For the past few years, Jerome Jarre has been creating a Vine empire, six seconds at a time. The young and talented videographer’s brand of fearless slapstick humor has earned him a whopping 7.5 million followers and enough clout to open his own social media agency, GrapeStory.

Recently, his tremendous fan base and abundant body of work attracted the attention of a top-ranking New York ad agency, which offered Jarre a million dollars in exchange for one year of working for them in New York, according to his recently posted YouTube video.

It was an almost irresistible offer, because things haven’t always been quite so rosy for the French born jokester. As the son of a struggling single mother, Jerome spent much of his youth constantly moving and frequently bullied for the way he looked and dressed.

As a teen and young adult, Jarre fell into the habit of constant partying and found himself “completely unhappy with life,” at which point he decided to hit the “reset” button by making the gutsy move to drop out of business school and buy a one-way ticket to China.

One of the most powerful moments from Beyoncé’s 2014 MTV VMAs performance was when the word “FEMINIST” flashed behind the silhouette of her statuesque and, well, flawless body, as Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie voiced the words, “We teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way that boys are.” Watch it again below:

However, in recent weeks legendary Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox — who just released a new album — has been criticizing Beyoncé’s activism as “feminist lite,” and yesterday she told NPR that “twerking is not feminism.” She added:

“The reason why I’ve commented is because I think that this overt sexuality thrust — literally — at particular audiences, when very often performers have a very, very young audience… I find it disturbing and I think it’s exploitative. It’s troubling. I’m coming from a perspective of a woman that’s had children.”

What Annie Lennox seems to be getting at, essentially, is castigating Beyonce for being a sex-positive feminist. In fact, this debate over whether mixing sexuality with feminism cheapens the latter — and whether high-cut leotards are really helping girls run the world — has a long history.

As we’ve learned from watching hours of “Nitro Circus Live,” keeping a level head is everything in stunts and action sports. This dude on the phone embodies that completely. He’s just hanging out at a motocross event, nonchalantly chatting on his cell, when all of a sudden a motorcycle is crashing toward his legs. No doubt that would’ve led to some expensive knee surgery. Instead, “Mr. Orange Hoodie” leaps at the perfect moment, clears the bike, lands in a cat-like crouch and then continues his phone call like it’s no big deal. Amazing.

If you’re the “Always On The Phone Guy,” you’re almost-always an annoying and horrible person. However, this undercover superhero is that one percent exception. Pulling off this move gets him a free pass for life.
