‘Tis a sad day for us “Teen Wolf” diehards — Dylan O’Brien got squashed by YouTube sensation Tyler Oakley in MTV’s Homecoming King bracket.

Yo, Tyler: You’re adorable and we’re really happy for you, but Dylan would have made awesome royalty. And, come to think of it, his onscreen alter ego Stiles Stilinski would have been equally amazing, not to mention the BEST date to the dance. To all the ladies out there, this one’s for you: five reasons we’d kill to go to homecoming with Stiles:

1. He’d be really, really, REALLY excited to shake it with you.

As we gear up for tonight’s “Are You The One?” reunion special (celebratory Oreos and wine coolers await!), we can’t help but look back on the last special that aired…and ended with one awww-worthy surprise engagement between Ethan and Amber.

The couple has barely had a moment to rest since they were one of the first successful matches last season, and life won’t be slowing down anytime soon as they enter parenthood. With Amber due in December, the pair recently decided to alter their wedding plans, telling Us Weekly, “We were planning on getting married Spring 2015; however, after having our little miracle, it felt somewhat selfish to be budgeting for a wedding. We decided on having a small, private wedding this fall but also plan to throw a big wedding sometime next year with our baby.”

Babies and nuptials, oh my! We. Can’t. Wait. Until then, we’re gonna let our imaginations run wild with what the first (of hopefully many) “Are You The One?” unions might look like:

Carter is about as unpredictable as they come — one minute, she’s running away with a gun-toting juvenile delinquent and the next she’s embarking on a World Apology Tour in an effort to make things right with her biological family.

As much as we absolutely adore Carter and her new leaf, we can’t help but wonder what will happen when Lori makes her weirdly disguised comeback on tonight’s “Finding Carter” season finale. While most of you think the new-and-improved Carter is here to stay, can she truly remain strong enough to withstand returning to the mother figure she’s loved for years, a woman who feeds her fro-yo and gummy bears for dinner?

Nom, nom, nom.

It’s not as if life with her bio fam has been purring kittens and double rainbows. Mama Wilson has been caught in a series of controlling lies, dad David essentially put his publishing career ahead of his own flesh and blood, and twin sister Taylor gave a verbal beating following the near-tragic Max debacle. There’s something to be said about being honest, even if it has to do with breaking out in claws and fangs at the slightest full moon.

Our beloved Beta lycanthrope Liam is not only struggling with the sudden onslaught of superhuman strength (amongst other “Teen Wolf” side effects), he’s also grappling with the idea of coming clean to his best friend Mason.

One of the brighter crayons in the proverbial box, Mason knows Liam is hiding something and was thisclose to confronting the newest member of Scott‘s pack during last week’s episode. “I know something’s going on. I know you don’t want to talk about it. But you’re still my best friend. When you’re ready to talk, talk.” SO SWEET! Despite Liam’s occasional shadiness, Mason seems hell-bent on remaining loyal to BFF code.

That said, is it time for Liam to come clean? Sure, there’s always the risk Mason could take off running once he finds that his bestie has a hard-to-manage thirst for blood. But look at Stiles and Scott — the quintessential human-wolf duo are closer than ever! Even Mama McCall knows Scott’s secret, and there’s been absolutely no disowning going on.

There, there.

Our favorite on-again-off-again-on-again couple has officially called it quits. After nearly five years of fighting, yelling, bed-tossing and makeup sex, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola and Ronnie Magro of “Jersey Shore” are no more. Like, for real this time. Talk about epic sadness. And no more Fred Flinstone toe mentions.

We’d like to dry our tears just long enough to reflect on some of the former lovebirds’ most unforgettable moments, dating all the way back to 2009:

Their First Date (Season 1, Episode 3)

Ronnie almost lost Sammi to Mike “The Situation” during their early days in Seaside Heights. Almost. But Sammi chose Ron Ron, and the two shared an intimate evening of go-karts and mini-golf. The rest is a very rocky history.

In case this is your first time visiting the Interwebs this month, you might not be aware of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge that’s been sweeping the lives of celebrities and Average Joes and Janes alike. Essentially, it consists of some lucky folks being nominated to douse themselves in frigid H20 shortly after making a cash donation to the ALS Association — and then they challenge someone else to do the same, and so on. It’s all caught on camera and usually consists of a nanosecond of nervous anticipation followed by the ice dump, followed by a yelp and/or curse word.

Some fortunate current and former MTV stars (including a ton of “Teen Wolf” casties!) were recently bestowed the ice-bucket honor. Get your sympathy shivers ready, and check out a few of our favorite clips:

Marriage is hard work as it is, but throw in an affair (a la Elizabeth) and a liar (that would be Elizabeth and David), and you’ve got a not-so-romantical recipe for disaster.

Shortly after the “Finding Carter” premiere, a whopping 79% of you said that David and Elizabeth didn’t stand a chance, mainly due to the police officer’s ongoing tryst with her sexy coworker Kyle. But according to the seemingly shocking mid-season trailer (infidelity confessions! tears! blood! gunfire! ZOMG!), Elizabeth will “do anything” to make things right in her marriage. “ANYTHING?” David replied. (Our thoughts exactly, Mr. Wilson!)

Not to mention, after last week’s episode, Elizabeth seemed to see David in a whole new light after he really stuck it to Lori during an unfriendly phone call. The convo ended with David having the last word — take THAT, Lori, in all your dumb-disguise glory! — and an unexpected hot ‘n heavy smooch with his wifey. It appears that David is no longer a penniless loser (Gammy’s words, not ours) in Mama Wilson’s eyes, and she doesn’t even know about the secret book deal yet.

Going on a first date is nerve-wracking enough, but toss in the fact that you’re a virgin, and it takes those jitters to a whole other level.

Dominique, the woman behind our favorite new catchphrase, “No ringy, no dingy!” (seriously, can we get some T-shirts made?) went out with a guy named Sain — her first date in years — on tonight’s episode of “Virgin Territory.” Suffice it to say, we were grinning the entire time the two were enjoying their tasty crab legs. You know when a first date is terribly, uncomfortably awkward (read: Kyle and Tabby’s horse-carriage outing)? This was the exact opposite.

While Dom and Sain got off to a rocky start during their first post-club interaction (a few choice yo’ mama jokes and B-words were tossed around), the dinner outing itself went smoothly. When Dominique revealed that she’s waiting until marriage to have sex — even telling Sain, “No ringy, no dingy!” (Dom, you’re our new hero) — Sain replied gentlemanly: “I’m a relationship guy. I personally don’t have no problem waiting.” AWWW!!!

These two will likely be going on a second date, but will the chemistry continue? Cast your vote on whether you think they’ll become a couple in the near future!
