You may think that you can just post a comment on a rapper’s Instagram without them noticing, but as Nelly and Tyga have now shown us, there’s a chance they might catch what you said — especially if it’s negative.

Over the weekend, Tyga lashed out at someone who had commented on a picture of him and his son, calling him a “pedophile” because of his rumored relationship with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner.

Nelly, it seems, is having similar issues with online antagonizers.

He recently posted a picture of his daughter, along with a Proud Poppa-style caption: “Awwwwwwww look at my babe..!!!! Wow STINK I am soo proud of the women you are becoming … But u will always be my lilgirl.. @love_mylife,” he wrote.

Among the hundreds of comments, a user named @fittedcapberto called the St. Louis native’s daughter a “thot” — and Nelly Mo was not pleased.

Spoiler alert: The rapper didn’t like that.

“I ain’t gone lie lil buddy I was Alil pissed when I first saw ya comment about my child Cuzz on real will slap the SH– out of you for talking about my babes,” he wrote. “But after I saw ya pics and saw how soft u look I decided to chill Cuzz I not wit the domestic violence…!! #NODAT.”

It’s been a year and a half since Chance the Rapper dropped his most recent mixtape, Acid Rap. In the time since, he’s gained fans, toured the world, dropped guest verses — and left listeners itching for more.

Now, finally, we know a little bit about when we’ll get it: Before the end of the year. The project, Surf, is not a solo Chance project, though; it’ll be an album from him and his band, The Social Experiment.

“We’re working really closely with Francis Starlite from Francis and the Lights. He’s been a really been a big help on Surf,” Chano told Billboard. “Damn, I’m saying these things like people know it. Surf is the first project, which is coming out before the end of 2014. It’s the first Social Experiment project. It’s a big step for all of us all putting our heads together and letting Nico [Segal, a.k.a Donnie Trumpet] hold the reigns and carry it. There’s a lot of great instrumentation. A lot of input from cool writers. I’m already saying too much.”

He and the band have been in the studio heavy of late, and not just with each other. They’ve been collaborating with some notable musicians, as well.

El-P has some kick-ass producers on tap for his next extremely ambitious project. Now, all he needs is talent. And that talent, guys, better be comprised of some pretty cool cats. Literally.

Just the other week, El-P announced that he would be making the fevered cat lady in all of us’ dreams come true when he told us that the Kickstarter for Meow The Jewels, an all-kitty remix of the upcoming Run the Jewels 2, alongside Killer Mike, would become a reality. Now, he’s just looking for the right cats for the job, as you can see in the below audition video.

The idea for the Meow mix (get it?) came about when El-P and Killer Mike were doing promo for Run The Jewels 2, the follow-up to last year’s critically acclaimed Run The Jewels.

“I was sitting at a table and I was just joking around and I just decided, on the spur of the moment, to come up with a bunch of obviously completely ridiculous and joke pre-order options, one of which was, that for $40,000, we will remix the record using nothing but cat sounds and call it Meow the Jewels,” El-P told Entertainment Weekly.

Fans took that idea and ran with it, creating a Kickstarter that has raised nearly $60,000 for the project. El-P agreed to follow through on the absurd (and wonderful) promise, recruiting Run The Jewels 2 producers like Geoff Barrow, Just Blaze, Zola Jesus and Boots to work ...

Wiz Khalifa has released some party-themed videos before, but none like “Stayin Out All Night.”

For a show about zombies, “The Walking Dead” doesn’t feature an overwhelming amount of zombie-killing action. Instead, its character-driven focus is what keeps fans coming back for more, and for no other character more so than Norman Reedus‘ Daryl Dixon.

Because it’s only a matter of time before a new death rumor surrounds everyone’s favorite crossbow-toting badass, we’ll need these moments to keep us warm for the bleak, zombie-filled season ahead.

There’s the crossovers we were expecting to happen on FOX’s “Gotham” – including one with The CW’s “Arrow” that kind of, sort of happened – and then there’s the epic one that happened on last night’s (October 20) episode, “Viper,” when finally, “Gossip Girl” and “The O.C.” crossed over.

Seriously.

Okay, not so seriously. But “Gotham” stars Ben McKenzie, and despite the actor playing the city’s most heroic detective Jim Gordon, and having had many, many roles since, in our hearts McKenzie will always be Ryan Atwood from “The O.C.”

So imagine our surprise when last night’s “Gotham” featured a one-scene visit from Margaret Colin as a lawyer helping the Gotham City Police Department solve a case involving a deadly drug. The reason this is significant? Colin played Eleanor Waldorf, Blair Waldorf’s mother on “Gossip Girl.”

So, Ryan Atwood finally met Eleanor Waldorf. They had this whole conversation about the drug Viper, and what it was doing to Gotham City, and who caused it… And the whole time, we were just thinking, “Why are you not talking about this?”

Look, we get that it would have made no logical sense in the context of the show, but how do you get Ryan and Eleanor sitting down together, and not have them at least hint at how Blair is now married to Seth Cohen IRL? Come on, it’s not rocket science.

If you’ve ever been mocked for being a super fan, you really only need two words to defend yourself from your haters: Anna Todd. An avid Directioner from Texas, Todd parlayed her love of One Direction into not only a six-figure book deal, but also an upcoming film via Paramount. “Not bad” seems an understatement.

Todd obviously didn’t score many a writer’s dream via staring at photos of Harry Styles and Co., however — although that was admittedly part of it. No, her success sprung from a serialized story called “After” that she penned almost obsessively on WattPad, an online fan fiction community — one that cast Harry as your average hard-to-resist bad boy, and a girl named Tessa as the one who tries (and fails) to resist him. A smash-hit success, the story scored Todd a three-book deal this past summer, the first installment of which drops Tuesday (October 21) — a.k.a. today. News of the film came just a few days ago.

We spoke with Todd in honor of her book birthday to get the rundown on how “After” took off, who she hopes will play Harry in the movie and whether One Direction has ever said anything about her extreme fan status.

MTV: So how did you start writing “After”?

Anna Todd: I was reading on WattPad for about five months before I started writing and the stories I was reading, both of them, weren’t updating so I didn’t know ...

Since Lil Boosie’s release from prison earlier this year, fans have been eagerly anticipating new music from him. But anyone waiting on a new Lil Boosie album is out of luck.

That’s not because the album, Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, isn’t coming (though it has been delayed a few times already). It’s because the Louisiana native is changing his name from Lil Boosie to Boosie Badazz.

The 31-year-old has had that nickname for a while now (his 2006 album was called Bad Azz, and his 2009 disc was Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz), but it turns out he’s actually decided to make it his official moniker, a rep for the rapper told XXL.

In the past, the rapper has referred to himself as such on the official release of his song “Crazy” back in August. And on recent spots, like Jeezy’s “Beez Like” and T.I.’s “Jet Fuel,” he was also credited as Boosie Badazz.

No matter what his name is, we’re ready for that Touchdown 2 Cause Hell.
