Beyonce Reveals The Sketches Behind Her On The Run Tour Paris Wardrobe

Even though Beyonce and Jay Z’s On the Run tour ended last weekend, we’ll soon be able to relive it again and again thanks to HBO, which will be premiering a special documentary this Saturday (September 20) at 9 p.m. EST.

To get us ready for the doc, Bey shared some sketches of her OTR wardrobe. The new additions come largely courtesy of Versace, the brand that gifted us all with the immortal image of Queen B. and Nicki Minaj performing together in matching looks in Paris. As we’re well aware by now, Bey loves a good bodysuit and Versace, along with Givenchy, came through with new options.

The lucky Paris attendees got not only a performance from Nicki, but also a look at Bey in this Versace bodysuit. It’s leather with sheer paneling and, essentially, garter belts across her midsection—some people have all the luck, eh?

Beyonce also went with a bad-chick look for her long-sleeve peplum bodysuit. According to the description, Versace dubs the look “Bandit” Beyonce: “Strong and powerful; perfect for an incredible opening in Paris!”

Things then take a turn toward the sparkling in this Versace bodysuit. Why is there a pole in the sketch? You know what? I don’t actually care. After her Mrs. Carter World Show tour I didn’t think Bey could get any shiner than her Britney Spears-nodding nude bodysuit, but she just one-upped that with this.

But as far as inspiration goes, the look with the best story behind it has to be Bey’s new Givenchy bodysuit, which was, apparently, “inspired by a fusion of ’70s bondage, mermaid, and pinups.” Only Beyonce could make those things work together, right?

Goodbye, On the Run tour—we’ll think of you often and, LBR, we’ll relive you on Saturday, when HBO airs the documentary. We’re ready.
