Shia LaBeouf Handcuffed, Escorted Out Of Broadway Show

by 16 mins ago

Shia LaBeouf was reportedly handcuffed and escorted out of the Broadway show “Cabaret” on Thursday night (June 26).

According to ABC News, the 28-year-old actor was smoking and “engaging in other disruptive behavior.” He is reportedly being held by police but has not been formally charged.

This is just the latest in a string of troubles for the “Nymphomaniac” actor.

LaBeouf claimed he was retiring from public life after he was repeatedly accused of plagiarism late last year. Right around the time of that “retirement,” in January, he was videotaped getting into a bar fight in London after a man said something offensive to his girlfriend’s mother.

Courteney Cox Engaged To Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid

by 14 mins ago

Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid are engaged, and Ed Sheeran is the one to thank for it.

After the “Friends” alum was spotted with a rock on that finger, the couple took to Twitter on Thursday (June 26) to confirm that they are, in fact, about to say “I do.”

Sheeran used to be roommates with McDaid, and introduced him to Cox last year. The two were reportedly first seen together at “Friends” costar Jennifer Aniston’s holiday party.

“I wasn’t allowed to talk about this, actually, but it’s just gone public so… My housemate [Johnny], who I have lived with for a year, I introduced him to Courteney and they started dating – now they’re crazy about each other,” the “Lego House” singer told OMG! last year. “I ended up spending a lot of time living in her beach house and therefore bumping into all these random people. We spent Thanksgiving eve at Jennifer’s before spending the day at Courteney’s.”

Daylyt Has Not Officially Signed With Shady Records

by 5 mins ago

It’s been a busy week for Los Angeles-based rapper Daylyt.

First, there was his appearance on Ab-Soul’s album, These Days…, which he closes with an a cappella battle against the T.D.E. MC on the track “W.R.O.H.” That same day, Day posted a video where he spoke on moving away from battle rapping and signing to Shady Records.

“Big shouts out to Eminem for making that legit,” he says toward the end of the video. “Daylyt is an official member of Shady Records.”

However, while praising the rapper’s skill, a source at Shady has told MTV News that he has not inked a deal with the label.

“Daylyt is immensely talented and is cool with everyone up here but is not signed to Shady. #totalslaughter,” the source said.

That said, Daylyt is Shady-affiliated in some ways. He’s featured on “The Road to Total Slaughter,” Slaughterhouse’s recently-launched reality show that features eight battle rappers.

“We’re gonna put those eight guys in a house, they’re gonna live with each other for a week and you’re gonna be able to see them prepare for it as well,” Joe Budden said on “RapFix Live” in January.

“It’s giving these guys a platform that they didn’t have before,” Royce added. “Everybody knows they’re great if you follow them, so the goal is to put not only them, but battle rap itself, on this platform.”

9 Times Logo TV’s ‘Trailblazers’ Special Made Us Think — And Cry

by 5 mins ago

We just finished watching Logo’s “Trailblazers” — a pioneering event to honor the luminaries who’ve made historic strides for LGBT equality — and the night could not have been more inspiring, thought-provoking, or emotional.

Held at The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, one of the first churches to host gay marriages in New York, “Trailblazers” honored celebrities, politicians, activists, and trendsetters who’ve championed the cause of gay rights, and, above all else equal rights.

“Trailblazers” couldn’t have come at a better time — the night aligned with the one-year anniversary of DOMA (Defense Of Marriage Act) being struck down by the Supreme Court, the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the rise of marriage equality in the U.S. (nearly half of the states have passed laws legalizing some form of same-sex marriage).

With guests like Demi Lovato, Pete Wentz, Jared Leto and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis — and performances from A Great Big World and Sia — it was certainly a night that will go down in the history books.

Check out the nine most emotional — and thought-provoking — highlights from Logo TV’s “Trailblazers” special below:

1). Couples Giving Love To Edie Windsor

One year ago, the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) was struck down by the Supreme Court — in no small part due to Edie Windsor and her late spouse Thea Spyer. After Spyer died, she left her estate to Windsor, but because of DOMA, Edie was unable to claim the ...

Hear A Preview Of Chris Brown’s ‘New Flame’ With Rick Ross And Usher

by 5 mins ago

Chris Brown’s “Loyal” is still torching airwaves, but it looks like Breezy is ready to hit us with more heat as he prepares to drop his album X later this year.

On Thursday (June 26), Breezy posted an Instagram video of what appears to be an upcoming single. The track, called “New Flame,” features Rick Ross and Usher, according to the artwork.

“You gon’ be my baby, love me, love you crazy/ Tell me if you with it, baby come and get it/ Try a new thing, and let’s spark a new flame,” Brown sings in the brief audio clip. Usher sounds poised to jump in, but the snippet cuts out. We’ll have to wait for the full version to hear his and Rozay’s part.

We’ve been anticipating X for a while, and don’t know exactly when we’ll get it, but we may get another collaboration between Breezy and Ty Dolla $ign, who wrote “Loyal.”

“After ['Loyal'], that’s when we linked up, and we just started doing a whole bunch of sh–,” Ty told MTV News earlier this month, adding that they’ve got “a lot” on the way. “I’m featured on it; other sh– that’s for him — everything.”

Like we’ve said before…how ’bout dropping that album, CB?

Rapper Ra Diggs Found Guilty Of Three Murders

by 8 mins ago

By Maurice Bobb

Rapper Ra Diggs, born Ronald Herron, was found guilty of three counts of murder in Federal District Court in Brooklyn on Thursday (June 26).

Diggs, known as a “YouTube rapper,” was found guilty in all 21 counts he faced, which — in addition to the murders of three rival drug dealers — also included racketeering and drug trafficking, The New York Times is reporting. He will be sentenced by Judge Nicholas Garaufis on October 1.

Diggs’ case was an unusual one because prosecutors used his rap lyrics and YouTube videos as evidence against him during trial. The lyrics in question featured him boasting that he was a high-ranking member of the Bloods that beat a murder case. Additionally, he bragged about retaliating against his rivals.

But the defense not only insisted that those lyrics were constitutionally protected by free speech, but Uncle Murda testified saying that the “Live By The Gun” MC only boasted about guns and drugs in his music as instruments of fiction.

Diggs himself insisted that his rhymes were exaggerated accounts of violence, but the jury rejected his defense that they didn’t reflect his real life.

According to the NY Daily News, Herron remained stoic while the jury’s foreman pronounced him guilty.

Listen To Usher And Juicy J’s ‘I Don’t Mind,’ A Song For The Strippers

by 59 mins ago

By Maurice Bobb

Usher‘s got love on his new single, “I Don’t Mind.”

The Atlanta singer jumps on a hand clap-laced uptempo beat with reassuring words for a special lady who works the pole.

“Shawty, I don’t mind if you dance on a pole that don’t make you a hoe,” he sings before jumping into the all-about-the-money chorus.

His collaborator, Juicy J, is the perfect assist man for the track, as he draws on his penchant for stripper anthems with the line, “Lap dance for the first date, Bet I throw a few bands that’s third base/Is ok if you work late we can still party hard like it’s your birthday.”

The pair will be performing at the 2014 BET Awards Sunday, June 29. Usher is currently working on his eighth album, which will find him linking up with the likes of Pharrell, Jermaine Dupri and Diplo. “I Don’t Mind” follows his release of “Good Kisser” earlier this month.
