Marie Claire just released their October cover, which stars Ariana, looking decidedly grown-up—she looks more ready for a New Year’s Eve party at the ~clurrb~ than homeroom, y’know?

Marie Claire obviously knows that Arianators and the world at large are obsessed with her hair—it’s the first thing mentioned in the story’s coverlines.

Ariana credits her hair with helping people differentiate between actual, IRL Ariana Grande and Cat Valentine, the character she played on Nickelodeon for five years. Facing the end of his life, TV anchorman Dave Benton is determined to keep doing good work — and his optimism is inspiring viewers everywhere.

Benton, who has reported for the Champaign, Illinois TV station WCIA since 2005, went on the air on Sept. 11 to share a heartbreaking message with viewers.

“Basically, my cancer is back and it’s too big for surgery and radiation,” Benton revealed. “Doctors have told me that I may have four to six months to live.”

Benton shared that he plans to try a new treatment to slow down the cancer’s growth. But for now, the self-proclaimed born-again Christian says he believes he is “in God’s hands,” and is focused on treating the rest of his life as a gift.

“The goal here is to have a few more days and to make them the best that they can be in the life that I have,” Benton said.

The 51-year-old anchor also expressed his gratitude to his viewers, who he says have been supporting him for so long. “It’s not just really only about me,” he said, echoing the same sentiment online later with this tweet:

Benton, who has a wife, a daughter, and a son, is celebrating his nine-year anniversary at the news station this year, and says he is “dedicated to continue good work.”

The king and queen are no longer on the run.

Ever since June, power couple extraordinaire Beyoncé and Jay Z have been slaying crowds all over the world with their hyped-up “On the Run” stadium shows. But the tour officially wrapped last night in Paris, and it was one big, emotional love-fest.

Beyoncé got teary-eyed as she sweetly told her husband, “I’m your biggest fan. I love you so much. Give it up for Mr. Carter!”

*Pause for the emotions to sink in and the feels to be felt.*

Then Jay replied, “I wanna say it’s been an honor and a pleasure sharing the stage with you. I couldn’t dream for anything else to be in a stadium with the woman I love, who I believe is the greatest entertainer of our time. Make some noise for Beyoncé!”

Ugh, okay. We’ve officially lost it over these two — they’re too cute for words. Their sweet exchange totally gives us flashbacks of last month’s VMAs, where Beyoncé emotionally accepted the Video Vanguard Award from Jay and their 2-year-old princess, Blue Ivy.

And speaking of the heir to their throne, Jay revealed last night that Paris was the ideal spot to end their tour because the City of Love definitely lives up to its name. “We love Paris. It’s special to us because we got engaged here and this is where baby Blue was conceived,” he told the crowd, according to the AP.

Yesterday, reports began to surface that Kanye West had paused his show until everyone stood up—and mistakenly asked handicapped attendees to do so as well. But new footage of the show paints the events in a different light. While Kanye was eager to get fans on their feet and enjoy the show, he just went right back to the performing after he realized the fans were disabled.

The crowd initially boos and chants “stand up” along with Ye, but as soon as Kanye realized the fans were wheelchair-bound, he said it was totally fine and launched back into the song.

A source with ties to Kanye’s camp who was at the show said that the incident was blown out of proportion and pointed out that Kanye always asks for audience participation. He certainly has no malicious intent toward handicapped fans.

In fact, he recently took the time to give a disabled fan in Austin, Texas the mic he used while performing the show. Did that spread like wildfire to every outlet? Nope, most people probably didn’t even see that story.

Was it an awkward moment, yes, but the video definitely proves it wasn’t a malicious one.

Selena Gomez has brought back one of her hottest looks — a fringe-tastic ‘do, complete with soft, thick bangs — and it looks ahh-mazing!

The 22-year-old songstress debuted her new haircut on Instagram last night with this sultry selfie, simply captioned “Bangs.”

This isn’t the first time Sel has rocked bangs — she experimented with them back in 2012 — but the added fringe on this look is much sexier and edgier.

So why did Sel abandon her silky, straight locks in favor of her new ‘do? We have three plausible theories:

1) New York Fashion Week inspired her.

Selena stepped out in New York City last week for the Adidas NEO fashion show looking as gorgeous as ever. But we’re sure that being around all those edgy, high-brow fashion folk made Sel want to step up her style game and experiment with a makeover. The girl’s only human.

2) Autumn inspired her.

Selena’s new look is totally autumn-appropriate. We can definitely picture her cuddling up with a pumpkin spice latte and a huge knit scarf, tousling her tresses while she plots a new album. Hey, wishful thinking, right? (But seriously, Sel, we’re in withdrawal over here).

3) Justin inspired her.

Even though the “Slow Down” singer is branching out style-wise, she’s been spotted hanging out with her old crew. Recently, Taylor Swift paid a huge compliment to Kendrick Lamar. In a Rolling Stone cover story about the country-turned-popstar singer, she revealed that whenever she feels down, she listens to Lamar’s song “Backseat Freestyle” off his critically-acclaimed album Good Kid, M.A.A.D City.

The article ended with her putting on the song:

“You want to know a trick to immediately go from feeling victimized to feeling awesome?” she says. She pulls out her phone and hands me the earbuds: “This is my go-to.” She presses play, and Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” fills the speakers.

Obviously, everyone wanted to know what Kendrick thought of this news? He was thrilled.

“Some people always try to lock it down and categorize it for one particular listener,” Lamar told the AP when asked about the story at the ONE Musicfest in Atlanta on Saturday (September 13) night. “But it moves all, even people from other genres. I appreciate Taylor Swift for supporting not only my music but just the hip-hop culture. There’s really no gap. It’s music and it feels good.”

Hip-hop has definitely come to the forefront in the culture as of late, and Lamar is part of that movement. During his performance that night, he reflected on that growth.

“I remember when I used to perform in front of 200 people,” Kendrick said. “Now, it’s a sea of people. I’m glad to see the growth here. It speaks volumes about the hip-hop culture.”

In a bit of surreal (and ironic) news, Frank Ocean‘s absentee father has decided to make an appearance – in court.

Calvin Cooksey has just hit hip hop and fashion impresario Russell Simmons with an $142 million lawsuit for allegedly referring to Cooksey as a deadbeat dad on Simmons’ pop culture website, Global Grind. A quick search on the site, however, does not specifically name Cooksey.

According to TMZ, Cooksey – who hasn’t been in his Ocean’s life since he was five – also accused Ocean’s mother, Katonya Breaux Riley, of keeping a young Ocean away from him throughout his childhood.

Frank and his mother have always maintained a close relationship. When Frank opened up about his sexuality on a post on Tumblr, his mother referred to him as “the most incredible human I know. Honest true and loving,” on her twitter.

Cooksey believes the allegedly disparaging remarks have damaged his career (he describes himself as a singer, writer and inventor) and is suing for loss of future income.

During her stay in the United Arab Emirates for a recent stop in her artRAVE tour, the normally-stunting singer toned down her signature eye-catching style to rock a beautiful, lush and loose-fitting sapphire gown in the desert.

The singer performed on Wednesday (September 10) in Dubai and gushed about the opportunity:

Then, she took the next day to bask in the city’s natural beauty, and shared several beautiful images on Instagram with inspiring thoughts.

“The vast and beautiful unknown. We have no idea how small we are in this massive and beautiful universe,” she wrote. Gaga looked stunning, with her arms outstretched wide and bright hills of sand as far as the eye could see.

Her “smallness” in the world is an ironic idea for one of the biggest pop stars ever, but Gaga has never hesitated to share her personal journey of growth and reflection with her global little monsters.

Earlier, she shared her off-stage pursuits including hookah, henna and moonlight camel rides.

We’ve got our first glimpse at a very different side of Chris Evans – not that we’re complaining, because Chris Evans clearly doesn’t have a bad side – it’s just a little jarring to see the “Captain America” and “Avengers” actor decidedly lacking superhero decorum in the trailer for his upcoming film “Playing It Cool.”

Evans plays a pessimistic writer who doesn’t believe in love, until he meets a gorgeous – and very engaged – stranger (Michelle Monaghan). The plight to deny his overwhelming romantic urges involves friends and coworkers – a cast of hilarious characters played by Aubrey Plaza, Luke Wilson, Anthony Mackie and Topher Grace.

The tone of the anti-rom-com can best be summed up with Evans’ wryly-uttered line, “I’m willing to regret you for the rest of my life” – and we think the sentiment is as funny as it is refreshing. “Playing It Cool” doesn’t have an official release date yet, but we’re looking forward to being roundabout charmed by this one.

One “Orange is the New Black” writer has taken the show’s themes to heart. Literally.

Lauren Morelli recently filed for divorce from her husband of two years after penning Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex’s (Laura Prepon) relationship helped her realize she’s a lesbian. Through her writing, Morelli said, “I found a mouthpiece for my own desires and a glimmer of what my future could look like.”

The divorce, filed jointly, is said to be amicable. And the serendipity doesn’t stop at life imitating art on the page – Morelli found her next love right on set. She’s now dating Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey on the hit Netflix show.
