‘Young Ones’ Trailer Has Elle Fanning, Nicholas Hoult, And The Drought Apocalypse

by 20 mins ago

Beware, you guys: the new trailer for “Young Ones” is going to make you thirsty, and not just because Nicholas Hoult is in it, strutting around with smudges of super-sexy apocalypse dust accentuating his cheekbones just so. The film, which screened at Cannes in May and is now slated for theatrical release in the fall, depicts the struggle of future humans trying to live in the parched desolation of an endless drought.

Nicholas Hoult stars as a young man trying to take the land of a struggling family, a family which includes a daughter (Elle Fanning) with whom he is apparently in love with… Which is bound to make things awkward. Also, robots!

Billed as a dystopian Western, “Young Ones” promises to spice up its shootouts with some neat sci-fi twists; we’re particularly curious about the part where Elle appears trailing a bunch of surgically-attached (?) wires from some kind of port in her spine.

“Young Ones” will be in theaters this October.

Listen To Scarface’s Sinister New Single, ‘The Exit Plan’

by 35 mins ago

By Maurice Bobb

Mr. Scarface is back.

Three months after the legendary Geto Boy ended a substantial musical drought with “No Problem,” he’s back with a new single, “The Exit Plan.”

Buoyed by a sinister Cardiak-produced beat, the sage poet from Houston dispenses street wisdom from an OG perspective.

“And broke motherf–kas make the best crooks, every n—a in the way gettin’ shook/ You got to play the game by the book, or f–k around and your life gettin’ took,” he raps.

Riding shotgun with ‘Face is the prolific hook man Akon, who delivers his signature falsetto between verses.

“Cause I ain’t never change on you motherf–kas/ An OG spittin’ game on you motherf–kas/ You should be ashamed like a motherf–ka,” he croons.

“The Exit Plan” will likely end up on Scarface’s upcoming LP, Deeply Rooted.

Boyz II Men Have A Song About Pretzel Buns, And It’s Delightful

by 18 mins ago

By Maurice Bobb

Now that’s better.

Wendy’s and Boyz II Men officially won the Internet Thursday (July 10)—and it’s not even close.

In an ingenious marketing move, the fast food chain tapped the harmonizing “Motownphilly” triumvirate to sing a song about the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger — one composed entirely of tweets sent by avid fans of the previously discontinued menu item.

The spot begins with Nathan Morris using his bedroom voice for the opening salvo, “Boyz II Men turning tweets into love songs for @Wendys…I’m just sayin.”

Backed by hilarious graphics and fueled by nom-nom-erific tweets, the Men croon their way through a litany of comments like, “Wanna hi-five myself,” “Pretzel OMG so good,” “Can my New Year’s kiss be with a pretzel burger?” and “Can you keep the pretzel bun FOREVER?”

140 characters never sounded so good.

Kesha Reveals A ‘Dirty Little Secret’ About Her Bad-Girl Image In Elle U.K.

by 3 mins ago

In the months since she entered rehab to treat bulimia, Kesha‘s gone through a decidedly drastic transformation. She dropped the dollar sign, she changed her Twitter handle from to the self-deprecating @keshasuxx to @kesharose, and her recent Teen Vogue cover was shocking for how unshocking it was.

And in what seems to be an effort to fully scrap that Jack Daniels-swigging image, she’s opening up about who she really is in a sober essay in Elle U.K..

“Sure, I’ve written songs about partying, but my dirty little secret is that I’m actually incredibly responsible. I take my music and career very seriously, and certainly didn’t land in this situation from partying,” she wrote. “But I was cut off from the outside world and I imagined people making up stories at a time when what I really needed was support.”

In the essay, a copy of which can be found on ATRL, Kesha Sebert remembers the cold day in January that her mom drove her to Timberline Knolls, the tribulations that brought her there, and how her two-month “alone time” made her more comfortable with who she really is.

“I’ve always tried to be a crusader for loving yourself, but I’d been finding it harder and harder to do personally,” she wrote of her eating disorder, which escalated after a particularly busy 2013. “I felt like part of my job was to be as skinny as possible, and to make that happen, I had been ...

‘Fast & Furious 7′ Completes Production With Heartfelt Facebook Message To Fans

by 22 mins ago

The cast and crew of “Fast & Furious 7″ have had a tougher production than they ever could have imagined, and in a bitter sweet Facebook message, they have announced its completion.

“Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7,” the post reads. “We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it’s because of you that we got here. There was a time when we didn’t know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.”

The entire post is a gracious “thank you” to the many fans of the “Fast & Furious” series, as well as to all of the people who worked on the franchise’s seventh installment.

The passing of Paul Walker was obviously a driving force behind the post, but the message only made brief mention of the star, who died in a car crash last year. “Our family is big and strong but it won’t ever quite be whole again without Paul,” it said. “All of us — those who’ve been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 — wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.”

“Fast & Furious ...

This Is What Would Happen If We All Faked Injuries Like In The World Cup

by 1 min ago

There are no better actors than soccer players. Just flick on the 2014 World Cup, and you’ll see players falling all over the place, whether they were provoked or not.

Touch someone with a pinky? They have a bloody nose. Brush against them while running after the ball? Sprained ankle, of course. They’ll do anything for a foul on the other team.

Watch how this brilliant video shows how those scenes would play out in ordinary life — in slow motion.

Don’t you dare tap someone at the grocery store…

And for your viewing pleasure, a montage of soccer players faking injuries.

Lucy Hale Was ‘Crushing So Hard’ On A ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Castmate

by 1 min ago

Lucy Hale is keeping a pretty big secret.

The “Pretty Little Liars” star just released her second single, “Lie a Little Better,” off her debut album, Road Between. And the uptempo country track is all about trying to keep a crush a secret, a topic Lucy is all too familiar with since the song is actually about someone she used to work with on “PLL.”

While she’s still not willing to name names, Hale told MTV News the tune “hits extremely close to home.”

“In life, in general I’m not one to fall to pieces over a guy or give up anything; I’m very headstrong. I’m very focused on what I do and very independent, but there was this certain guy that I was acting like an idiot around,” Hale admitted. “I was fumbling over my words, I was stuttering, I couldn’t focus, I couldn’t look him in the eye. I was just crushing so hard on him,” she added. “So it’s just kind of a funny way to say that sometimes you just have to cover it up, sometimes you have to lie a little better.”

The crush was about two years ago and “that ship has sailed,” as Hale put it, but she totally gets points for being able to keep her lips sealed because that special guy still doesn’t know the song is about him. The “PLL” star joked that could change on one condition: “If the song does really well, maybe I’ll tell him.”

The track ...
