Beyoncé was forced to pull out of a scheduled Mrs. Carter World Tour date in Antwerp, Belgium, on doctor’s orders.
According to a statement released to the Associated Press, the singer, reportedly suffering from dehydration and exhaustion, was advised by doctors to rest, and might need to hold off on Wednesday night’s second show at Antwerp’s Sportpaleis as well.
The statement added that the singer is, “awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision” on Wednesday’s show. The tour kicked off in Serbia on April 15 and is scheduled to continue through an August 5 date at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. She has played 20 dates so far and has 11 European shows left after the Antwerp gigs before the production kicks into gear again with a June 28 date at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show cancellation comes just one day after the latest rumors popped up that Bey, 31, might be pregnant with her second child with Jay-Z.
The New York Post‘s Page Six reported that the couple, parents to daughter Blue Ivy, 16 months, are keeping the pregnancy under wraps. Citing unnamed sources, the Post claimed that Beyoncé strategically wore a high, belted waist gown at last week’s Met Gala to camouflage her midsection.
