This ‘Walking Dead’ Parody Reveals The Real Zombies—Drunk People

by 35 mins ago

The truth is: zombies already live and walk among us. Sure, they might not be all putrid flesh and monotone-bleats of “Brains!” but they’re certainly no less scary in a “The Walking Dead” sort of way. Because really that’s what they are: meet “The Walking Drunk.”

Created by the YouTube folks over at Marca Blanca (they do a lot of video parodies that involve goats), “The Walking Drunk” lets us in on a little secret while simultaneously celebrating the fifth season of the AMC series: those shuffling mouth-breathers better known as zombies have already ingratiated themselves into the public sphere!

We just don’t always notice them because they’re usually toppled over or passed out in the grass from one too many Long Island Iced Teas. When they’re on the go? Positively frightful, but rarely are their movements documented so well.

A Pumpkin Festival Went So Horribly Wrong That It Turned Into An All-Night Riot

by 6 mins ago

In 2014, even an annual pumpkin festival can lead to police in riot gear.

That was the scene at the Keene Pumpkin Festival late Saturday night (October 18) and early Sunday morning as an estimated 4,000 students from the nearby Keene State College in New Hampshire, University of New Hampshire, the University of Rhode Island, and University of Massachusetts turned their celebration into a full-out riot.

The festival typically serves as a celebration of fall and a competition of sorts as locals try to set a world record for the largest number of pumpkins in one location (last year, festival goers set a record with 30,581 carved and lit jack-o-lantern pumpkins). However, that was not the case this year as thousands wreaked havoc throughout the night prompting aggressive reactions from local police to end the rioting.

Unlike recent protests from young people over democracy in Hong Kong or the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, the cause for this actual riot is still unclear.

“I watched cops roll in, I watched the fire department roll in, I watched state troopers roll in with their batons out, ready to take on the crowd,” said Julie Conlon, a 23-year-old graduate from the university, to the Boston Globe. “It was crazy.”

At least 30 people were injured and 14 were arrested as local police donned riot gear and used tear gas, canine units, tasers, ...

Listen To Chief Keef And Tyga Team Up For ‘Now And Later’

by 26 mins ago

By Andres Tardio

What happens when Tyga teams up with Chief Keef? “Now And Later” has the answer.

The catchy song, which can be heard below, features Keef in his comfort zone, complete with a hypnotic hook, auto tune and lines like, “Thot breaker…I’m a heart breaker / Now and later / Your b—-, I’m a take her.”

The track, which was produced by Da Brain, is set to be part of Keef’s Thot Breaker project, as referenced in the lyrics above. The Thot Breaker effort is scheduled to be released Valentine’s Day 2015, according to Almighty So’s Twitter page and this hashtag he came up with: #ThotBreakerValentines.

Chief Keef and Tyga made news earlier this year when Keef promoted Game and Tyga’s “Chiraq Remix,” which included Lil Durk disses. Durk would later say he felt Keef disrespected all of Chicago by siding with Game and Tyga in the feud. Cooler heads would eventually prevail and Durk and Keef would settle their differences.

Now, of course, there’s more where “Now And Later” came from. It looks like Keef and Big Sean have some music on the way, too.

Evan Rachel Wood Said She Was ‘Almost In Tears’ During That Iconic ‘Vanity Fair’ Photo Shoot

by 10 mins ago

If you were a teen in the year 2003, you probably purchased Vanity Fair‘s now-iconic Young Hollywood issue featuring stars such as Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff and the Olsen Twins. Another young cover star from the issue, actress Evan Rachel Wood, recently revealed her frustrations as a young teen during the photo shoot in a series of tweets to a fan.

Vanity Fair - Evan Rachel WoodMark Seliger/Vanity Fair

For Evan, the experience was less fun-filled slumber party with her besties and more of a wake-up call about the realities of the treatment of young women in Hollywood. Evan tweeted about the fashion choices (no pants!) and the vocal critiques of the young women’s appearances in front of each other.

Her criticism comes at an interesting time as more and more young women in Hollywood are facing scrutiny, responsibility and visibility. Candice Accola’s Wedding Was Basically A ‘Vampire Diaries’ Reunion

by 29 mins ago

It’s all too fitting that Candice Accola (better known as vampire Caroline Forbes to fans of “The Vampire Diaries”) gathered friends and family in New Orleans yesterday (October 18) to celebrate her marriage to The Fray’s Joe King. New Orleans has a storied history of vampire lore, after all – and it served as an incredible backdrop for a mini-reunion of her “Vampire Diaries” castmates.

Stefan Salvatore himself – Paul Wesley – attended, as did Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood), Claire Holt (Rebekah) and the show’s executive producer Julie Plec. The Elena-Damon whirlwind that is Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder sadly weren’t in attendance, but Somerhalder sent a sweet Instagram message from a set in Atlanta.

The actors shared their own personal New Orleans “Diaries” throughout their time in town – Wesley signaled his arrival with a video of locals performing…

Graham ogled some gator heads…

…and perhaps sampled a few, according to Trevino.

Holt snapped a shot with her dapper date…

…and Plec summed the evening up with one magic word.

The actress and guitarist first met in 2011, when Accola starred in The Fray’s music video for “Love Don’t Die.” The couple announced their engagement in May 2013, via Accola’s Instagram.

The Pizza-Eating Puppy In Disney’s New Short Film ‘Feast’ Is Your Actual Spirit Animal

by 2 mins ago

If you were to put a gun to our head and ask us what the two most important things in life are, we’d probably (understandably) panic, and say puppies and food. The trailer for Disney Animation’s latest short, “Feast” has both of those things in deliciously adorable spades.

If the style looks dreamy and lovely it’s likely because it came from first-time director Patrick Osborne, he was head of animation on the dreamily poignant and Oscar-winning “Paperman,” was in charge of the whole thing.

“Feast” follows a precious pooch named Winston, traversing the peaks and valleys of his owner’s love life as seen through the many meals the duo share — which sounds like primo territory for adorableness, cute overloads, and all of the feels. The short will play before “Big Hero 6″ showings starting when that film opens on November 7, 2014.

No YOU’RE the one tearing up right now at an animated puppy, get out of here!

‘Walking Dead’: What Will Happen When Rick Meets ‘Strangers’?

by 2 mins ago

Here’s what we know about tonight’s episode of “Walking Dead“: It’s called “Strangers,” it’s written by series creator Robert Kirkman, and it comes hot on the heels of one of the show’s very best episodes. No pressure!

With the Rick Grimes gang reunited and back on the road, there’s no telling where “Walking Dead” will go tonight. But we have some guesses about what we will (and won’t) see…

1. The group will meet this guy:

AMC

That’s Seth Gilliam of “The Wire” fame, joining fellow ex-Baltimoreans Chad Coleman (Tyreese) and Lawrence Gilliard Jr. (Bob) in the zombie apocalypse. On “The Walking Dead,” he plays Father Gabriel Stokes, a preacher man introduced right around this same point in the comic books. He’s… controversial.

2. The group will set their sites on Washington.
Abraham still has to fill Rick in on Eugene’s plan about how to utilize D.C. resources in stopping the zombie apocalypse. But once Rick has that information, the choice will be clear: Washington’s the next stop on this very bad road trip.

3. Michonne’s sword will remain MIA.

AMC

At least, Michonne herself won’t get her hands on her iconic weapon. A preview image for tonight’s episode (pictured above) shows Michonne walking with an automatic rifle in her hand, but no sign of the katana. It looks like Michonne’s sword will be among the many victims of Terminus. Unless…

4. Gareth has Michonne’s sword!
That would be one way to reintroduce Michonne’s blade back into the mix. There’s no way ...

Snapchat Just Started Doing Something They’ve Never Done Before

by 10 mins ago

The inevitable is here: Snapchat will now run ads.

You might have already noticed this over the weekend while you were sendings and receiving your best selfies, but the popular photo and video messaging app has made it official.

In a blog post on Friday, the company said, “It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this because it’s the first time we’ve been paid to put content in that space. It’s going to feel a little weird at first, but we’re taking the plunge.”

The first Snapchat advertisement is a 20-second video trailer for the upcoming board-game horror film “Ouija”, which opens October 24, just in time for Halloween. According to a report from Advertising Age, Universal Studios, which will release “Ouija,” edited the trailer so it would look like a “Snapchat Story.” In the future, ads will appear in users’ “Recent Updates” section and not in their active photo stream.

The company also thankfully made a note of letting users know that viewing the ad is entirely optional (at least for now). Just like the Stories feature (which allows users to compile a long series of photos and videos to share with all of their followers), Snapchat ads will disappear after ...

Russell Brand Almost Got Arrested For Filming His Web Series Outside Fox News

by 24 mins ago

Fox News host Sean Hannity and comedian Russell Brand are continuing their war of words – and it recently got quite heated.

The verbal kerfuffle began months ago when Brand took to his YouTube web series “The Trews” to criticize Hannity’s coverage of the Israel-Gaza conflict – Hannity’s response was to amass a three-person panel in response, calling Brand a “D-list actor” – to which Brand responded with yet another video critique.

Somewhere among all this contention, Hannity agreed to have Brand on his show to talk things out IRL – but he recently reneged the invitation. An angry Brand showed up at Fox News headquarters in New York City on Thursday to film an episode of “The Trews,” which summoned security. A guard asked him, “You want to get arrested?” but Brand didn’t back down – questioning who owns the property and eventually entering the building and attempting to leave a message for Hannity.

You can watch the drama unfold on the full webisode below. Brand is certianly industrious – we doubt this is the end of the duo’s fighting words, but we’d love to see them matched on an even playing field.

Joel Edgerton Describes The Real-Life Event That Inspired ‘Felony’

by 30 mins ago

With additional reporting by Josh Horowitz

In Joel Edgerton and Jai Courtney’s new thriller “Felony” – now in theaters – the two Aussies play cops with extremely varying levels of integrity. However, although some devastating events involving the police have taken front and center in the media as of late, Edgerton — who also wrote and produced the film — says that his inspiration was something much more personal.

“When I was a kid, I was in a department store — like a big Westfield — and I always saw anyone with a uniform, and I thought, ‘they’re just good people,’ ” Edgerton told MTV News. “Because they’re wearing a uniform, they have authority. I saw this security guard, [and thought] ‘oh, he’s a good person.’ ”

Then, as you may have guessed by now, things quickly took a sharp left turn.

“This woman walked by, and he turned to a security guard and he said something really lascivious about this woman,” Edgerton continued. “I was like, [gasps.] It didn’t make sense to me! It’s impossible, he’s a good person, he has to do everything right.”

Edgerton added that portraying men (and women) in uniform being “normal humans that make mistakes” was the driving force of the film, but he also told MTV News about a few other movies that served as his inspiration for “Felony.”

“Movies like ‘Cop Land’ [inspired 'Felony']… ‘Cop Land’ is a great movie,” Edgerton added. “[Movies] where you do get a look inside the police force, and you ...
