WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWW, Kiesha!!!!!!!!!! Gurrrrrrrlll, I’m seeing red!!!!!! I guess day 7 of NYFW is when the street style Kweens start giving up!!!! WHEEEEEWWWWW! Now church, you know I’m NEVER one to judge or hold resentment against the kids, but that being said, you also all know that I’m an out and proud corkaphobe (fear of tall women in cork heels who probably drink boxed wine)! I’m sorry, I’m sorry! The bible says, “Love the Kween, not the shoesware!” AMENTZ!!!!!!!! Lol, Kiesha, gurrllll I just don’t know how a kween could choose to live her life that way! ;) But in other news gurrrl, who doesn’t live for a sensible boring shondalafloral dress matched with a skinny belt cinched at the waist to furthermore prove just how much skinnier she is than everyone else?!!!! UGHHHHHHH!!!! #gurrrlllshesonthinicewithme #lookather #sheknowsittoo #corkheels #thedevilsgifttocankles #truth #howeverilivefortheclutch #nothingelse #shondalalame #Shehashadit

YAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS Kween, YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSS!!! Guuuuurrrrrll, I feel the same way!!! NYFW is grueling and exhausting and thank god it’s almost over Kiesha because my closet is a shondalamess, and I’ve practically maxed out several of my roommate’s dad’s credit cards (DON’T ASK KWEENS! DON’T ASK!) at H&M, Forever 21 and the Whole Foods salad bar! All in the name ...

Echosmith’s ‘Cool Kids’ Video Makes Us Happy To Be Weird

by 43 mins ago

Everyone knows that two is better than one — which is why it’s pretty rad that Echosmith has graced us with not just one video for their hit jam “Cool Kids,” but another as well.

Oh, and they also gave it to MTV exclusively today (September 11) for our premiering pleasure. Feeling special commences now.

Check out the dancey, slightly odd (fittingly) ode to anti-conformity below:

Remy Ma Remixes Bobby Shmurda’s Hit: Listen To ‘Hot B—h’

by 44 mins ago

Remy Ma has been out of jail for just over a month, and what better way to make her mark in the current music climate than by remixing one of the year’s most buzzed-about tracks? That’s exactly what Rem did on Thursday (September 11), with her take on Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot N—a.”

Aptly renamed “Hot B—h,” the Bronx rapper’s version finds her bouncing over the Jahlil Beats-produced banger with ease. She talks greasy for a while, and also kicks an impressive string of alliteration at one point. Plus, she brings up her recent bid.

“I just came home, I’m tryna get this shmoney, attempted shmurda was the case that they gave me,” she says as the track opens, before launching into her rhymes, referencing the recent six-plus bid she did behind bars.

It’s unclear if this is just a one-off giveaway or will be included on Remy’s upcoming mixtape, I’m Around, which she told MTV News is dropping soon, and will address what she’s gone through over the last few years.

“It’s kind of impossible, after being in prison for six-and-a-half-years, and being home for 19 days, to only talk about what I’m going through right now,” she told us last month. “It’s very hard not to bring up what I went through. Even though, in the future, I don’t want to keep dwelling on the past. I don’t want to dwell in the past now, but that was a large part of my life, so it has affected ...

David Beckham Loved This Jay Z Line So Much He Got It Tattooed

by 7 mins ago

When Beyonce and Jay Z took their On The Run tour to the Los Angeles Rose Bowl, they probably didn’t realize they would change the life of David Beckham forever. During the concert on August 2, Jay Z reportedly ad-libbed an encouraging line to the crowd: “Dream big, be unrealistic.”

Now, this might sound like a rather mundane line to the average concert-goer, but the adage seems to have hit home for both David and his wife Victoria, who tweeted the line shortly after, along with her admiration for the royal couple of music.

But David Beckham did more than post the lines on his personal micro-blogging account. Instead, he had them tattooed on his hand; the black, scripted letters will now serve as a constant reminder for the former soccer player whenever he glances down.

You can get a glimpse of it here, on the top of his right hand:

And here it is a little closer:

(The words are indecipherable at this range but you get the idea, placement-wise)

Considering Beckham already has an extensive collection of ink, what’s a little more? Especially in the name of dreaming big. Inking an uplifting phrase on your knuckles is one thing, but the words are facing away from his body, so they’re clearly meant for others to read. Anyone close enough to decipher a phrase on David Beckham’s hand, that is.

Personally, I’m waiting on Victoria to get ***FLAWLESS across ...

Chris Brown Says He And Drake ‘Can’t Walk Around Holding Grudges’

by 20 mins ago

(Chris Brown on his relationship with Drake)

With reporting by Sway Calloway

For a while, it seemed like Chris Brown and Drake would be on the outs forever — but if Nas and Jay made peace, they could do it too, right? The two hitmakers finally buried the hatchet this summer, then did the best thing possible: they hit the studio.

So far, we haven’t heard the product of those sessions, but CB tells MTV News that it’s coming soon, and they plan on working together “continuously.”

Breezy explained that he and Drake didn’t have a very formal conversation to patch things up — and, no, Rihanna didn’t come up. They simply acknowledged that it was time to leave their differences in the past. “We’re young, so it’s not like [we had] a pow wow over tea or nothing,” he told MTV News’ Sway Calloway on Thursday (September 11). “It didn’t need to be explained. It wasn’t no problem.”

After that initial photo of them in the studio surfaced, Brown took it a step further by appearing in Drake’s ESPYs skit, where they poked fun of themselves. “[Drake's] camp actually called me to do the skit. Especially after getting out of jail, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody,” he said.

“I wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up. I’m 25 and I’m not getting ...

Demi Lovato’s A Badass, Bangin’ Babe For ‘Fault’ Magazine’s Latest Issue

by 7 mins ago

Dang, dudes. Demi Lovato has been killin’ it as of late, and TBH, we can barely keep up! Last weekend, she kicked off her World Tour with the most badass onstage and behind-the-scenes wardrobe; this morning, Skechers released the first campaign images of Demi as the new face of the brand; and just now, we found out she’s doing two (!!!) covers for FAULT Magazine’s latest issue. Whew.

Demi LovatoGiuliano Bekor/FAULT Magazine

Demi pulled out ALL the stops for the Avo Yermagyan-styled shoot—especially the cover where her “boss bitch” ’tude is in full effect. I mean, what could be more awesome than a feathered smoky eye paired a leather cape and bold brows? Yeah, that’s what we thought. Nothing.

Demi LovatoGiuliano Bekor/FAULT Magazine

On the second cover, we get a closer look at her killer beauty game (is this the new cat eye?!) paired with a fur jacket and diamond studs. Me-ow.

Demi LovatoGiuliano Bekor/FAULT Magazine

In the spread, she talks about being a role model to younger fans and all the responsibility that comes with it. “I pride myself in being a role model, but I’m not perfect,” she said. “I curse like a sailor and I sometimes make mistakes, but at the same time I want to be what I know my little sister and that younger generation needs.” You are a QUEEN, Demi.

Was U2′s Apple Album Release A Good Idea? We Asked The Experts

by 26 mins ago

There have been a lot of snide remarks and general grumbling about U2′s latest record release, Songs Of Innocence — but most of that ire isn’t directed at the music itself. People are a little less than satisfied that the band released the record for free at Apple’s big product launch, sending the new tunes to everyone with an iTunes account without their consent. It was a bold move to be sure, one that won’t soon be forgotten by the iPhone-slinging set.

Still, that bold move, according to many musicians and music industry experts, was not a misstep or a mistake — or anything to be angry about, really. It was basically in-line with what musicians are facing in today’s chimera-like music industry — an attempted strike against falling music sales and market over-crowding. And it was, generally, pretty smart.

‘Getting Bums In Seats’

u2-sweetest-thing-o

First of all, all that free music will likely result in a whole lot of ticket sales for the band — an area that brings in a lot of cash for a lot of artists. Top 2013 moneymaker Taylor Swift, for example, made $30 million last year on tour, which accounted for most of her earnings for that year.

For some artists, the whole “no one makes money from selling records — it’s all about touring” thing is a tired refrain, but according to media analyst Mark Mulligan, that refrain was likely a factor here. The record, he ...

D.TT.K. Wants You To Wear A Suit Made Of Cork

by 38 mins ago

What would you call a fashion collection that takes the past’s vision of the future (i.e. the 1990s’ image of what the world would be like post-millennium) and turns it into clothes for the present? Inception? Meta? A little of both? Well, it’s actually called D.TT.K.‘s Spring/Summer 2015 collection. One of four designers shown at this season’s VFiles Made Fashion show, the newest offerings from D.TT.K. take that meta approach and spin it with additional inspiration from Japan’s bōsōzoku biker gangs.

On paper, it’s a strange combination of influences, but on the runway, it translates into forward-thinking motocross separates, paper-bagged pants, chest protectors as outerwear, and even a suit made of cork. As in cork.

Betsey Johnson’s NYFW Show Was A Love Letter To Marriage Equality

by 39 mins ago

Betsey Johnson’s Spring 2015 collection was a “love song to LGBT marriages.” The the show–entitled “Prenup”–featured every iteration of bride in a parade of taffeta and tulle in shades of white, metallics and pastel. Editors were sent packets of rice with their invitations.

Elaborating further on the collection’s theme, Johnson said:

“[It's] trendy and transgendy. Prenup is a part of the whole world of straight brides, gay brides, transgender marriages, everybody getting married. Finally, freedom. The clothes are my first shot at all kinds of brides. It’s been the most fun to work on this show. A lot of kind of new, more abstract ideas: see-through plastic dresses and dresses made out of scuba fabric and horse hair.”

The runway opened with SoulCycle’s Stacey Griffith in a white suit and black and white slip-ons, accompanied by a model in a clad in feathers and fringe. Both were matching “Prenup” necklaces.

Johnson, no stranger to reality television herself cast models from UPN, Bravo and LOGO including but not limited to: Real Housewives’ Cynthia Bailey, Kristen Taekman, and Camillle Grammer; America’s Next Top Model contestant and transgender model Isis King; and RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Sharon Needles and Willam Belli.
