There were plenty of shocks and surprising twists on display during Peter Capaldi’s debut as The Doctor on “Doctor Who,” but none bigger than the jaw dropping return of… Well, spoilers, sweetie.

Massive, massive “Doctor Who” spoilers past this point.

Yes, the previous Doctor, played by Matt Smith, returned for one last hurrah after “dying” at the end of “The Time Of The Doctor” this past Christmas. In the emotional scene, Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) is still not totally convinced that the new Doctor, played by Capaldi, is the same person inside as “her” Doctor, played by Smith.

And then she gets a phone call on her cell from Smith’s Eleven, as he’s dying during the Siege of Trenzalore. He tells her that he’s the same man inside, and to trust Capaldi as if he’s Smith. Which he, of course, still is, despite the outside (and a bit of the insides) looking different.

But Smith has been wrapped on “Doctor Who” since the filming of “Time Of The Doctor” back in September, 2013. So how did he end up making such a substantial cameo nearly a year later?

Turns out, the BBC has been sitting on that footage for a good long while, as we found out when we asked Executive Producer Steven Moffat about the scene at the blue carpet premiere of “Deep Breath” in New York.

Keeping things vague for any spoiler-phobes in the area, we asked Moffat how they pulled off the secret cameo.

Kim Kardashian is rocking the VMAs tomorrow as a presenter, but she’s also rocking no makeup this weekend. And she looks stunning, so much so that if she decides to go sans makeup at the VMAs we probably wouldn’t even notice!

Kardashian’s been working on a couple of new beauty routines as of late, such as using a waist-shaper, which involves working out with a corset. If we had to choose to do one of them between the two, we’ll probably go without the makeup… probably.

Ferguson, Missouri has seen three consecutive nights of relative calm following two weeks of violent clashes between police and protesters in the wake of the shooting death of Michael Brown. Many artists have responded and shared their thoughts, from J. Cole visiting Ferguson to show his support to protesters, to T.I. speaking out on Instagram.

Now Chan Marshall, a.k.a. Cat Power, and Sky Ferreira are also joining in the growing chorus of voices lending support to the protesters who’ve been rallying on behalf of the unarmed teen killed by a Ferguson police officer. Marshall has been vocal on Twitter about her dismay over what has been taking place in the St. Louis suburb. On Friday, she announced she would perform a free benefit concert tomorrow night.

According to Consequence Of Sound, Cat Power invited Ferreira to join her, but Ferreira already had a concert scheduled so instead, Ferreira will donate proceeds to the cause from her own show. “@catpowerofficial is playing a show tomorrow. I’m trying to find a way to come but I’m contractually obligated to another show,” Ferreira wrote on Instagram. “The $$$ for my performance will go towards this & I will be there in spirit.”

Cat Power is scheduled to perform two shows at Firebird in St. Louis tomorrow.

Feeling 22 is cool and all, Taylor, but I think I’d rather dial it back down to 21 if it means looking anything like Beyoncé in this throwback shot of what seem to be some kind of roller-rink birthday invite from Bey’s yesteryear.

‘Yonce shared the below snap to Instagram Friday — forget #TBT, Queen Bey does what Queen Bey wants — featuring a 21-year-old Beyoncé Knowles kitted out like some kind of ’80s skate siren.

“Flashback My 21st birthday invitation. 80′s Skate party in ATL Good times!,” the caption reads, which seems appropriate because if you were cognizant during the ’80s you probably had one or two b’days in the roller rink. We’re guessing Bey’s 21st affair didn’t feature an animatronic animal band and sheet cake, though. Just a hunch.

If Taylor Swift was hoping to inspire fans with her new single, “Shake It Off,” and its accompanying dance-packed video, she’s apparently succeeded. The jam hasn’t even been out a week yet, and already it’s spurred folks to shake it off via flip-replete flash mobs in fast food joints. And Taylor? She couldn’t be more pleased.

“So @markromanek just sent me this and I’m hyperventilating with joy over it. Thank you, Dimensions Dance,” Swift tweeted, referring to “Shake It Off” director Mark Romanek. Looks like you need our emojis, lady.

The video she shared features a retelling, of sorts, of the original video: a.k.a. a ton of skilled dancers leaping around as a befuddled blonde girl joins in, dancing with wild abandon. In characteristic flash mob style, however, the performance takes place in front of an unsuspecting crowd at a Cane’s Chicken in Lewisville, Texas. Cue the slightly off-beat clap-along.

Perhaps Swift can take some inspiration from this troupe’s rendition and stage an impromptu flash mob at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, when she performs onstage at The Forum? Thank about it, Tay.
