Watch Iggy Azalea And Rita Ora Take The Ultimate Friendship Test

by 05/07/14

Life on the road can get a bit lonesome at times, but when you’re traveling with a friend, it’s always an adventure, just ask Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea.

Long before the two teamed up for their collaboration “Black Widow,” off of Iggy’s album The New Classic, the labelmates traveled Europe in early 2013 for Rita’s tour.

So when the two blonde beauties stopped by “Live From MTV” on Monday, we put them to a friendship test, asking them who is more likely to elope in Las Vegas (Rita,) who is their favorite Spice Girl and who is more likely to buy a really expensive pair of shoes (Iggy).

After they passed the test, they looked back on their tour together, which they admit got a bit messy at times.
“She [Rita] has a party bus. I, like, wrap my hair up and clean stuff,” Iggy said before later adding. “I have fun. I have OCD that’s my problem.”

Rita continued, “She’d come on my bus and be like ‘This is a mess.”

“I get up in the morning and reorganize the fridge,” Iggy added. “It annoys me to have a dirty fridge, it’s so gross.”

However, this self-proclaimed “old lady,” certainly has a feisty side, just ask Rita Ora’s sound man.

“It was the last day of our tour and I was late on stage by literally five minutes, but he cut my sound off halfway through my last song and I’m like, ‘You’re the biggest jerk. Just chill out, it’s the last ...

This Is The Best Naked James Franco Portrait Yet

by 05/07/14

By Kat Rosenfield

Seth Rogen is a man who wears many Hollywood hats: actor, writer, producer, director, and proud member of the Humor Elite. But his most important job might just be that of artistic model and muse for James Franco, who recently took a break from his naked selfie-taking schedule to paint a portrait of his friend.

Titled “Seth at Rest,” the painting depicts Rogen sprawled peacefully across the canvas, asleep, and — of course — fully nude. Why? Seth doesn’t know! Not least because he doesn’t want to, as he explained to Jimmy Fallon during his appearance on the Tonight Show.

“I saw [James] the other day, and I didn’t ask him, because honestly I was afraid of what the answer might be,” the actor said, adding that despite the awkward questions it raised, the painting was still “complimentary, penis-wise.”

But since the only good answer to a naked portrait is another naked portrait, Fallon offered Rogen the chance to respond in kind, giving him a sketchbook, a pencil, and his remaining time on camera to create his own masterpiece.

The results were… well, anatomical, for sure! But we don’t see a foray into the art world in Seth’s future; meanwhile, a panel of art critics reached for comment would only say, “Ew!”

See The Pictures From Chris Brown’s D.C. Assault Case

by 05/07/14

A judge in Washington, D.C., has approved the release of five pictures taken on the night Chris Brown and his bodyguard are alleged to have assaulted a man outside the singer’s hotel.

The bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was convicted of assault in the case last month and Brown is still awaiting trial in the matter. The images were entered into evidence in Hollosy’s trial.

One image shows Brown posing with two women outside a Washington hotel before the alleged assault, while another features Hollosy in custody. Several depict the alleged victim, Parker Adams, with a bloody, swollen nose and blood-stained shirt. A post-arrest image of Brown is also included in the group of photos.

Hollosy is planning an appeal of his conviction and Brown’s trial has been delayed as a result, leaving the singer behind bars in California until a new trial date is set.

Hollosy reportedly told police that he was the one who punched Adams, though Brown remains in custody because of probation issues related to his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Is Marvel Sending ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ To Outer Space?

by 05/07/14

As an agency, S.H.I.E.L.D. is dead. As an idea, it lives on in the form of Agent Phil Coulson and his five remaining subordinates: Melinda May, Leo Fitz, Gemma Simmons, Antoine Triplett and Skye.

Only one episode remains in the first season of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” and it’s hard to see how it’ll all come to an end, with so many plot lines left unresolved. There’s John Garrett, the man who once called himself “The Clairvoyant,” now revealed to be the first Deathlok; dying and in need of perfecting the formula that brought Coulson back to life.

There’s Grant Ward, the duplicitous agent who seemed like a straight-laced hero, but was actually an embedded spy the whole time. Is redemption even possible for him at this point? In last night’s episode, “Ragtag,” it seemed like Ward was on the verge of turning things around — and then he shot a dog.

On top of that, Ward sent FitzSimmons to their doom, ejecting them from the Bus and letting them sink to the bottom of the ocean. It looks like the S.H.I.E.L.D. squad’s science team is about to go the way of Charlie Pace.

All of these stories will come to a head in next week’s finale, “Beginning of the End.” But where does “S.H.I.E.L.D.” go from there? “Girls” actor and incoming “Star Wars” star Adam Driver has a theory:

Could “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” head to outer space next season? It’s not only plausible, it’s likely. Consider the following:

1. Coulson was resurrected ...

‘The Voice’ Recap: Find Out Who Made The Top 5

by 05/07/14

By Emilie Cruz
“The Voice” said goodbye to three incredible artists Tuesday night (May 6) as five singers headed to the semifinals.

Up until now, coaches Levine and Shelton managed to dominate the competition with all three of their artists avoiding elimination. Sooner or later, though, somebody’s empire had to come crumbling down, and both coaches found two of their three artists in the bottom four: Team Adam’s Kat Perkins and Delvin Choice, and Team Blake’s Sisaundra Lewis and Audra McLaughlin.

But before the shocking last chance performances, the top eight came together for two incredible performances, and host Carson Daly announced that each of the eight artists made it onto the top 100 iTunes chart with Team Usher’s Josh Kaufman peaking at #2.

Country singers Jake Worthington, McLaughlin, and Kristen Merlin came together with rocker Perkins for a country-rocking performance of The Band Perry’s “Chainsaw” and soulful artists Kaufman, Choice, Lewis, and Christina Grimmie gave a powerful performance of Disclosure’s “Latch.”

For her last chance performance, Lewis gave a resonating performance of Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” that left coach Shelton labeling the bottom four “contradictory” if the show is supposed to find the best singer. Fellow Team Blake singer McLaughlin took on The Band Perry’s “Done” for a powerful last-chance performance that revealed a new side and attitude to Shakira. Rocker Perkins gave yet another electrifying last chance performance with Heart’s “Barracuda” that had coach Levine declaring her one of the best rock singers to be ...

Kelis Says It’s Funny To See Who Her Son Knight Is Becoming

by 05/07/14

There’s a lot to digest in KelisFood album. I mean, can we discuss the grand sweep of “Forever Be”? Or the oh-so-cozy cover with Sal Masekela of Labi Saffre‘s “Bless the Telephone,” an acoustic duet bound for an Apple iPhone ad if their marketing department has any sense. The inevitable guessing game that “Rumble” prods you into playing. And then there are the lyrical revelations wrapped in sunny trumpets.

But when Kelis visited MTV News just a few days after the release of her sixth LP in late April, I knew if nothing, I had to ask her about “Breakfast.” (No, not the poached egg variety!) The star of the Cooking Channel’s “Saucy & Sweet” tapped TV on the Radio guitarist and sought-after producer Dave Sitek to helm her grub-themed project, and the standout track is one of the most filling. Not just because it opens with her adorable 4-year old son, Knight, posing a layered question, but also for what the 34-year-old shares about lessons in love.

“I look at my little one, and it’s just funny to see who he’s becoming,” Kelis revealed of her pint-size co-star, who can be heard asking in the open, “Hey guys, are you hungry?/ My mom made Food.”

She giggled as she added of her tot with rapper/ex-husband Nas, “I realize that he does certain things, and it makes me laugh, and I’m like, ‘Who are you? Where’d you get that from?!’ And then people will see him and they’re like, ‘He’s ...

Zac Efron And Seth Rogen Think James Franco Is ‘EW!’

by 05/07/14

If it’s good enough for the First Lady and Channing Tatum, well then it should be good enough for “Neighbors” co-stars Seth Rogen and Zac Efron. We’re talking, of course, about the amazing Teen Nick show “EW!” starring Sara (“no h, because h’s are EW!”), who looks a lot like “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon.

On Tuesday night’s episode, Rogen (aka “Alison”), came down to the basement with her Venti Soy Dolce Creme Frappuccino — bought on her mom’s credit card, of course — to prove that just because you’re in drag doesn’t mean you can’t have a week’s growth of beard a show off your “MAYBE” charm necklace on your hairy chest.

Alison’s friend, Britney Anderson (Efron) had no such hair-removal issues and, like Miley Cyrus, she also loves Lil Jon’s “Turn Down For What.” For more duckface goodness, Efron twerking and James Franco disses, check this out:

Captain America Won’t Back Down From ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

by 05/07/14

For better or for worse, Steve Rogers never backs away from a fight.

Marvel’s third “Captain America” movie is currently set for a May 6, 2016 release date. That’s the same release date as “Batman Vs. Superman,” director Zack Snyder’s tentatively titled sequel to “Man of Steel.” The DC Comics adaptation flew into the May 2016 release date after abandoning a spot in the summer of 2015, which was quickly snapped up by Marvel’s “Ant-Man.” Marvel, meanwhile, already had its flag planted in the May 6 release date, before Snyder’s “Man of Steel” follow-up came along.

Needless to say, it’s been a little bit contentious, with fans eagerly waiting to see which side will blink and move from May 6. The Warner Bros.-backed “Batman Vs. Superman” doesn’t look like it’s moving, and it doesn’t appear that Marvel will, either.

During the company’s quarterly earning stockholders call this week (covered by Variety reporter Marc Graser), Disney CEO Bob Iger said Marvel “will hang on to the May opening slot for Marvel’s movies,” including the upcoming, scheduled release dates for next year’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and 2016′s “Captain America 3.”

In other words, Steve Rogers and friends are staying exactly where they are, on a collision course with two of the world’s finest and most famous superheroes in history. In two years time, fans will have to choose between this:

Or this:

You either get this:

Or this:

Minus the Superman suit, plus a Batman suit.

Or, you can be ...

Eminem Is The First Rapper To Headline London’s Wembley Stadium

by 05/07/14

In his first London show since 2001, Eminem is set to take the stage at the “Venue of Legends,” Wembley Stadium.

Em announced the July 11 concert on Zane Lowes’s BBC1 Radio show, revealing that the event was born out of a hangup with Royal Parks approvals. The original show was targeted for Hyde Park.

“I heard that I wasn’t going to be approved to play in Hyde Park and it made me even more excited to play in London this summer,” he said. “The easiest way to get me to do something is to tell me I can’t do it.”

The Detroit rapper also spoke about the prospect of announcing more one-off shows and confirmed that a full tour is not in the cards.

“As far as being on the road, I don’t know how that works for me right now,” Eminem said. “I’m Not saying I’ll never be ready for that again. I’m just saying, right now this is what’s working for me, and I’m having fun doing it.”

Tickets for Eminem’s Wembley Stadium concert in London go on sale Friday, May 9.
