th, the current cast of the Great White Way’s “Aladdin” surprised the audience by paying tribute 24 hours early.

Entertainment Weekly first ran the footage of James Monroe Iglehart — who won a Tony for his portrayal of the Genie — leading the audience and the company with a surprise rendition of “Friend Like Me,” and definitely check it out below if you’re one of the millions of us who are having a hard time processing this enormous loss. Sometimes it really is the little things.

Nina Dobrev Shows Us The Sexiest Game Of Good Cop/Bad Cop Ever

by 8 mins ago

As any fan of “The Vampire Diaries” knows, Nina Dobrev is pretty great when it comes to playing good cop/bad cop — or good doppelgänger/bad doppelgänger, same diff.

Unfortunately, it looks like MTV News’ Josh Horowitz might be a little bit behind on his vamp dramas. During a recent press tour for her new film “Let’s Be Cops,” Dobrev got super method with Horowitz when we invited her to show off her recently learned “official” police techniques, specifically the one we all know and love as good cop/bad cop.

I mean, things started out well enough — a smokin-hot-as-usual Dobrev asked Horowitz if he’d seen the Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans, Jr. starrer-”Cops,” he said yes, and even went so far as to clarify that he really enjoyed it. Everything seemed to be going great. Unfortunately, this positive review wasn’t enough to satiate Dobrev’s “good cop” — she wanted raves, and she knew she needed to use her “bad cop” alter-ego to get it.

“I hear you hated my movie,” bad Dobrev said. “F— you Josh, don’t you insult me to my f—ing face!”

And, well, it’s pretty safe to say that it all went downhill from there. Check out “Let’s Be Cops” in theaters beginning August 13, and if you hear anything regarding the whereabouts of MTV News corespondent Josh Horowitz, please call his wife because she’s worried.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star Honors Lauren Bacall With A Tribute To Her Famous Voice

by 9 mins ago

While the pop culture world was busy mourning Robin Williams, another iconic Hollywood voice — albeit one from a much different era — was silenced on August 12. Lauren Bacall, known as much for her sultry good looks and marriage to Humphrey Bogart during Hollywood’s golden age as she was for her impressive body of work, died of a stroke on Tuesday. She was 89 years old.

The DuPont Show of the WeekNBC

89 years ain’t too shabby — for Bacall, it was long enough to garner dozens of films, a Broadway career, two Tonys, an honorary Academy Award, two marriages, three children, multiple grandchildren, and two autobiographies — but as Stephen Colbert said when his 92-year-old mother died, the good fortune of a long life “does not diminish, it only magnifies, the enormity of the room whose door has now quietly shut.”

Now, no one is blaming Hollywood or social media for focusing so much attention on Williams, because his premature death begs attention for a much larger issue, and his voice is one that brought joy to so many people who are still alive and kicking today.

But “Pretty Little Liars” actress Troian Bellisario hit the nail on the head with an Instagram post from last night, which perfectly encapsulated why so many people, especially women, were so affected by Bacall — because the 5-foot-8, deep-voiced actress introduced the movie world to a new kind of femininity that had not yet been ...

‘Once Upon A Time’ Reveals 6 New ‘Frozen’ Pics, But Where Is Anna?

by 11 mins ago

What are you trying to do to us, “Once Upon A Time?”

The show keeps adding more and more “Frozen” characters to its season four cast — Pabbie the Troll King and Prince Hans were added to the roster earlier this week — but one major character is noticeably missing from ABC’s first look at the cast. Anna, where are you?

SCOTT MICHAEL FOSTER, GEORGINA HAIGABC

Hat-tip to Bustle for coming up with this theory weeks ago, but it wasn’t until now that we seriously started to buy into it — guys, is Anna dead? All six of these first look photos prominently feature Georgina Haig as Elsa, while Scott Michael Foster as Kristoff and even Sven the reindeer show up as well, but Elizabeth Lail’s Anna is yet to show up at all, despite that fact that “Frozen Upon A Time” has been filming up in Vancouver for weeks now.

SCOTT MICHAEL FOSTER, GEORGINA HAIGABC

Look, we know it’s not pleasant to think about, but something bad happening to Anna would definitely explain why Elsa was locked up when we first encountered her at the end of season three. Whether she’s guilty or not of whatever crime has taken Anna out of the picture in present day — it could also have been Elizabeth Mitchell’s mysterious character, who will definitely play a villain — we could definitely see Elsa going mad with grief and freezing the ...

The 13 Most Fan-Tastic Moments From The mtvU Fandom Awards

by 10 mins ago

“May the best fans win, dammit!”

These are the words made immortal by MTV’s own Tyler Posey, at the amazing, infectiously happy mtvU Fandom Awards straight from the ground at San Diego Comic-Con. The awards, which aired on Sunday (July 27), were a celebration of everything that makes fandom great — love, support, generosity, shippers, and Tumblr art.

Everybody from Posey to Chloë Moretz to Channing Tatum showed up to support their fandoms, with G-Eazy and and Linkin Park also stopping by to, you know, rock the house down.

And while there were so many moments that truly captured the fandom spirit, it was these 13 that were the clear highlights of an amazing show:

1. Joe Manganiello Loves “Orphan Black”

Nick Cannon loving “Pretty Little Liars” was pretty little hilarious, but Manganiello taking another dig at “True Blood” had us in stitches — especially because he got a well-deserved “Orphan Black” shout-out in, too!

“Vampire shows are lame,” he said, when convincing MTV’s Josh Horowitz to subscribe to his favorite fandom. “‘Orphan Black,’ that’s a show.”

Yes, yes it is.

2. Tyler Posey Loves Everything In General

From Batfleck to “Teen Wolf” fans to just being on stage with excited Con-goers in general, Posey was a fan of everything on Sunday, bringing his typical breed of infectious enthusiasm to the awards. We can’t wait to see him host “Teen Choice!”

3. “Game of Thrones” Honors Joffrey’s Memory; Wins “OMG Moment”

Sorry, “How I Met Your Mother” ending — it was HBO’s megahit “Thrones” that had people talking, specifically ...
