7 Times Shailene Woodley Was Flawless On The ‘Fault In Our Stars’ Red Carpet

by 06/03/14

Shailene Woodley may prefer wearing down-to-earth, comfy clothes (or nothing at all, if she’s soaking up some Vitamin D), but man oh man does she clean up well.

Woodley absolutely killed it at the “Fault In Our Stars” premiere at the Ziegfield Theater in New York City on Monday (June 2), opting for a bright yellow Ralph Lauren gown that showed off her slim physique, but also made a serious statement — Woodley is not afraid to stand out from the crowd. You do you, girl.

‘Beauty And The Beast’ Star Kristin Kreuk Tells Us What’s Next After Tonight’s Shocker

by 06/02/14

After an eons-long hiatus, “Beauty and the Beast” fans finally got the VinCat reunion they were hoping for on Monday, when the beloved CW show returned for its Season 2 home stretch. The episode offered up plenty of solid romance — that shower scene is one for the history books — but (of course) it also drove a stake right through the hearts of Beasties worldwide by once again separating the show’s titular couple.

But don’t lose hope just yet — Kristin Kreuk herself told us that the whole falsely-accused-of-murder, man-on-the-run thing will actually help bring the lovebirds closer together!

“There is an element of romance to him having to be on the run,” she said over the phone. “It harkens back to Season 1, when he was on the run and she could only see him in hiding. They’re back to that again.”

They’re “back to that” only in the sense that Vincent being a wanted man is a serious relationship hurdle. Otherwise, things are going to be pretty hot and heavy over in VinCatVille — now that Cat realizes that Vincent is her one and only — sorry, Gabe — the couple can focus on working as a team to find out who or what framed Vincent for murder.

“[The conspiracy] is going to inform everything they do,” Kreuk continued. “It’s going to mean that they have to hide, constantly. They’re going to have to pretend to be things other than what they are. They’re going to have to fight ...

Get Ready For The Dark Side Of Lucy Hale

by 05/30/14

reporting by Cory Midgarden

Have all of those secrets on “Pretty Little Liars” left you feeling conflicted about the Liars themselves? Did that controversial, Photoshopped to death GQ shoot sour you on the “realness” of the actresses who play them? Well, fear not, because Lucy Hale is poised to set the record straight on June 3, when her long-awaited debut album Road Between finally arrives.

“A lot of people know me as Aria from ‘PLL,’ but a lot of people don’t know Lucy,” Hale told MTV News. “They don’t know my story, and the things that I’ve been through, and what I stand for. I think after listening to the album, they’ll get a clear idea of who Lucy Hale is as a human being.”

One thing that many of Hale’s television devotees probably don’t know is that this album — an 11-track country-pop collection that features songs penned by Kacey Musgraves and former Whiskeytown member Mike Daly — is a long time coming. Hale got her start as a singer back in 2003 when she placed in the top five on Fox’s “American Juniors,” then quickly changed paths when a move to Los Angeles found her booking acting gigs instead. Still, the Tennessee native never lost sight of what she truly wanted — and the end result, she says, will expose her fans to sides of Lucy that had previously remained as hidden as the identity of A.

“I’m a pretty happy person in general and I’ve been told I’m bubbly ...

‘A Million Ways To Die In The West’: The Reviews Are In For Seth McFarlane’s Western

by 05/30/14

Seth MacFarlane’s voice is as ubiquitous as Siri’s at this point, but those who skipped the 2013 Academy Awards probably haven’t seen a whole lot of the man himself. This all changes on Friday (May 30), when MacFarlane — who let the bear do most of the grunt work in 2013′s “Ted” — tries his hand at the leading man role in “A Million Ways To Die In The West.”

Of course — MacFarlane being MacFarlane — the comedy-western still features a healthy amount of body humor, pop culture references, and jokes generally meant for 14-year-old boys. But will MacFarlane’s big screen “debut” live up to his voice work from “Ted” and “Family Guy”? The critics aren’t so sure. Read on for our review round-up.

The Unfair Comparison
“The obvious comparison here is to Mel Brooks’ ‘Blazing Saddles,’ which is still the comic Western. It’s not a fair comparison, though. Not only is that a revered classic, but it also had a wickedly subversive social conscious. The same cannot be said for ‘A Million Ways to Die in the West.’ But it is funny in it own right, pilgrim — especially for those who already consider themselves fans of MacFarlane’s humor.” — Mike Scott, The Times-Picayune

The Scene-Stealer
“The filmmaker is lucky to have such a swell cast, one game for the various humiliations visited upon them to get those laughs. Led by Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, excellent even in the worst circumstances (see 2008′s ‘Hancock’ for that), her pistol-packing Anna pretty much saves ...

Why Cody Simpson Wants To Date An Older Woman

by 05/29/14

Want to score a date with “Surfboard” singer Cody Simpson? Well, here’s step one — be of an advanced age!

Woah woah woah, step back for a second, all you Mrs. Robinsons out there. He’s underage until January. 17-year-old Cody recently split with 19-year-old model Gigi Hadid, and he told People that her older woman status was one of the things that attracted him to her in the first place.

“I’m a big fan when a girl is smarter than you,” Simpson said. “That’s why I’ve been with older girls, ’cause I like intelligence.”

This definitely explains why Simpson didn’t choose to date the girls in his own grade — because if you go by the Game of Grade Point Averages, there was literally no one in his high school class that was smarter than him. Simpson graduated as the valedictorian of his Atlanta high school last Thursday (May 22), officially putting his money where his mouth is. And in case all of that intelligence and older woman-loving wasn’t enough to put you on Team Simpson, know that he is also cultured and extremely well-traveled.

“Instead of learning about Europe, I got to go to Europe and immerse myself into all these cultures and get a better understanding,” Simpson continued. “I got to go to the U.K. last year and visit Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace and all these places I had learned about.”

So step three of scoring a date with Simpson — after all of that intelligence and old lady-ness ...
