It looks as though the inhabitants of Storybrooke are anything but pleased about Elsa’s shockingly dark arrival to “Once Upon A Time.”

In a new season-four teaser brought to the world exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter, “Frozen” princess extraordinaire, Elsa (Georgina Haig) is shown ambling through the small town, passing landmarks as she goes, freezing the place up in her wake. Uh oh!

Continuing the trend of not showing us her face, the back of Elsa is shown wandering past several townsfolk and landmarks.

There’s Granny’s Diner; Mr. Gold/Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and his shop; Mary Margaret/Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin); David/Prince Charming (Josh Dallas); Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue); even Regina/Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) and Emma (Jennifer Morrison) — none of them nearly as pleased as fans of the film and ABC series are like to be.

And don’t expect the “Once Upon A Time” Elsa to be all that happy-go-lucky either, ya’ll.

“Here we go again,” Regina mused unhappily, with Emma adding an annoyed “Really?” to the end of it all. Bad princess, freezing everything in sight: bad!

Guess that’s what happens when you have a raccoon named Rocket and a tree-thing named Groot: you become the highest grossing film of the year, domestically speaking.

Not that such a feat was EVER a sure thing (to put it mildly), but “Guardians of the Galaxy” has seated itself high above its other cinematic bedfellows, pulling the title of highest grossing film in the U.S. in 2014, even beating out “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”

This proves once and for all the only things America loves more than America itself are chatty animals acting human and giant, lumbering trees (ha ha — see what we did there?) that say no more than 3 words. This is an especially big win considering this summer has been one of the worst for film industry sales since 1997!

As of Friday, “Guardians” was the number one film at the box office again this weekend, bringing its domestic total to $262.1 million, according to Box Office Mojo. A film once widely speculated to be the “first Marvel flop” is now on track to break the $300 million mark — and it would be the first film of the year to do so.

I guess sometimes all the world needs is a ragtag bunch to do the impossible. Even Iron Man himself thinks its the best movie the comic industry monolith has made thus far. Underdogs for the win!

Even though Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s magnificent and top-secret Italian wedding was three months ago, people are still buzzing about the private ceremony and extravagant reception. Although most of the details have still been kept under wraps, a few things have leaked here and there, and it looks like Kim is readying some more footage from just before the event.

In a clip from this week’s episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” we get a sneak peek into the rehearsals of the wedding ceremony in Paris. Between Khloe’s faces, Kourtney’s jokes and Kanye’s tight-lipped frowns, the rehearsal manages to somehow go smoothly.

Kanye besties like Sakiya, Don and Virgil make cameos, and even Bruce fusses a bit about where he should put his hands on Kim’s shoulder when he meets her for their walk down the aisle. It definitely looks like a lot of work—good thing there was a wedding planner on hand to help coordinate things.

The best part though, is when Kanye goes full-Miley-tongue when Kim asks him what kind of kiss they should do to seal the deal at the wedding. Married or single, Ye’s still got his sense of humor—must be one of the many things Kim loves about her mercurial husband.

Apparently all the rehearsals helped things go smoothly—look how happy they are right after the big moment!

Looking to blame Miley Cyrus for all that twerking in which the youth of the world is now partaking? Don’t, because she wasn’t the first. According to the singer, it was actually the original controversy magnet, Elvis Presley, that started the sensation that is again sweeping the nation.

“Elvis, he wasn’t wearing the outfits I was wearing but he was coming out and he was doing like the OG twerking. Like, no one wants to admit that he was twerking, he was,” NME reports that Cyrus said in an interview with Australia’s “Sunday Night” TV show.

Okay, so maybe this one’s a bit more philosophical than literal — we’ll have to wait for the full interview with the show’s host, Chris Bath, to really know. Still, Cyrus compared Elvis’ sexually charged arrival on the scene in the 1950s to her twerking days of now.

“He was like sex,” Miley said. “He was a symbol of sex but no one would have ever called Elvis a shit because he wasn’t a girl. It’s that double standard and I think I’m doing something for the double standard.”

Amen to that! As for those who criticize her for sending a “bad message” to kids? Miley thinks all the concerned parents need to remember that everyone has the choice to live their life however it makes them happy, and she asserts that she is a symbol of freedom.

Release your baited breath because Downton Abbey is back! The trailer for Season 5 promises all of the same behind-closed-doors affairs, illicit dealings and laughable commentary that we’ve come to love from the Granthams and their conniving servants.

Speaking of conniving, is that Daisy asserting that she can’t follow orders for the rest of her life? Is she planning to leave Downton Abbey behind? On the other hand, stalwart servant and loyal butler Mr. Carson admitting he feels a shaking, and it seems like this season will definitely shake things up.

Lady Edith thinks the world is changing, does this mean she’s going to continue pursuing a career? As for Lady Mary, she’s still focused on romance and seems to be caught up in a new love affair. But then again, Jimmy Kent is involved in an affair of his own—one that goes straight to the bedroom.

Taylor Swift is officially gracing the “The Voice” as a guest advisor. With the news of her brand new album 1989 and the success of her new single “Shake It Off”—her second No. 1 to date—it’s safe to say that Swift is back, and this time she’s ready to dominate the pop world. And in 2014, appearing on “The Voice” is practically a requirement.

US Weekly reports that Swift will appear in a similar capacity to Chris Martin’s season six appearance, helping out across all four teams. Will she advise them to get moves like Mick Jagger as Martin did? Given her new single’s focus on dancing, she just might.

Swift will join the show’s veteran judges Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, and of course, the brand new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams who will also appear on this upcoming season, filling in for Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green respectively.

Each judge will also have an advisor this year. Levine will work with Stevie Wonder, Gavin Rossdale will work with his wife Stefani, country trio Little Big Town will advise Shelton and Alicia Keys will join Pharrell.

The season kicks off September 22 at 8 p.m. on NBC, which is just about a month before Taylor’s new album comes out, on October 27. Taylor previously performed ...

Will this be the most cohesive season of “Doctor Who” yet? That’s not necessarily one of the burning questions referred to in the headline of this article, but it should be – as “Into the Dalek” not only followed up directly on the themes of last week’s “Deep Breath,” but some of the plot, as well.

So let’s get into it: here’s every question we still have after watching The Doctor (Peter Capaldi) take on the Daleks for the umpteenth time.

1. What Did Danny Pink Do?
When we meet new cast member Samuel Anderson, his Danny Pink is introduced as a former soldier, current school teacher, with some skeletons in his closet. Specifically, when a student asks Pink whether he ever killed anyone who isn’t a soldier, he starts crying and refuses to answer the question.

Couple that with the principal’s (at least we’re assuming it was a principal, we honestly have no idea how English schools work) “joke” that he’s “a real lady killer,” and there’s a good chance Pink may have some red in his ledger.

2. …And Is He Actually Blue?

We also meet Journey Blue (Zawe Ashton), a soldier from the future who is off in space fighting Daleks. Clara (Jenna Coleman) off-handedly mentions it’s funny she’s a soldier named Blue, because she just met a soldier named Pink.

24-year-old Michael Sam made history last May when he became the first openly gay player to be drafted in the NFL, but ESPN reports that today (August 30) he was cut by the St.Louis Rams.

The Rams drafted the defensive end in the seventh round of the draft and he was the No. 249 pick overall, but he was beat out for the final round of cuts by undrafted rookie Ethan Westbrooks. Teams have to make their final cuts to get to the league requirements of 53 players per team.

As of 4 p.m. this Saturday (August 30), Sam is now in a position of limbo known as waivers, which means that any of the other 31 teams in the NFL may make a claim on Sam up until noon this Sunday (August 31). If no team claims him, however, he can join a practice squad. According to ESPN, a source says that the Rams would still like to bring him on for their practice squad.

Sam tweeted his gratitude to the team, despite being cut, and thanked them for the opportunity to show his skill.

In his preseason performance, Sam netted 11 tackles and three sacks, even earning some accolades from coach Jeff Fisher.

“I believe he can play in this league,” Fisher said.

In the final preseason game on Thursday (August 28), Sam finished with a six tackles, the highest for the team.

Lucy Hale has been having one pretty little busy year, and she’s ready for some R&R!

The “Pretty Little Liars” star diverted attention from her PLL character Aria’s student-teacher romance on PLL by releasing her first-ever musical project Road Between, and she’s been on the go performing and promoting since the album came out in June.

Not only that, but she needed to be in Los Angeles to help host our own VMA pre-show. Maybe all this traveling is why she’s sooo thankful to finally be back home with her family and her adorable puppy Jack! Here they are yesterday at the airport, finally reunited:

Lucy is home for the weekend, which means lots of family time too, like hanging out with the rest of the lady Hales.

Those are some good genes right there—is there anyone in her family who isn’t beautiful??

Sometimes it seems like volcanoes are a thing of the past. Sure, we’ve all read about Mount St. Helens erupting in 1980, or way farther back, Mount Vesuvius in ancient Pompeii, but our current world in 2014 seems removed from these natural explosions.

But they can definitely still happen. In fact, just yesterday not one but two volcanoes began erupting! The first is Mount Tavurvur, which is located just north of Australia on the island of Papau New Guinea near a city called Rabaul, and the other is Bardarbunga in Iceland.

Mount Tavurvur began to erupt on Friday morning (August 29) and ABC News reports that a bulletin from the Rabaul Volcanological Observatory pinpointed the beginning of activity around 3:30 and 4:00 a.m..

This volcano has erupted many times before, but a previous eruption in 1994 wiped out Rabaul. The 1994 eruption occurred simultaneously with that of another nearby volcano Mount Vulcan, and together the two eruptions destroyed the city that was the provincial capital. Since then, the capital was moved from Rabaul to the city of Kokopo.

Mount Tavurvur last erupted in 2013 and other eruptions have been in noted in 2011, 2010, 2006, 2005 and 2002, aside from the major 1994 one. In comparison to the eruption twenty years ago, this event is fairly small.

So far, an evacuation notice has not been issued to Rabaul, although residents in communities closer to the volcanic activity have been evacuated. Rabaul residents are advised to stay in doors and schools ...
