This Tattoo Artist Didn’t Know He Inspired The ‘Divergent’ Tats

Tattoo artist Nigel Palmer may have inspired the futuristic tattoos in the film, but he wasn't aware of that fact until I contacted him to chat about the tats.

"To be honest I didn't know anything about it," Palmer told MTV News. "That's sort of really nice and I didn't realize that my work is spread around that much. I'm pretty slow at updating my website. I don't really promote myself. I just do my work."

In a recent issue of Inked magazine, production designer Andy Nicholson divulged the inspiration behind the bold designs etched onto the back of Four and the collarbone of Tris: Russian constructivist imagery and the work of Palmer, a British tattoo artist.

"His stuff if some of the most interesting, non-representative abstract art I've seen applied on a body," he said. "That was sort of the starting-off point."

The briefest of glances at Palmer's website reinforces Nicholson's assertion. You won't find any dragons or pinups or koi fish in this artists's portfolio. His pieces of geometric and futuristic, inspired in part, he said, by sci-fi films.

"I don't really do straight sci-fi type themes, but a lot of things I do privately are influenced by things I imagine when I'm reading sci-fi," he said.

That's likely why his work applied so well to "Divergent." Nicholson was aiming to create the tattoos of the future for the film, pieces that look like nothing you'd see in your average tattoo book.

Now aware of the reach of his work, Palmer would be willing to take his job ...

Will Anne Hathaway Catsuit Up For ‘Batman Vs. Superman’?

Retract your claws, Anne Hathaway is coming.

Hathaway, who played Catwoman (aka Selina Kyle) in 2012's "The Dark Knight Rises," made quite the stir with her skintight costumes and chemistry with the dashing Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale). Though Bale won't be donning the cowl again for the upcoming untitled Batman-Superman project — Ben Affleck will fill the role instead — we haven't heard a single meow about whether we've seen the last of Catwoman.

During an interview in Miami promoting the upcoming animated flick "Rio 2," in which Hathaway voices Jewel, a sassy bird who ventures to the Amazon, MTV News asked Hathaway about the future of her feline felon. Might we see her in "Batman Vs. Superman"? Or perhaps she'll headline her own movie?

"I would love it if that happened," she said, but was close-lipped on whether it would be a reality or not.

Check out the clip above for Hathaway's evasive dish on her future in the bodysuit, as well as who Jesse Eisenberg — the project's newly minted Lex Luthor — thinks would win in a battle between Catwoman and Luthor.

"Batman Vs. Superman" is slated for a May 6, 2016 release.

50 Cent And The Lox Look Past Beef For New Animal Ambition Track

A picture of Jadakiss and Styles P with 50 Cent hit the 'Net last month, and it got excited hip-hop fans speculating about what it could mean. Now, the LOX rappers are explaining how they ended up in the studio with their former foe.

"It was always a mutual respect as a fan, just doing the same kind of music," Jadakiss said on Hot 97's "The Angie Martinez Show" of his relationship with 50.

"Before we ever met each other, we was fans of each other's music," he continued. "Then, whatever happened, happened, and then the whole theatrics of it make you seem like when we take a picture or sit in the studio, it's like an amazing thing, when it was really never even that serious. It gets blown out of proportion."

For a lot of fans, though, it was that serious: Some of New York's most celebrated street rappers — who exchanged vicious diss tracks earlier in their careers — were finally making music together? What would that even sound like?

Well, 50 gave MTV News a hint earlier this month when we spoke to him about his June 3 release, Animal Ambition.

"They don't know what to expect from it," the Queens rapper said of listeners' expectations. "What happened was, it was an idea to do a song with Jada, and I did it and I went to Yonkers to go get the record. I come to they 'hood and we just got a chance to kick it. All their homeys was around and everything, ...

YG’s My Krazy Life Iced Out Of #1 Debut By ‘Frozen’

Stop me if you've heard this one before: the soundtrack is the #1 album in country.

Yes, for the second-consecutive week (and seventh week overall), the 'track to Disney's record-setting smash sits atop the Billboard albums chart, selling nearly 202,000 copies — its biggest number to date — thanks to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.

And while "Frozen's" icy grip on the Top 200 has been impressive, much like the NYC weather, it might not be thawing out any time soon: This week alone, the soundtrack not only beat out four debut albums to claim the #1 spot ... it sold more copies than all of them combined.

Olaf Ices Out The Competition

Yes, the rest of next week's top five is made up of new albums: YG's My Krazy Life opens at #2, selling nearly 61,000 copies, Foster The People's Supermodel bows at #3 with sales of 54,000 copies, Skrillex's surprise Recess comes in at #4 with sales of nearly 47,000 copies, and the Pretty Reckless' Going To Hell debuts at #5, with sales of 35,000 copies.

All solid first-week numbers, yet after crunching the numbers, the rest of the top five still came up nearly 5,000 copies short of matching "Frozen's" sales ... and that's been on the charts for 17 weeks now. Bow down to the Elsa and the singing snowman.

Pharrell, Rozay Hang Tough In The Top 10

The second-half of the Billboard top 10 opens with Pharrell's G I R L at #6, with sales of 34,000 copies and Rick Ross' Mastermindthe ...

Get ‘Lost In The Sun’ With Josh Duhamel: Exclusive Set Visit

Josh Duhamel, known for playing the good guy, had a blast filming "Lost in the Sun," getting to switch things up as an "S.O.B."

"I can safely say probably the best time I've had shooting a movie, because I get to play such a son of a bitch," Duhamel told MTV News' Josh Horowitz during our exclusive visit to the set, all the way down in (metaphorically) hot Texas.

Duhamel plays a small-time crook who kidnaps an orphaned teenager (Josh Wiggins) — it's no more Mr. Nice Guy for the actor.

"It comes very natural, which I'm not sure is a good thing or a bad thing," Duhamel said.

With his rugged, intimidating appearance, it seems he must have kicked a few asses for the role — however, in reality, Duhamel explains, "I get my ass kicked once or twice in this movie."

Duhamel shares most of his screen time with another Josh, Josh Wiggins, the young actor who plays the boy he kidnaps.

"He's looking for a connection," Wiggins explained, "which John is absolutely not. He's looking for a sense of normalcy."

It's only Wiggins' second big-screen role, but he more than held his own with the veteran actor. Duhamel was already granting Wiggins diva status, joking, "He's like, 'I got a big movie coming out at South by Southwest. I won't even remember this tomorrow.'"

Despite all the joking, the two clearly had some great chemistry, and said they will miss each other and the blistering Texas sun.

"I am sad that it's ending," Wiggins said. "It's bitter that it's ending, but it has been a ...

Justin Bieber, These Tattoo Experts Have Some Thoughts On Your Tats

Justin Bieber may think he's done with tattoos for now, but, well, that's what Kanye West said about stream-of-consciousness rants and look how that worked out (hint: it didn't).

Tuesday, Bieber announced on Instagram — after adding a few more pieces to his extensive tattoo collection — "Done with tats 4 a while ... Where I wanna be." Admirable restraint, Bieber, but I don't buy it.

As a person with more than a few tattoos (but far fewer that Biebs) I know this statement to likely be false. Tattoos are addictive and, well, there are still vast expanses of Bieber's flesh that have yet to feel the kiss of the needle. You will go back to her like an errant mistress, fair Biebs, we all do.

In anticipation of his inevitable backslide onto the tattoo table, I hit up Matty No Times of New York's illustrious Three Kings Tattoo and Rocky Rakovic, editor-in-chief of Inked magazine, to highlight Bieber's best ink — and offer up some suggestions for how he can improve his tattoo steez next time.

Because, come on, there will be a next time.

Bieber's Best Tats

1. The Knight And Castle

"The knight and the castle are really nicely done," Matty No Times told MTV News. "They are drawn well and executed well. The shading is smooth, there are varying line weights, which create shape and shadow in the armor of the king. This is a nice tattoo."

Perhaps the Biebs should stick with tats in the fairytale vein. Beauty and the Beat, anyone?

2. His Mother's ...
