This Supercut Proves ‘Game Of Thrones’ Is Actually ‘Game Of Wine’: Watch Now

by 8 mins ago

No one was under the impression that the Realm-dwellers of “Game Of Thrones” were anything less than boozehounds, but have you ever stopped to think about just how much alcohol these Westerosi royals actually consume?

The answer: a lot. Like, so much. All your wine are belong to them. All of it. It’s basically raining wine all over the Known World, but only a few houses have what it takes to really get lubed up, as evidenced by The Movie Maniac’s new supercut highlighting every moment of consumption over the past four seasons.

Heck, the video even tallies which house “got their drink on” the most. We’ll give you three guesses — and the first two don’t count — as to which family leads the pack. (Hint: It’s the one with the guy who claims to be the “god of tits and wine.” Between him and his sister, I mean, jeeeeez…)

Watch The First 4 Minutes Of ‘The Walking Dead’ Premiere Right Here

by 10 mins ago

AMC has done fans of “The Walking Dead” a total solid, putting the first four minutes of tonight’s Season 5 premiere on the Internet for all to see. Only, it’s almost too stressful to enjoy, and we don’t like how it ends. Hoo boy, are things about to get terrifying.

First, we should warn you, it may be appropriate to hold onto your butts. In this flashback, we see Gareth and Co. trapped in what looks to be the same rail car at Terminus that —- jumping ahead to the present day —- Rick, Daryl, Michonne and everyone else are inside of, prepping for what looks to be a real hootenanny (if you refer to epic battles as such, we mean) with the Termites.

And you know that whole “Are the Terminus folks cannibals or not?” quandary? Yeah, well, that one gets answered pretty quickly as far as we’re concerned, given the context cues and all. Our heads hurt just thinking about what we just witnessed. Yours probably will, too. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Second Person Tests Positive For Ebola In The U.S.

by 2 mins ago

The fight against the Ebola virus is not over yet as the disease appears to be spreading.

An unidentified health care worker from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas has tested positive for the Ebola virus after undergoing a preliminary test.

According to a statement released earlier this morning by the Texas Department of State Health Services, the worker previously cared for Thomas Eric Duncan, who died of the virus last Wednesday and was the first person to die of Ebola in the United States.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta will conduct tests to confirm the diagnosis. If confirmed, the worker’s case will be the first of person-to-person transmission in the country.

Related: Should We Be Scared That The First Ebola Case Has Been Diagnosed In The U.S.?

“We knew a second case could be a reality, and we’ve been preparing for this possibility,” said Dr. David Lakey, commissioner of the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Heath care workers from the hospital administered self-monitoring to track the disease. On Friday, the worker reported a fever and was tested; results were confirmed late Saturday. The CDC announced that the worker was not considered to be “high risk” as they wore a protective gown, gloves, mask and face shield.

Since then, Texas health officials have spoken with the patient and are identifying people who may have been in contact with the ...

Will ‘The Walking Dead’ Cure The Zombie Apocalypse In Season 5?

by 21 mins ago

Midway through the fourth season of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” viewers met a trio extremely important to the development of the show: Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Rosita (Christian Serratos) and Eugene (Josh McDermitt). Why important? Because Eugene knows how to cure the zombie apocalypse.

Or so he says.

Unfortunately for the entire world, the cast of the show opens season five trapped in a train car at the decidedly unsafe sanctuary of Terminus. So will they make it out alive – and to Washington D.C. to help turn the Walker tide – by season five’s end? To find out, we talked to the trio themselves during our exclusive set visit earlier this year.

What do you think? Will they make it to Washington D.C.? And can Eugene really help cure the zombie plague?

‘The Walking Dead’: Danai Gurira Teases Michonne Will ‘Shed The Armor’ In Season 5

by 3 mins ago

Michonne on “The Walking Dead” has gone through an incredible transformation since her introduction at the beginning of season three – or at least since actress Danai Gurira embodied the role after her shadowy first appearance at the end of season two. She’s gone from angry, monosyllabic badass to a mother figure to Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) who occasionally even laughs and smiles… While still being a total badass.

And when MTV News caught up with Gurira on the set of the show earlier this year during our exclusive set visit, we found that she was also enjoying this change.

“Michonne is definitely going through what I’ve always said is a becoming, and it really is fascinating to step into what that means,” Gurira said. “It’s kind of fun to see this woman shed certain pieces of armor, and open up, but still have other really steel, solidified pieces of self inside of her that are still quite formidable and interesting.”

And though Gurira won’t have much time to explore Michonne during the non-stop action of the season five premiere on AMC, October 12 (seriously, it’s intense), the rest of the season will continue to open up the katana wielding warrior.

“I’m having a really good time exploring her and getting to know her,” Gurira continued, “and I hope the audience does the same.”

Are you looking forward to Michonne opening up more in season five of “The Walking Dead?”

‘Daredevil’: Everything We Saw At Marvel’s New York Comic-Con Panel

by 40 mins ago

Unlike “Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” which entered the New York Comic-Con arena as an known property, Marvel and Netflix’s 2015 debuting “Daredevil” is a bit of a question mark.

Will it wipe out the mixed feelings from 2003′s Ben Affleck starring take on the blind superhero? And more importantly, will it successfully help kick off the series of shows the companies have planned over the next few years, including “Luke Cage,” “Jessica Jones” and “Iron Fist” – all leading to an “Avengers” style team-up called “The Defenders?”

Before that, though, marvel TV head Jeph Loeb took a moment to shut down some rumors. Though he noted they wouldn’t be talking about other series down the road, he added, “There’s an awful lot of stuff out there on the internet on Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. Neither one of those roles have been cast.”

After that, we watched the first scene, where Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) is attacked by a thug – only for that thug to be attacked by Matt Murdock decked out in black clothing, and a half mask/hat over his eyes.

The scene wasn’t hyper-stylized, but did have an air of the comic booky (Loeb noted it was based in part of artist John Romita Jr.’s work on the character), with Murdock fighting in and out of shadows, eventually crashing through a window to the alleyway below.

Then several actors were brought out – including newly announced guest stars playing the villainous Owl, newsman Ben Urich and The Kingpin’s ...

11 Secrets From ‘The Walking Dead’ New York Comic-Con Panel

by 27 mins ago

With one day to go until the fifth season premiere of “The Walking Dead” on October 12, AMC’s New York Comic-Con panel was pitched to a frenzy by the time the cast hit the biggest stage in the Javits Center. Moderator Chris Hardwick showed off a scene from the fifth season premiere, and welcomed the cast and crew for a spirited chat in front of a standing ovation crowd.

Here’s everything we learned from the footage – and panel.

1. Terminus Is…

AMC

spoiler It’s people. The first scene from the season premiere was shown off, and yup, the “sanctuary” of Terminus is full of cannibals. Also noteworthy? “Gotham” break out star Robin Lord Taylor is the first one to bite it due to the hungry Terminus denizens.

“Everything you’ve felt for the past four years, you will feel in one episode,” Director Greg Nicotero said of the premiere.

2. It’s A Matter Of Time

The new season will be playing with time to get deeper into the characters, something that was teased in the premiere’s opening scene.

“It’s going to be more recent past, there’s something about ‘The Walking Dead’ that deals with the present,” showrunner Scott Gimple said. “We’re also going to play with time a bit. We’re going to get to delve into these characters.”

3. Comic, But Not Funny

Season 5 will be more based on the comic than usual, according to series creator Robert Kirkman – to the ...

Ryan Phillippe Is Going Nude, And Prepping For ‘MacGruber 2′

by 19 mins ago

You can catch Ryan Phillippe in thriller mode for “Catch Hell,” which he also wrote and directed. But after being captured and tortured for the film, which is currently in theaters and on iTunes, what Phillippe wants to do now is laugh. And get naked.

“I got nude for [Judd Apatow] and Amy Schumer,” Phillippe told MTV News about his role in his upcoming movie, “Trainwreck.”

This isn’t Phillippe’s first experience with comedy, either. He starred in 2010′s “MacGruber,” which is inching closer than ever to getting a sequel.

“We are going to do ‘MacGruber 2,’ we are very close to making [it],” Phillippe said. “And wait until you find out who’s going to be in it. The villain is going to blow your mind.”

How do you improve on Val Kilmer from the first movie? “You can,” Phillipe said, laughing.

So how does “MacGruber” go from, shall we say, not the biggest hit of all time to getting a sequel?

“They’re nearly done with the script, yeah. Will [Forte] and Jorma [Taccone] have been working on the script for a while, and there’s an audience for it now!” Phillippe continued. “So it bombs at the theaters, gets the worst reviews of all time, but every comedian that you know loves this movie.

“Now there’s college drinking games, there’s kids going out as our characters for Halloween. It’s going to be fun to see what happens when there is a second one. Even if it’s just Twitter mentions and people telling you how much ...
