She’s danced around A’s drama for years at Rosewood High, and now “Pretty Little Liars” actress Janel Parrish is going to dance for that mirrorball trophy on season 19 of “Dancing With the Stars.”

The long-running show’s co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews announced this year’s cast on “Good Morning America” on Thursday (September 4), and it’s a doozy — from Parrish to erstwhile “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro to Olympian Lolo Jones, it’s going to be quite a year. The 2015 Guinness World Records book won’t officially arrive until September 10, but we have a sneak peek on some star-studded achievements right… now!

First off, a major “yaaaas” is in order for the boys of One Direction — according to a release from the Guinness folks themselves, the band now has the honor of being the “First act to debut at No.1 with first three albums” with Midnight Memories, Up All Night and Take Me Home all debuting at the top spot.

“This really is one of our proudest moments, both for us and our incredible fans,” Niall Horan said. “Whenever we talk about it we always say how cool it is that we did it first, how sick is that?!”

Pretty sick, Niall. Pretty sick.

Additionally, Miley Cyrus now has the honor of being the “Most searched-for Pop Star on the Internet,” while Shakira is officially the “Most ‘liked’ person on Facebook.” (She reached 100 million in July, meaning she also wins “First person to reach 100 million likes on Facebook.”)

Metallica also had a pretty sweet year for the Records book — the band made history when they became the first (and, as of right now, only) band to perform a concert on all seven of the earth’s continents. They played a show in Antarctica called “Freeze ‘Em All,” which lead vocalist James Hetfield said was attended by “300 very curious penguins.”

Congrats are also in order for “Frozen,” which won “Highest box office film gross for an animation,” at ...

Season four of “The Walking Dead” ended with an ominous message for those Terminus folks who thought they’d gotten the better of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln): “They’re gonna feel pretty stupid when they find out they’re screwing with the wrong people.”

It’s undeniable that Terminus had the upper hand once they had the Grimes Gang de-armed and imprisoned in a rail car at the end of the episode, but this brand new season five poster makes it look like Rick Grimes will help give his team a fighting chance as they brave their biggest (still breathing) enemy yet:

In other words, “Hunt or be Hunted” is totally the new “Fight the Dead, Fear the Living.” (And we can’t wait.)

After a hard few days for fans of comedienne Joan Rivers (so, everybody), reports began to surface on Tuesday (Sept 2) that the icon was on the up and up after she stopped breathing during a procedure on her vocal cords last Thursday.

“It’s a slow process, but she’s on the road to recovery,” a source told E! News, adding that Rivers’ condition is currently stable. “She’s getting better. Don’t believe all this ridiculous speculation.”

Rivers, the host of E!’s “Fashion Police,” stopped breathing during the routine procedure, then was reported to be in critical condition at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York after going into cardiac arrest, according to TMZ.

Then, on Sunday (August 31), TMZ said that Rivers was “completely reliant” on life support, while other reports suggested that she was in a medically-induced coma, but still stable.

This latest report from E!’s insider is comforting, especially as it asserts the fact that Rivers’ family, including her daughter Melissa, are doing well.

“She is a rock,” the source said about Melissa. “She is calmer than I’ve ever seen her. All these reports about doomsday are not true. She is her mother’s daughter and she’s tough as nails. She’s the person keeping everyone together.”

On Monday (September 1) Lifetime bravely went where no other network had gone before — well, except for The Disney Channel and NBC, that is. Basically, Lifetime decided to go crazy and air “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story” based on the 2009 book “Behind the Bell” by Dustin Diamond (Screech).

However, they left out 99 percent of the “interesting” (read: actually horrible) details of that book — the details that chronicle the real-life hookups between Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Lark Voorhees and Elizabeth Berkley.

Instead, they gave us the fluff version of the “Saved” tale, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some bananagrams insane moments. In fact, we were treated to a potentially imaginary friend storyline, an Elizabeth Berkley as TV-genius/critic plot line, and the most fantastically bizarre hot tub fantasy sequence in recent TV history.

There were many cray-cray moments to choose from, but below find the 11 that are still blowing our minds this beautiful Bayside morning:

1. When they told us that Dustin Diamond could control time.

This was Zack Attack’s skill on the show, but IRL — at least according to the movie — it was all about Screech when it came to the “time outs.”

2. When they told us that Mark-Paul was a self-hating bottle blonde.

3. When they told us that Dustin Diamond had a crush on Tori Spelling.

… But she totally dissed ...

Labor Day has officially arrived, and with it the need to rid ourselves of our sartorial summer flings — those white sundresses, jorts, and wedges will have to wait until next year. It’s time for sweater-weather, y’all.

Of course, Hugh Jackman also embraced an aesthetic summer change this year, after shaving his head and growing a pirate beard in June. (It was for his role as the pirate Blackbeard in the upcoming “Pan,” a reimagining of “Peter Pan” from the pirate’s perspective, but still.)

It was fun while it lasted, but as the sun began to set on the Summer of 2014 on Monday (September 1), so too did it set on Wolverine’s glorious beard. Lucky for us, he documented the occasion on Instagram.

“Going ….,” he captioned on the first video, which features the Beard’s treacherous final moments:

“Gone….,” he wrote on the second. (Sniff.)

Labor Day is officially here, but there’s one gorgeous celebrity who will still be wearing white in the near future. Lauren Conrad, who became engaged to fiancé William Tell in October of 2013, celebrated her impending nuptials with a bridal shower on Sunday, and of course the photos are absolutely stunning.

“Best bridal shower for the best bride,” Allison Norton, who works for LaurenConrad.com, posted on Instagram. Norton’s photo shows a decked-in-white Conrad posing with two bridesmaids in front of a beautiful floral backdrop, and is to die for:

Conrad herself later took to Instagram to share intimate details from the event, sharing artsy shots of beautifully designed cocktail napkins and some out-of-this-world fine china. “Thank you to my amazing friends and family for the best shower ever! #tellmeyoulovemeFollow,” Conrad wrote. “Thank you to @dishwishgirl for making my shower so lovely!”

With audiences flocking to “Guardians of the Galaxy” like there’s no tomorrow, it should come as no real surprise that more Marvel franchises are in the works — but it’s still pretty Groot (err, great) to hear Stan Lee confirm that the Black Panther movie is definitely happening.

After months of speculation, Lee cleared up the rumors at the “Marvel Presents: The Legendary Stan Lee” panel at Fan Expo Canada on Friday (August 29), noting that Marvel Studios was “already working” on the film. He also addressed the even bigger elephant in the room, saying that a Black Widow spin-off from “The Avengers” franchise was likely.

“The chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies,” he said. “They are already working on Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and the Black Panther, and there are others I am not allowed to talk about.”

According to Comic Book Resources, Lee also said that Scarlett Johansson’s character would be featured “more prominently” going forward, which is understandable given her well-received turn in “Captain America: The Winter Solider.”

Now excuse us as we weep for lady-asskicking joy.

Zoe Saldana went full green for “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Chris Pratt gained a six-pack, and Vin Diesel even turned into a tree, but no one was braver when it came to changing their signature look for the movie than Karen Gillan, who shaved off her famous red locks to play the bald villainess Nebula.

Until today (September 1) we were only able to guess what this process was like for the erstwhile “Doctor Who” star, but now a video has emerged of Gillan bravely going where no Companion has ever gone before — to bald-lady land.

“Oh, it’s happening! It’s really happening to me!” the Scottish actress says as her anonymous hairdresser takes the first snip. “Everything’s looking a little… tufty on top.”

Pretty soon after the buzzer comes out, and Gillan basically goes through every stage of hair-grief as her gorgeous tresses hit the floor.

“That’s how easy it is, just to get rid of all your hair!” she exclaims.

Congratulations are in order for Ashlee Simpson — the singer and actress married Evan Ross in an intimate ceremony at his mother Diana Ross’ Connecticut estate on Sunday (August 31).

According to People, Simpson, 29, married Ross, 26, in the company of family and friends like her sister, Jessica, and her 5-year-old son with Pete Wentz, Bronx. Proud papa Joe Simpson also confirmed the nuptials in an Instagam post later in the evening.

“Ashlee got married tonight,” he wrote.

The happy couple were first spotted together in the summer of 2013, and they confirmed their engagement in January on Twitter.
