If Star Wars Characters Existed IRL

by 1 min ago

Have you ever wondered how C3P0 goes to the bathroom? Or how Darth Vader cleans his cape? We took it upon ourselves to answer these pressing questions for you.

1. They get stopped at the airport

R2D2 at AirportKurt Woerpel

Even R2D2 has to take his shoes off at security.

2. They fill up on gas

Stormtrooper at Gas StationKurt Woerpel

It’d be pretty embarrassing if a Stormtrooper’s vehicle ran out of juice mid-Tatooine invasion.

3. They buy toilet paper

Yoda at Grocery StoreKurt Woerpel

Frustrating, trying to get to the top shelf is.

4. They clean up after their dogs

Jabba The Hutt Walking DogKurt Woerpel

If Jabba had a dog, I’m pretty sure it’d be a Saint Bernard.

5. They iron their clothes

Darth Vader IroningKurt Woerpel

Which is more than we can say for most people…

6. They relax with that paper

C3P0 appreciates his downtime just like anybody else.

Malia’s Style Has Come A Long Way On This Season Of ‘Teen Wolf’

by 4 mins ago

Season 4 of Teen Wolf is a wrap, y’all! Can you believe it? It feels like just yesterday I was telling you where to buy Malia’s American flag print shorts and now, all of a sudden, our faves from Beacon Hills won’t be in our lives every Monday for a while. Last night’s finale was full of Beserkers chaos, but, TBH, I couldn’t stop thinking about how quickly Malia’s style developed over the season.

When we spoke with costume designer Barbara Vasquez at the beginning of the season, she told us that Malia’s style was going to eventually start looking “a little more put together” than “thrown together,” and that evolution was obvious when you look back at the season.

When this season kicked off in Mexico, Malia was in a maroon shirt and printed shorts. Sure, she was raised in a coyote den, but she’s still patriotic–that counts for something, right?

Malia Hale, Teen WolfMTV

By episode six, she had learned of H&M and the beauty of $7 sweaters. It’s simple and surprisingly feminine–while I’m sure she just picked it up off of the top of her laundry pile, it looks, like, comfy and school-appropriate.

Not soon after, Malia was picking up style tips from Stiles (heh), and layering flannels over other shirts. I am, by the way, so into #Stalia. Sorry, haters.

Ray Rice’s Wife Defends Him, Blames Media For The ‘Nightmare’

by 3 mins ago

There’s been a ton of conversation surrounding former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, the attack on his then-fiancée Jenay and the NFL’s subsequent indefinite suspension, but now, a day after the brutal video of the beating hit the Internet, the victim has something to say.

“I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I’m mourning the death of my closest friend,” Jenay Rice wrote in a private Instagram post on Tuesday morning (September 9), ESPN reports. “But to have to accept the fact that it’s reality is a nightmare itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.”

On February 15, the 206-pound football star hit Jenay in the face in an elevator in an Atlantic City, New Jersey hotel. She fell unconscious and Rice attempted to drag his then-fiancée out of the elevator before he was stopped by security. The couple got married about a month after the incident.

In May, Rice entered a pretrial diversion program, which will allow him to avoid a formal prosecution if he attends the program for one year. If he completes the program, the aggravated assault charges will be dismissed, while the arrest will stay on his record.

The NFL originally suspended Rice for two games and fined him more than $500,000 in July, but yesterday, ...

The 7 Questions ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Must Answer In Its Final Season

by 5 mins ago

Tonight, “Sons of Anarchy” embarks on its last ride, kicking off the first episode of its seventh and final season. There’s a lot of business to handle before the members of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club – Redwood Original check out for good, and almost all of it looks to end in a blood-soaked barrage of merciless mayhem.

With hours to go before the premiere, here are the seven questions we need to see answered on the final season of “Sons of Anarchy.”

1. Can Jax Find Redemption?

The SAMCRO president is at the knife’s edge of disaster. His club is in peril. His wife is dead, and his mother is her murderer, although he doesn’t know it yet. The stage is set for a perfect storm of chaos. Can Jax steer away from the whirlwind, or will he destroy himself by riding head on into the vortex?

2. Who Will Feel Jax’s Wrath?

Aside from the obvious answer of “everyone.” There’s no doubt that Jax will be out for blood, seeking to avenge Tara’s death. But who will he target? Will he track down the wrong killer, and make things worse for his club, mirroring Tig’s decision to kill Damon Pope’s daughter and how it blew back on SAMCRO? Or will Jax find out that his mother was the woman behind the carving fork — and if so, how does he respond?

3. Can Gemma Survive?

Survival is sort of her super-power. No matter the conflict, no matter ...

‘Scandal’: Watch Olivia Commune With A Glass Of Red Wine In New Promo

by 5 mins ago

“Where in the world is Olivia Pope?” the title cards of this agonizingly short first look at the fourth season of “Scandal” asks.

Yes, the infamous Olivia (Kerry Washington) jetted off to parts unknown in the season three closer with Jake (Scott Foley) in tow (#teamjake, for the record). Unfortunately, those parts remain mostly unknown.

We see a stonefaced Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) dialing the phone and the ringtone echoing through the halls of Olivia’s apartment and the apparently shuttered Pope and Associates offices. No burner phone can save you this time, Mr. President.

All we know is Olivia is on a beach somewhere, drinking terribly seasonally-inappropriate (or at least geographically-inappropriate) red wine. That’s literally all we know: girlfriend is wearing sunglasses and drinking red wine. We assume she’s also wearing a flawless white one-piece, because Olivia even looks conspicuously fabulous even while going incognito, but Shonda Rhimes loves making us suffer and only gave us the briefest of 30 second glimpses. Guhhhhh.

“Scandal” returns September 25 at 9 p.m. with a season premiere entitled “Randy, Red, Superfreak and Julia.” ABC summarizes the episode thusly:

“Nearly two months after Olivia and Jake boarded a private jet to stand in the sun together, everything has changed. With another four years in the White House, Fitz and Cyrus are doing everything they can to make a positive impact on the nation. Meanwhile, Mellie struggles to cope with the loss of her son and the gladiators feel the impact of Olivia’s absence.”

Silent screaming. Can’t wait. Won’t ...

This LEGO Recreation Of The ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’ Is Incredible

by 10 mins ago

Every movie is a LEGO movie for members of Swebrick, an online cohort of Swedish LEGO enthusiasts — and when it comes to the results of their “Plast from the Past” competition to recreate iconic movie scenes out of LEGOs, everything is, truly, awesome.

As reported by The Daily Dot, the winner of the competition was user Etzel87, who built a perfect model of the scene from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” wherein Cameron’s father’s red convertible takes an accidental plunge through the window of its fancy lofted garage. Every detail is there, from the garage structure to the suspended car to the horrified faces of the film’s central trio. (Images via Etzel87′s Flickr account.)

A full roundup of all the entries has been posted on the Swebrick forum, where you can see LEGO reimaginings of everything from “Spaceballs” to “Blade Runner.” They’re all spectacular, but our favorite runner-up has to be this very creepy recreation of the famous hallway scene from Stanley Kubrick’s “The Shining.”

Fall Out Boy’s ‘Centuries’ Is Here And DAMN

by 15 mins ago

Um, did someone say they needed a pump-up jam? Anyone?

Well, whether you required one or not, Fall Out Boy has delivered the ultimate battle cry of a track this week: “Centuries,” a jam Pete Wentz calls “the story of David and Goliath. It is us passing along the story of how we feel right before we step on stage, trading feeling small and human for all the sweat and grit and sheer power of belief it takes to stare down a giant.”

Damn.

They also released a pretty intense Scantron-directed music video along with the jam that uses Instagram’s new Hyperlapse app to give a super-fast, super thorough tour of Chicago. An official video is also on the way.

After teasing the track via a cryptic Morse code last week, the band officially released the song — which samples Suzanne Vega’s 1990 hit “Tom’s Diner” — early this week. The tune marks the first single on the band’s upcoming as-yet-unnamed album on Island Records/DCD2 Records, due out next year.

“We never had a plan to jump right back into it after the whirlwind year we’ve had… but sometimes the song calls you,” Wentz said in a release. “We started writing ‘Centuries’ while we were on tour. Traveling the world for the last year we have seen, and been a part of, the landscape and fabric of music — from tiny sweaty clubs in Australia to insanely huge festivals in the UK. It felt impossible not to react to ...

Demi Lovato Exclusive: ‘I Am Working On A New Album’

by 46 mins ago

Demi Lovato is a busy woman. Between kicking off the Demi World Tour, launching her own skincare line and lending her vocals to Nick Jonas’ upcoming album, it’s no surprise more than a year has passed since the “Really Don’t Care” singer has released any new music of her own. I mean, when does she even find time to sleep? Seriously.

So when I caught up with the always-going singer earlier this summer, I asked the writing/recording question but was not expecting the following answer:

“I am working on a new album,” she told me (… and then I peed a little). “I think that I’ll be so extremely busy with the world tour it won’t come out for a while but I have started and have worked on some stuff that is really amazing and I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

RELATED: Demi Lovato Kicks Off Her ‘Next Level’ World Tour

While it might be sometime before we get to listen to her new material, the 22-year-old promised a “more organic” sound than we’ve heard from her in the past.

“That’s one of the most exciting parts about my entire life is creating music and listening to ...

Mark McNairy’s Vision Of Spring 2015 Is Travi$ Scott, Beer Hats, And Whatever

by 44 mins ago

Always a NYFW highlight, Mark McNairy put together yet another chill but entertaining show for Spring/Summer 2015. The master of irreverent prep enlisted Travi$ Scott to walk in his show on Sunday (Sept. 7), modeling pieces from his latest collection. According to the designer himself, this range was inspired by American soldier on R&R during the Vietnam War.

Daisy McNairyColin Douglas Gray

As has become custom, McNairy’s daughter Daisy walked in the show (here she is above in the “FILTHY MCNASTY” tee).

And appeared in homage on other garments, as well. (Now accepting bets on how soon we’ll be seeing this daisy print crewneck on Pharrell.)

Mark McNairyColin Douglas Gray

There were cowboy hats constructed from actual boxes of Cheerwine and Heineken. McNairy told us he sourced them from Beer Hats, which he saw in Salt Lake City and “flipped out.”

Also at the show? Six Woolrich Woolen Mills outfits that McNairy chose to show on women. Unisex dressing FTW, y’all.

On top of his staple camouflage and oxford plaids, the designer experimented with a bit of tie dye, splattering it on button-up shirts and the above short suit.

All in all, the collection, show, and its soundtrack—an expertly disjointed hodge podge of country, folk, and obscure crowd-pleasers like Liam Lynch’s “United States ...

Tonight Show ‘Family Feud’ Is The Best Idea Jimmy Fallon Has Ever Had

by 1 min ago

With Steve Harvey slated to make a “Tonight Show” appearance Monday, it was only natural that he bring his gig as the host of an entirely different show into the studio with him, facilitating a round of “Family Feud” between Jimmy Fallon, Jason Segel, and house band the Roots.

And by “only natural,” we mean, “so fantastic that we will never see its equal again, ever,” because Steve Harvey is a national treasure in this role. Between shaming the Roots for their gun show and putting Jimmy in his place (“I’m the host of this show!”), Harvey basically ensured that no other “Tonight Show” game will ever be this fun, or funny.

Also, the Roots are really good at “Family Feud.”
