Here’s Why Amy Adams Is The Classiest First Class Passenger

by 3 mins ago

Amy Adams is making headlines this weekend, but it’s not for one of her movies. Instead, the actress is in the spotlight for giving up her first class seat on a plane to a soldier sitting in coach. The actress privately requested the change be made, but Jemele Hill, co-host of ESPN2′s “Numbers Never Lie,” was also on board and tweeted about Adams’ generosity.

Adams was traveling from Detroit to Los Angeles, and despite her best efforts to keep the sweat swap private, she was met by reporters upon landing.

“I didn’t do it for attention for myself I did it for attention for the troops,” she said to an Inside Edition reporter. The actress was raised in a military home, but this act of respect is just another reason to love her.

45 Years Ago, An LGBT Movement Was Born: Why The Stonewall Riots Matter

by 6 mins ago

Forty-five years ago today, in a small tavern in New York City, history was made. An event that would spark a movement that would change history and help millions of people.

In 2014, marriage equality is sweeping the nation, gay men and women can proudly and openly serve their country and the younger generation is leading the charge.

All isn’t perfect of course as just 19 states have full marriage equality, and Congress has yet to take action on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would prohibit discrimination against employees based on sexual-orientation or gender identity.

But as the LGBT community and their allies continue the fight for full equality, today is a cause to look back on the watershed moment that helped pave the road to where we are today.

There was a time when LGBT people were forced to hide in the shadows, their way of life criminalized – marriage wasn’t even a consideration. Police would raid gay bars (if they weren’t getting paid off by the owners) and arrest people on the spot if they didn’t have identification, or if they were in drag.

But in 1969 with the biggest moment in the history of the LGBT Civil Rights Movement: the Stonewall Riots in New York City.

On Saturday, June 28 police raided the Stone Wall Inn in New York City’s Greenwich Village. This was routine at the time, but this raid would be like no other before. As police they were lining bar-goers up for inspection, all ...

Kesha Opens Up About Going Into Rehab For An Eating Disorder

by 32 mins ago

Kesha is finally ready to talk about it.

The singer opened up to Teen Vogue about her decision to cancel her spring tour and check into a Chicago-area rehab facility for an eating disorder last January.

“My whole message is to love who you are and accept all your beautiful imperfections,” she told the magazine. “When I felt I was slipping into unloving territory with myself, I knew I had to listen to my own advice and correct it.” Kesha also cited working in an industry with intense paparazzi and body image scrutiny as factors in her disorder.

She describes going through a breakdown, but then having a breakthrough that ultimately saved her life when she entered rehab. During those two months she not only battled her disorder, but she also made strides musically, writing 14 new songs during the period of recovery.

She says the process made her stronger, allowing her to “take my life by the horns and make a record that I’m going to be proud of and not care what anybody else thinks!”

In March Kesha was already beginning to feel better, thanking her fans for their encouragement and working on new music.

While continuing work on her own music, Kesha currently joins Ludacris and Brad Paisley as judges on the live singing competition “Rising Star.”

Watch The ‘Transformers’ Cast React To Air Conditioning On A Hot Red Carpet

by 3 mins ago

Like the movie itself, the press tour for “Transformers: Age of Extinction” has taken the cast around the world, from Hong Kong back to the United States, and it’s been a long journey of red carpets, questions and photo ops.

It’s also been really hot for most of the tour. The premiere in Hong Kong suffered from high temperatures and rain, so by the time Mark Wahlberg and the rest of the cast got to NYC, they were ready for some AC.

Luckily, I was placed right in front of the air conditioner at the New York premiere, and as you can see in the video below, everyone was really excited to talk to me.

“Transformers: Age of Extinction” is in theaters now.

Did Justin Bieber Post Some New Music On His Instagram Last Night?

by 15 mins ago

It seems like Justin Bieber never stops working. While most of us would be relaxing and having fun on a typical Friday night, instead, it looks like Bieber was focused on perfecting dance moves to a brand new song! The singer shared two clips of himself flanked by two backup dancers breaking it down to snippets of electronic, auto-tuned pop.

Nice moves, Justin.

The singer has been branching off musically in a lot of ways lately, and from the sounds of it this new song will have some huge EDM overtones. Bieber’s rehearsal outfit is flawless too— a light grey sweatsuit with hashtags on the front legs of his sweatpants.

We’re going to take that as a subtle shout out to Twitter and all the #Beliebers. Plus, this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “hashtag sweatpants.”

Maybe Justin will drop this new track soon and give us a huge new song of the summer.

After ‘Age Of Extinction,’ Where Should ‘Transformers’ Go Next?

by 16 mins ago

WARNING: Spoilers for “Transformers: Age of Extinction” are ahead.

“So, Optimus. Where are you going?”

That’s a legitimate question the audience might be asking after the end of “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” The film ends with Optimus Prime blasting off into outer space to seek out “the Creators” who wanted him so badly, they hired a killer bounty hunter to track him down.

With Prime moving on from Earth, it’s worth wondering where the “Transformers” series goes now that it’s off our planet. Where should Prime head next? Here are seven of our picks for the “Transformers” series’ next ideal destination:

Cybertron
We’ve seen Optimus and Megatron slug it out all over Earth. What about their home world? Sure, we’ve seen bits and pieces of Cybertron over the years, but why not spend an entire movie there? If human characters need to enter the mix, then bring Cade Yeager or Sam Witwicky or whoever along to Cybertron, and fill out the rest of the cast with nothing but Transformers. It’s time to see the ‘bots on their own turf.

Quintessa
Prime wants to meet his maker. Well, that would bring him directly on the path of the Quintessons, known in “Transformers” lore for creating the Transformers. These robots feature five faces with unique personalities, and they’re known for handing out harsh and swift judgment. Sounds like the exact type of creature that needs a Prime-powered punch to the mouth.

Unicron
If you don’t know Unicron, get acquainted. He’s the big bad motherfrakker of the “Transformers” ...

50 Cent Really Wants To Be In A Marvel Superhero Movie

by 13 mins ago

Sounds like 50 Cent wants art to imitate life. Or movies to imitate music, at least.

That’s because Fif wants to play a “bad guy” in an upcoming Marvel superhero film, but “the kind you start to like,” he told MTV News recently, giving a bit of a description of his musical career, as well.

“Because we all have a streak of a rebel in us, so you find yourself rooting for the bad guy at some point,” he said. “The Joker was that in ‘Batman.’”

Beyond that, he wants to play himself — in “Star Wars.” “There’s so many good roles to play in ‘Star Wars,’ they can just let me walk by in the back,” he joked.

50 also spoke on his work shooting “Spy,” which stars Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham, as well as his role in producing an upcoming movie on B.M.F.

Those projects are all a little ways down the line. What’s not, though, is “The Prince,” which the Queens rapper is appearing in alongside Bruce Willis, Jason Patric and John Cusack. A trailer for the film, which hits theaters on August 22, was released on Friday (June 27).

Hopefully we’ll see 50 get his wish about that bad guy role soon.

A 15-Year-Old Rapper Just Got A Huge Record Deal

by 9 mins ago

Two years ago, on his rather biting five-minute-long freestyle “80 Bars,” Chris Miles opened spitting, “I’ve been dreaming bout a deal since the age 13 / Nah, nah / I’m about to get a deal at the age of 13.”

A record deal sounds like an audacious goal for someone still in middle school, but now, less than two years later, he’s gotten one — and it’s reportedly huge.

The 15-year-old from — as his official Twitter pronounces it — “New Yawk” has signed a deal with Warner/Chappell that TMZ reports could end up making him upward of $1.5 million, plus royalties. The deal will reportedly allow him to write and rap on as many as five albums — and guarantees him an advance of just over $180,000 for his first album.

He first gained popularity when his “America’s Got Talent” audition — of him rapping his track “Dialtone” — went viral. But he’s maintained that his new music — which fans should expect this summer — is far more “insane” like “Andrew Wiggins,” which Miles released in March.
