You’ll often hear artists complain that their labels, or label heads aren’t doing much for their careers — take Freddie Gibbs and Jeezy, for example — but Drake doesn’t seem like that kind of boss. His signee, 21-year-old PartyNextDoor, kicked off his first headlining solo tour in Montreal, Canada, on Sunday night and the OVO captain was there to support.

This summer, Drake gave PND the spotlight with a big performance at his annual OVO Fest in Toronto, and last night, he showed even more love.

Drizzy showed up to perform their collaboration, “Recognize,” which sent the crowd wild. Of course, there were plenty of blurry Instagram and YouTube footage of the cameo.

While it’s been more than a decade since Vanity Fair rounded up some of Hollywood’s brightest, young talent, its 2003 cover featuring Amanda Bynes, the Olsen twins, Mandy Moore, Hilary Duff and more has become iconic. “Never forget” is a mantra that both a fan and Evan Rachel Wood chanted last week when Wood spewed her thoughts about the photo shoot with her cohorts.

“I was almost in tears after this shoot. They tried that dress on me, I wasn’t comfortable but they told me there was no time,” she wrote, tweeting several more admissions last week, including that her mag cover co-stars hogged her prep time.

Amanda Bynes, 28, has battled mental health issues in the past year. And although she seemed to rebound late last year, the actress is under a 5150 psychiatric hold for now. She has expressed plans to study psychology in New York City after reportedly pursuing course work in fashion design.

The Olsen twins, 28, run the respected high-end labels The Row and Elizabeth and James, transitioning from acting to fashion. Mary Kate is rumored to have be engaged (if not married) to French banker Olivier Sarkozy.

Girl time between Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift sounds like the best. In my imagination, the BFFs talk about boys, clothes and all the other normal things besties do, but like any true friends, there are times when talk turns serious.

While making an appearance on CBS’ “The Talk,” Selena revealed to the hosts that Taylor “never judges” her for anything she does. Gomez went on to share a very valuable piece of advice Taylor gave her while they were just hanging out and “sitting by the fire.”

“[Taylor] was actually at my house the other day and we were sitting by the fire and I was talking about relationships and business in my life and she just kind of looked at me, and she supports me and never judges me for anything, and she was like, ‘Selena, if you’re the smartest person in the room, I think you’re going to be in the wrong room,’ ” Gomez recalled.

“She thinks I should constantly surround myself — and I agree with her — with people who are going to make me better,” Gomez continued, “that are going to challenge me, motivate me, and it just stuck with me, so I kind of constantly repeat that to myself now and I just want to surround myself with those people.”

It feels like it wasn’t all that long ago when a skinny Atlanta kid with attitude started to burn up the airwaves with early-career favorites like “Rubberband Man” and “Let’s Get Away.” But that was over a decade ago, and now T.I. is a seasoned vet who has entered a rare class of consistency and longevity, with his ninth album, Paperwork, out on Tuesday.

Over that span, he’s grown to become one of rap’s most well-rounded artists — mature without losing his sense of where he’s from, honest to his own experiences without sacrificing being relatable — which he proves again on Paperwork.

The release is not his most cohesive — the subjects and sounds of the songs can at times feel disjointed when placed next to each other in the way that they are in the album’s sequencing. But taken alone and then compared side-by-side, the tracks demonstrate the ways in which Tip has bucked the easy route of creating a musical caricature to instead paint the fullness of a man.

Really, though, he has no other choice. We’ve seen T.I.’s life play out in public in a way unrivaled by maybe any other rapper during this era. And not in the This Is What Kanye West Was Wearing At LAX paparazzi kind of way. Instead, we’ve seen him open up about his family life on his VH1 reality show, “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.” On the other side, we’ve seen his trials and tribulations — arrests, court ...

Be sure to set aside another $100 or so to buy extra Stormtroopers.

Does the murder in “American Horror Story: Freak Show” take itself just a little too seriously for your liking? Is its upcoming spin-off, “American Crime Story” just not what you’re looking for when it comes to televised entertainment?

Well, then you’re in luck, because the folks that created “AHS” and “Glee” are back, this time for a “genre-bending comedy-horror” anthology series called “Scream Queens,” which is set to air on Fox in the fall of 2015. “Queens” will be produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, and the show — which has already received a full season, 15-episode order — will focus on a college campus for its first season. Also, it will apparently star two women every year, so suck on that, “True Detective.”

“I knew I wanted to work with Brad and Ian again on something comedic, and we are having a blast writing ‘Scream Queens,’” Murphy said in Fox’s release. “We hope to create a whole new genre — comedy-horror — and the idea is for every season to revolve around two female leads. We’ve already begun a nationwide search for those women, as well as 10 other supporting roles, and we’re very grateful to [Fox execs] Dana [Walden] and Gary [Newman] for their enthusiastic support.”

Really, the only question now is which role in “Scream Queens” will go to Lea Michele.

As Taylor Swift shares more and more lyrics and singles from her upcoming record, 1989, there’s probably going to be tons more speculating as to who those songs are about. (coughHarryStylescough)

But before the haters can start wagging their tongues about Swift’s predilection for taking exes to task through song, the “Out Of The Woods” singer has something to say: Guys, you’re being more than a little sexist.

“I think frankly that’s a very sexist angle to take,” Swift said in a recent interview with regard to how she’s sometimes criticized for writing about past lovers. “No one says that about Ed Sheeran. No one says that about Bruno Mars. They’re all writing songs about their exes, their current girlfriends, their love life and no one raises a red flag there.”

The interview — which appeared on Australia’s “Jules, Merrick & Sophie” radio show — basically echoes what Swift says in “Shake It Off”: “I go on too many dates/ But I can’t make ‘em stay/ At least that’s what people say, mmm-mmm.” And, well, you know how the chorus goes.

Swift opined that she won’t be dropping her love life from her music any time soon, as her use of her real life as musical fodder is about artistic integrity more than anything else. That’s how she’s always written songs — even before she was famous.

In a press release today, Disney Animation revealed another piece of concept art from their upcoming musical “Moana,” which is partially based on ancient Polynesian folklore.

Here’s a look at the brand new Disney heroine, the titular Moana:

From the way Disney describes the movie in the release, it sounds like the studio is continuing its legacy of strong female characters leading its adventures.

“In the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey, she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.”

A fabled island? An incredible journey? The legendary demi-god Maui? I’m so in.

Plus, “Moana” is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, who worked on “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” and “The Princess and the Frog,” so they know a couple things about making amazing Disney movies.

“Moana” is scheduled to hit theaters in 2016.
