Watch Ansel Elgort Deal With Love And The Internet In This Exclusive ‘Men, Women & Children’ Trailer

by 19 mins ago

“So, what do you want to know?” Tim Mooney (Ansel Elgort) asks his therapist in the opening moments of this “Men, Women & Children” trailer.

Tim’s answer — “I think if I disappeared tomorrow, the universe wouldn’t really notice” — makes it clear that he’s struggling with some serious teen angst, but the rest of the footage helps us understand why. Everyone in Jason Reitman’s (“Young Adult,” “Up in the Air”) new movie deals with the alienation that can come from too much use of technology, but at least Elgort’s character (unlike Adam Sandler’s) has something exciting he can look forward to: “There’s a girl, though,” he adds.

Elgort’s sweet romance with the girl in question, played by Kaitlyn Dever, is fought tooth-and-nail by her mother (an overbearing, Facebook-hating Jennifer Garner). Meanwhile, other story lines deal with infidelity via hookup websites, online games, and — no joke — a mother (Judy Greer) selling her teen daughter’s sexy photos on the Internet. That’s about as real as it gets, folks.

“Men, Women & Children” hits theaters on October 1.

Robert Downey Jr. Confronts His Daddy Issues In ‘The Judge’ Trailer

by 10 mins ago

“I’ll never come back here again,” Robert Downey, Jr. snaps to his father, Robert Duvall, as he leaves home in the brand new trailer for “The Judge.”

However, the rest of the trailer highly suggests that this is far from true — in fact, “The Judge” seems to be another tale of a successful grown man returning home to confront his childhood demons (his father, mostly) and thus complete his journey to manhood. The main difference is that this coming-home tale involves a murder trial, specifically the one in which Duvall’s character, a judge, is the accused. Downey chooses to defend him after attending his mother’s funeral, and a whole lot of emotions ensue.

“The Judge” hits theaters on October 10, 2014.

Benedict Cumberbatch Gave Up His Clothes For This Steamy Mr. Darcy Charity Pic

by 14 mins ago

Ladies and gentlemen who like your soft-core porny photos to have an air of British sophistication to them, you’re in luck. This Benedict Cumberbatch charity photo could undoubtedly be used as the cover to an NC-17 romance novel, but it is also a throwback to “Pride and Prejudice,” so you can say you’re staring at it for hours for literary reasons, or something:

BxpRAjiIQAAvABYJason Bell Photo

If the image looks familiar to you, it’s because you’ve definitely seen it before — that is, you’ve seen a version of it before, when Colin Firth got wet and wild for the role of Mr. Darcy in the BBC’s 1995 adaptation of Jane Austen’s (not Jane Austin, Miss America pageant) iconic novel. Cumberbatch recreated the moment for the Give Up Clothes For Good campaign by Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx (the British TJ Maxx, which sells knickers instead of pants), and we’re so, so thankful for it.

We’d be more thankful if Cumberbatch gave up all of his clothes, but this literary allusion will do just fine for now.

‘Sons Of Anarchy’: Kim Coates Teases Venus, Violence, And Forgiveness For Gemma

by 8 mins ago

While watching the violent, explosive premiere of “Sons of Anarchy’s” last season, we were faced with approximately eight zillion questions. (But we narrowed them down to seven.) Many of these questions involved the seemingly inevitable fates of Juice (Theo Rossi) and Gemma (Katey Sagal), who both betrayed their club spectacularly through various f–ked up Moments of Mayhem, but there’s one in-the-know party who says we shouldn’t count them out just yet: Kim Coates, the man behind SAMCRO’s fiercely loyal Tig Trager.

“He would [forgive Gemma],” Coates told MTV News over the phone. “If we think about six seasons of Tig Trager, he was always bullets before brains. It should be brains before bullets. Tig has done wrong things at the wrong time by accident, and I think… if Tig were to find out that Gemma took out Tara, there would be an unbelievable sadness, but he’s been in that world. He’s lived in that world. He’s been in those positions where he’s killed the wrong person.”

If this sounds crazy to you then, well, you clearly haven’t been keeping up with “Sons of Anarchy.” Trager ran over an important rival’s daughter at the end of season four, accidentally murdered club member Opie’s wife Donna during season one, and … well, the list goes on and on. So it makes sense when Coates ...

‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Is Getting A Remake

by 15 mins ago

As anyone born in the ’80s can tell you, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is a gem. The 1997 horror flick based on Lois Duncan’s book not only introduced a generation of teens and tweens to the never ending love between Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr., it also introduced an eager generation of young men to the wonders of Jennifer Love Hewitt running around terrified while wearing a crop top.

Well, kids these days officially have it all, because a new generation of up-and-coming actors will soon cover up a vehicular homicide then deal with a fish-hook wielding killer. Per Deadline, “Oculus” director Mike Flanagan is teaming up with the film’s original producer Neal Moritz to remake the film, which is a pretty safe bet for Sony — the 1997 version grossed $125 million worldwide, then spawned a sequel the following year.

Could this remake be worth your hard-earned dollars? Sure — “Oculus” was a pretty fun, original movie, and the original “IKWYDLS” wasn’t exactly a critical hit. If anything, Flanagan’s version might even improve upon the original, but it will never improve upon its glorious ’90s fashion:

Drake Goes To Hogwarts, Tries To Steal Hermione In This Magical Pic

by 1 min ago

Ron Weasley, watch your back — there’s a new, very photoshopped Syltherin in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, and he has his eye on your number one gal-pal, Ms. Hermione Granger.

Oh, and did we mention the fact that he’s Drake? Drake… O’Malfoy?

To give the Internet credit where credit is due, this beautiful work of photoshopping was not done by Drizzy himself. The “DrakeOMalfoy” meme popped up weeks ago, but Drake himself finally acknowledged it on Sunday (September 14), with the caption “Me at Hogwarts scheming on Hermoine #DrakeOMalfoy #CantStandMuggles.”

We love Drake (and Draco Malfoy), but the erstwhile “Degrassi” star is going to have a hard time getting through everyone’s favorite ginger Gryffindor for Hermione’s affections. Might we recommend hitting up the Orchideous spell? Some wand-flowers would surely Accio Hermione’s affection in no time.

‘Doctor Who’: 7 Burning Questions From ‘Listen’

by 6 mins ago

If last week’s episode of “Doctor Who,” “Robots of Sherwood,” reinstated our faith in the show’s ability to deliver entertaining standalone stories in the Steven Moffat era, then this week’s outing, “Listen,” was here to remind us how great this show can be at making us fall in love with its characters. Clara and the Doctor were both in top form on Saturday, as audiences learned that Danny Pink would be an even bigger part of the Companion’s life than we initially thought, the TARDIS returned to Gallifrey, and Clara unintentionally gave the Doctor a childhood nightmare that would stick with him forever.

It was a clever, emotionally resonant episode that wisely decided not to introduce a new villain (or revisit an old one, like the Silence), but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have a million questions about “Listen” haunting our dreams from Gallifrey to the End of the Universe and back. Questions like…

1. Can the Doctor return to Gallifrey now?
During “The Day of the Doctor,” Gallifrey was frozen in time and shucked into another universe. However, Clara was able to return there — specifically, to that barn the War Doctor used to set off the big bang — due to her telepathic TARDIS connection being messed up by her botched date with Danny Pink. Sooo… does this mean we’ll finally be able to return to the Doctor’s homeland soon?

2. What was that creature underneath the blanket?

This was undoubtedly the question every “Who” fan ...

11 Burning Questions ‘Dolphin Tale 2′ HAS To Answer

by 12 mins ago

As you’ve probably heard by now, “Dolphin Tale 2” has officially swum into theaters as of Friday, September 12. And while I’m obviously extremely excited about this, I’m also a bit apprehensive — there were just so many questions left unanswered by the first “Dolphin Tale,” and without further knowledge of another sequel, it’s worrisome that the franchise might pull a “Lost” and leave me hanging.

Of course I’ll reserve my judgment for when I see the actual film, but these are the 11 questions from “Dolphin Tale” that “Dolphin Tale 2″ MUST answer, lest I demand my money back:

1. What happened to the fishermen who carelessly allowed Winter to become trapped?
Did they receive the death penalty? I hope so!

2. Did Donovan Peck find things to like about himself outside of swimming?

DolphTale10Warner Bros.

Donovan wasn’t the most likable character in “Dolphin Tale,” and we know he went on to win the Junior National Swim Championship for the Clearwater High Tornadoes, but what happened next? As we learned from Kyle’s tragic story, sometimes life can take you on a course you never expected. Kyle himself was lucky enough to have friends and family to lean on when he was injured, but what if Donovan’s swim career was DOA? Was he able to find things to like — hell, even love — about himself out of the water? This is a part of the story I really hope “Dolphin Tale 2″ has time to tell.

3. What happened to Sawyer’s ...
