The intersection of hip-hop and rock ‘n’ roll was captured in one epic photograph backstage at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark last week.

In the unexpectedly double-tap worthy selfie, The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger is flanked by Andre 3000 and Big Boi of the recently reunited rap group Outkast.

Oh, and someone photobombs the whole thing.

The legendary rocker and rappers were both on hand to headline a week-long series of performances at the festival.

The queen of the animals herself, Kesha, has started a cult. But it’s not just any old regular cult — it’s a Cat Cult.

There’s just one catch. In an interview with E! News, K-Dollar reveals the rather unpalatable initiation process.

“You have to eat a little bit of glitter. It’s mixed in with cat litter. It’s part of the process,” the “Rising Star” mentor says. “People can be in it if they like to be cats or play with cats or play with cat toys.

A cult leader like Kesha should command a dedicated and high-profile following, and we know exactly who she and Mr. Peeps need on their team:

1. Katy Perry and Kitty Purry
It’s probably safe to bet the “Birthday” singer has (accidentally or not) ingested her fair share of glitter during the Pristmatic World Tour, and, I mean, changing litter boxes can be tricky. Katy and her furry companion are basically members already.

2. Taylor Swift, Meredith and Olivia
Does anyone love cats more than this girl? Even my mom knows who Meredith is. And Olivia (Benson) is named after the best character in the history of television, so she gets 1,000 points just for her namesake.

3. Miley Cyrus and her Sad Cat Tattoo
Kesha said nothing about owning a cat, and clearly having a kitty forever inked onto your body shows a serious level of cat appreciation. Also, she made out with Katy ...

Good thing Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are BFFs, because the “22 Jump Street” duo are linking up again for Universal’s “Hail, Caesar!”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hill is in negotiations to join the Joel and Ethan Coen-directed comedy about Eddie Mannix, a fixer for the Hollywood studios in the 1950s.

In addition to Tatum, the two-time Oscar nominee will be joining a cast that already fields an all-star cast of Josh Brolin, Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton and George Clooney.

Like Hill, Scarlett Johansson is in early talks to join the star-studded project.

The Coen Brothers are also slated to produce the movie with Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan.

“Hail, Caesar!” is set to go into production this fall.

Jessie J has managed to get two of the biggest ladies in music — reigning pop diva and Mariah Carey mini me Ariana Grande and hip-hop queen Nicki Minaj — on one track, a musical ménage à trois that is bound to be bleeding girl power.

Due to the sheer diva of it all, “Bang Bang” is already being compared to Pink’s 2001 cover of “Lady Marmalade” with Christina Aguilera, Lil Kim and Mya. And when the “Domino” singer shared a snippet on Wednesday (July 9), it became clear that at the very least, it will inherit the ferocity of the Grammy-winning “Marmalade.”

Only Jessie is heard in the short snippet, clip, singing, “She got a body like an hourglass/ I can give it to you all the time/ She got a booty like a Cadillac/ But I can send you into overdrive.”

We’ll have to wait until July 29, when the official audio drops, to hear this one in full.

This November, prepare for the epic, totally unforeseen sequel to the “Iron Man” saga, “Iron Baby.”

Just kidding.

But Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan are expecting their first daughter. “Um. I don’t know if it’s a ‘man’s world,’ but I’m certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday (July 9).

The actor also took an even shorter approach on Twitter, quipping “Yo. Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?”

You do know you get an entire 120 characters on that platform, right Bobby?

The couple have one son together, 2-year-old Exton. He also has one son, 20-year-old Indio, from his first marriage.

To the man/woman/robot who hacked Chris Colfer’s Twitter account last week and had the Internet hyperventilating: You’re officially in the doghouse.

Sure, he held back in addressing the incident on social media — seemingly laughing it off in an exchange with co-star and fellow hackee Lea Michele — but he’s got quite a few words for whoever it was that falsely announced that he’d been fired from “Glee.” He’s just too classy to say them out loud.

In an interview with MTV News while promoting his upcoming book, The Land of Stories, the “Glee” actor addressed the incident head-on.

“I couldn’t say that out loud,” he said of the message he has for the hacker. “I couldn’t say that unless there was a bleep.”

The worst part of it all, he said, was that he was thrown into headlines when he usually does everything he can to stay out of them.

“It really upset me just because I — probably more so than it should have — because I try to stay out of headlines as much as possible, unless I’m promoting a project that I’ve worked really hard on, so the fact that something like that is probably what I’ll be known for the most, that kid from ‘Glee’ who got hacked. You know, that’s really upsetting,” he said. “It’s upsetting when you’re forced into headlines like that. You know, you have nothing to do with it.”

So, the question remains: Who was said man/woman/robot?

“A million ...

Though it’s been random pictures of acting duos that have dominated the speculation around “True Detective” season two, the question of who will direct the next story from creator Nic Pizzolatto is equally interesting.

What we’ve heard from Pizzolatto suggests that because of a tight production schedule a single director won’t be able to helm every episode, like Cary Fukunaga did for the story of Rust Cohle and Marty Hart. So if we’re looking at a team of filmmakers for season two, does that mean it can still attract the A-list talent everyone is expecting?

Read how they pulled off season one’s incredible long take.

Well, it sounds like the answer to that question is “yes,” because William Friedkin, the director of “The Exorcist” and “The French Connection,” has met with Pizzolatto about possibly working on season two.

The Playlist spoke with the Oscar winner at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival — where season one of “True Detective” is screening, coincidentally — and Friedkin shared his admiration for Pizzolatto’s voice and revealed that he’s met with the writer.

“I am considering it,” Friedkin said about season two. “I like [Pizzolatto] very much. I’ve met him, and he’s the real deal as far as I’m concerned. Now, all the new seasons are different so I’m not committed. This new season has nothing to do with the last one. Except for him and his sensibility, which I think is extraordinary.”

Friedkin was careful to clarify that he hasn’t committed to anything ...

Today (July 9) marks the 15th anniversary of the now-classic teen sex comedy “American Pie.” A lot has changed in the last 15 years, and this video of Beyoncé interviewing newcomer Jason Biggs for MTV on the carpet of the 2000 MTV Movie Awards is probably the best example of that.

First of all, yes, Jason Biggs and Beyoncé interacted, and she was the one interviewing him. Second, while Jason Biggs still has a young-looking mug in “Orange is the New Black,” it’s pretty amazing how he’s pretty much baby-faced here. (Note on things that don’t change — Beyoncé is basically ageless.)

The interview itself is a lot of fun, with Beyoncé getting in her own version of “This one time, at band camp.” Also, Jason Biggs can now count himself as someone Beyoncé said looked sexy, which means he should be eternally happy.

So check out the video, celebrate 15 years of “American Pie,” and try to remember a strange, scary world where Beyoncé co-hosted an MTV Movie Award red carpet … with Sisqo. Remember Sisqo? Oh the times, they’ve a-changed.

From the outside, Chris Colfer’s life might seem like a fairytale. He stars in the hit show “Glee,” has a best-selling book trilogy and is beloved by an army of adoring fans. But when MTV News caught up with the 24-year-old while he was promoting the third installment from his Land of Stories series, he explained his world is far from picture perfect.

“I remember when ‘Glee’ first started I would state the facts that I was a kid in Clovis, [California] who went to an audition and got this job and I was painted as this Cinderella person and, you know, of course, what they didn’t see was the years of cyber bullying I went through and the people that are really just viscous online because someone else has an opportunity and that wasn’t fun at all,” he said. “And I was like, this is such good material for Cinderella to kind of take a spin on it.”

The star describes his third book, A Grimm Warning, as “an action-packed mystery historical thriller” in which he begs fans not to read a single page out of order.

“There are so many twists and turns I wouldn’t want anything to be ruined,” Colfer exclaimed. “It’s a story about an army from the past coming to the present and trying to conquer the fairytale world in the name of the French empire so it has a lot of twists.”

Hot-damn, is it sweltering out there! As temperatures reach summer peaks, we need a little breather — a dip in the pool, a chill-sesh in front of the AC, a cold shower… anything! And since Becky G seemed to have the whole “chill” thing handled when she dropped her “Shower” video last week, we’d thought we’d help you kick back and cool off with these suave GIFs from the clip.

Becky G’s “Shower” tips for staying cool:

First, push away anyone that might be smothering you.

Practice your backstroke.

Extinguish an unneeded heat sources.

Take a cold shower. (And sing about your crush while doing it.)

Wear your hair up with a floral wrap. (Tasty sausage optional.)

Host a splashy pool party.

Conserve energy by floating. It’s better with friends.

Do all necessary dancing at night.
