Exclusive: Johnny Knoxville Reveals How That ‘Bad Grandpa’ Penguin Stunt Really Worked

by 06/12/14

Ever wondered how you can legally drive a car with a child on board into a giant penguin at top speed? You can’t, actually, as “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa .5” star Johnny Knoxville revealed when he sat down with the target of his latest prank during this exclusive clip from MTV’s Mancation Sunday.

In the movie, Knoxville, in the guise of cantankerous old person Irving Zisman, drives his car into a giant promotional penguin with his grandson (Jackson Nicoll) in the passenger seat. Turns out, though: that was a dummy, as Nicoll wasn’t allowed to participate in any of the stunts for legal reasons.

This is revealed as Knoxville sits down the target of the prank, who actually picked the dummy out of the car and threw it at Knoxville — a scene that hasn’t, for obvious reasons, been glimpsed until just now.

“I thought you were a f**king perverted old man,” the target told Knoxville. “I thought you had kids locked up somewhere.”

You can catch way more “Bad Grandpa” when “Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa .5″ premieres on MTV on Sunday, June 15 at Noon, with encore airings at 10 p.m. and Midnight.

So Can Letterman Just Start His Orwells Fan Club Already?

by 06/11/14

What do most people do when they retire? Play golf, right? Travel to warm places? Finally write the Great American Robot Porn Novel? Given Tuesday night’s episode of “The Late Show With David Letterman,” I’m guessing the iconic host will be doing none of the above. Nope, I’m willing to wager he’s just going to go ahead and become the president of The Orwells‘ fan club.

The last time the teen and barely teen Illinois garage punk band graced Letterman’s stage was barely six months ago — and they apparently made such an impression the first time that the late night king decided to have them back. Their first performance included lots of floor-undulating from frontman Mario Cuomo — who also plopped down in the coveted guest chair during their rendition of “Who Needs You” — prompting Letterman to ask for an encore and band leader Paul Shaffer to bust out his own cover of the single.

It was a bizarre moment — the incongruous juxtaposition of Cuomo’s eye-rolling, nearly demonic energy and Letterman and Shaffer’s suited glee. Last night’s performance was no different. Monday night, the guys played a small — sweaty, sweaty, sweaty — show at Brooklyn DIY venue Shea Stadium in front of a teeming all-ages throng of kids in various stages of punk-i-fication. Then, less than 24 hours later, they were busting through a rendition of “Righteous One” — off of their new record Disgraceland — on the glossy late night show, Cuomo sporting a newly dyed ...

Eminem Just Shared This Denzel Movie Poster, And We Have No Idea What It Means

by 06/10/14

Honestly, we really don’t know what it means. But Eminem posted this image below on Instagram on Tuesday evening (June 10), with the caption, “More Thursday. #Equalizer.”

Maybe he contributed to the soundtrack for “The Equalizer”? Or possible has a role? A producer credit? Maybe he just wants to support Denzel Washington?

What do you think?

Watch Miley Cyrus Sing ‘FU’ To A Cutout Of Selena Gomez

by 06/10/14

Miley Cyrus brought out a fun new stage prop during her Bangerz World Tour stop in Milan, Italy, this past weekend — a cardboard cutout of Selena Gomez wearing a poorly scrawled black bikini.

Cyrus usually only busts out the sleekest of props during her shows — tongue slides, hot dogs and horse heads included — but during her Italy performance, she went a little DIY with the Gomez-emblazoned piece.

Cyrus danced with the cutout during a rendition of angry jam “FU,” as evidenced by video on TMZ, leading some outlets to speculate that she and the fellow former Disney star are feuding in some way.

However, halfway through the jam, she tossed the cutout into the crowd (from which we’re guessing it came) and sang to the giant, furry bird thing that was also sharing the stage. Perhaps she’s PO’d at Big Bird 2.0 as well? Only Twitter and time will tell.

Can This Ad Help Abolish The Redskins Name?

by 06/10/14

In addition to taking a stand against the casual wearing of headdresses, Native Americans will take on the sports world Tuesday (June 10) evening. A California tribe plans to run an ad during the NBA Finals taking aim at the Washington Redskins for boasting a name that they find offensive.

According to the Washington Post, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation has paid for an ad titled “Proud To Be” — which first appeared online around the Super Bowl — to air during the big game.

The ad features Native Americans listing a litany of names that they identify with, ending with the sentiment, “Native Americans call themselves many things. The one thing they don’t …” and a photo of a Redskins helmet.

The original video — which is one minute longer than what will air tonight — was created by National Congress of American Indians, who teamed up with the Oneida Indian Nation to send a letter to NFL players asking them to change the offensive name.

The tribes are not alone in their opposition; 76 news outlets and journalists publicly opposed the use of the Redskins name last year, according to Pew Research, and a group of high school journalists lobbied to stop using the term, despite it being the school’s mascot. That proposal has currently been delayed.

The ad is slated to run in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Sacramento, San Francisco and Washington.

It remains to be seen what effect this all will have, however, ...

G-Unit Reunion Tour Continues: Listen To ‘Ordinary’

by 36 mins ago

The G-Unit reunion remains in full swing.

A week after appearing together at Summer Jam, the New York-based collective dropped their third song since reuniting on Tuesday (June 10). Like their first two, “Nah I’m Talkin’ Bout” and “Real Quick,” their latest, “Ordinary” is a remix — this time of Trey Songz and Jeezy’s single.

Once again, the whole team is here, as 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, and Kidd Kidd all appear on the track.

Last week, 50 announced that fans can expect a G-Unit album by late November. With the rate they seem to be working at, that sounds like a feasible timetable.

The guys from the Unit may have put their issues in the past to again join forces, but new conflict with Slowbucks is continuing to flare up.

After announcing that they’d be investigating the chain-snatching incident from Summer Jam, and then throwing shots back-and-forth with Fif on Instagram, SBOE (a Slowbucks-affliated rap group) delivered a dis track on Today. You can listen to “0-300 Real Sh–,” a remix to Drake’s “0-100,” below.

‘Daredevil’: Vincent D’Onofrio Will Be The Villainous Kingpin

by 06/10/14

Guess who’s coming to Hell’s Kitchen? TV and movie vet Vincent D’Onofrio will play the villainous Kingpin of Crime, the arch-nemesis of hero Daredevil in the upcoming Marvel/Netflix series of the same name.

As just confirmed by Marvel, D’Onofrio is the first name to join Charlie Cox, who was previously cast as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the first of the Studios’ series to hit the binge-friendly TV provider.

“We’re incredibly proud to have an actor with the gravitas and versatility of Vincent joining ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ in such an integral role,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television in a statement to Marvel.com. “Wilson Fisk is an iconic villain whose cunning and power make him the dangerous equal of our hero.”

The show will be run by Steven S. DeKnight (“Spartacus”), with the first two episodes written by Drew Goddard (“The Cabin In the Woods”), and produced by Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television.

Photographic Proof ‘Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams Was Clearly Born to Play Arya Stark

by 06/10/14

It’s no secret that Maisie Williams, adorable, pocket-sized British human and creator of hilarious Vine videos, may be the best — and most kick-butt — part of “Game of Thrones.” As the scrappy and murder-happy Arya Stark, the actress is impressive and growing into a terrifying but competent player in this high fantasy game of chaos and bloodshed (and boobies and dragons!). With Needle in her hand she’s not one to mess with — some might even call her damn-near unstoppable.

Which is why, when the actress posted this Instagram, we were none too surprised. Because Baby Maisie Williams, it seems, already knew she was born to play this part. I mean, just look at that expression:

#swag #baller #bitchez #paper

I mean…come ON. That stare, that mug, the attitude of a champion. This is a girl that knows winter is coming. If that’s not the sort of swag one picks up at House Stark of Winterfell, nothing is.

Too much exuberance for one person. Follow her on Twitter @alicialutes.
