Rita Ora Hints At ‘Amazing Shock’ In ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’

Rita Ora is going big time.

The U.K. singer already made an impression across the globe with her Roc Nation debut, Ora, but it's her role in that is turning heads on this side of the Atlantic. After her blink-or-you'll-miss-it appearance in "Fast & Furious 6" (Ora played a racer), she was cast as Christian Grey's adopted sister Mia in Sam Taylor-Johnson's highly anticipated erotic pic.

"Oh, I was nervous because it was the first time I ever did a movie with words," Ora told reporters at the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammy brunch on Saturday (January 25). "But it was so nice. The director Sam, she was incredible, so it was all love."

Ora confessed that the "Fifty Shades" release is "gonna be the biggest and most amazing shock ever," but she's "so excited" for it. After an early casting shakeup temporarily left the film without a leading man, "Fifty Shades" was pushed to a Valentine's Day 2015 release.

In the meantime, Ora will hit U.S. airwaves with her sophomore album. The 23-year-old kept mum on what sort of "awesome" sounds we can expect this time around, but confirms that the record is in the can.

"It comes out in a few months," she said. "It's been about a year and a half of kind of doing it undercover, but I can officially say it's done. The album's gonna be great."

Amid speculation surrounding the state of Ora's relationship with her DJ beau Calvin Harris, the duo arrived on each other's arms for the Saturday celebration. The 6'5" EDM superstar is ...

12 People You Didn’t Know Had A Grammy

While dazzling divas, rock gods and teen pop sensations are expected to dominate the evening as usual Sunday night at the Grammys, there will likely be a few unexpected names popping up on the winners' list at the end of the night. For example, Billy Crystal could walk away with a statue this weekend. Yes, that Billy Crystal.

If you look past the usual suspects, the annals of Grammy history are crowded with unlikely victors. Ahead, the 12 most surprising Grammy winners.

Hillary Rodham Clinton
She's not just a former senator and first lady (and possible 2016 presidential candidate) — The Hill also has a quarter of her EGOT. She won a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Album in 1997 for the audiobook of "It Takes a Village." (Bill got one later, in 2004, for Best Spoken Word Album for Children.)

Betty White
The Golden Girl clinched her statue in 2012 for reading her book, "If You Ask Me (and of Course You Won't)." Of course, we'd listen to her read the phone book and still give her an award for it.

President Obama
There's no telling whether winning a Grammy was one of Barack Obama's father's dreams, but in 2008, the president clinched the golden gramophone for the audiobook of "Dreams of My Father."

Michael J. Fox
In 2010, Michael J. Fox's "Always Looking Up" audiobook snagged the big prize for a place in the trophy case next to Fox's five Emmys, two SAG Awards and four Golden Globes.

Christopher Reeve
We bet it felt pretty ...

Rihanna Talks Grammys: It’s All About Mikky Ekko

Before Rihanna looks ahead to her eighth studio album, the Barbados-born superstar has her eye on two gold statues this weekend.

The six-time Grammy winner is up for another pair of gramophones at Sunday's ceremony, including Best Urban Contemporary album for Unapologetic and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Stay," which she shares with songwriter Mikky Ekko.

Before the mayhem ensues, Rih-Rih stepped out on Saturday with her Roc Nation family at Jay Z's annual brunch, held this year at a private residence in Beverly Hills. Wearing a chic Altuzarra ensemble with Manolo Blahnik heels, the singer told reporters that she was "really excited" that the Recording Academy had chosen to recognize "Stay."

"I think it's really exciting, especially for Mikky," she said. "This is his first real single and this is the first time the world has really had a chance to see him and hear his artistry, and he's nominated for a Grammy! That really speaks to his talent.

"He wrote an amazing song," she added. "That's one of my favorite songs I've ever sang and performed." (No small feat, given Rih's string of chart-topping hits.)

And while the Rihanna Navy is itching for some new tunes, Rih says we'll "just have to wait and see" when her next album will drop.

Just days after soaking up the sunshine in Brazil — topless, we might add — Rihanna is back in Los Angeles and hitting the Grammy circuit hard this weekend. Friday night, the singer was spotted out alongside fellow ...

The 2014 Grammy Winners… If The Whole Thing Were A Popularity Contest

It's been a long, torturous wait for the 2014 Grammy Awards. Ever since the nominees were announced in early December, my MTV News cohorts and I have already consulted professional oddsmakers and a psychic to get an idea of whose names will be called come Sunday night. (For the record, they gave us totally different answers.)

But what if, instead of consulting math or the heavens to predict this year's winners — or, you know, waiting a mere 24 hours when we'll know for sure — we listened to the people? Besides, at the end of the day, all that really gets you ahead in this world is popularity, right?

Luckily, the folks at Spotify were thinking the same thing when they predicted this year's winners based on their popularity on the social streaming site. See what they predicted below, and if you're mad about, remember: You did this.

Album Of The Year
The big kahuna, the main course, the Beyonce of golden gramophones, Album of the Year is the category everyone will be talking about come Monday. This year's patchwork band of nominees include Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, Sarah Bareilles' The Blessed Unrest, Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city, Taylor Swift's Red and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' The Heist. And even though hip-hop purists and lyrical masterminds are pulling for K. Dot, it's the MC from Seattle who's the most popular.

Best Pop Solo Performance
Sara Bareilles' "Brave," Lorde's "Royals," Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man," Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" and ...

Katy Perry Pleads For An End To Deadly Shootings: I’m ‘Scared’

On the eve of the Grammys, Katy Perry is speaking out against the recent rash of public shootings in the past week.

On Monday, a student was shot and critically injured at Widener University in Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, a student at Purdue University was shot at killed. On Friday, a South Carolina State University student was shot and killed. And just today (January 25), a mall shooting resulted in the death of three, including the gunman.

"Is anyone else really sad about the constant stream of shootings and how normal it's becoming to see these headlines on a weekly basis?" Perry tweeted this afternoon, continuing on. "Scared to go to school? Scared to go to the mall? Scared to go to the movies? Me too. When will there be ACTUAL change? How many more?!"

The Prism singer went on to say that the gun violence is "embarrassing," calling for change. "You and I both know this is getting embarrassing...My heart goes out to ALL the victims & their families this week. I pray for change."

Katy's Twitter spill comes one day before the 2014 Grammys, where the singer is up for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Roar." She is scheduled for the red carpet and festivities, and may very well comment on the string of shootings again.

When MTV News spoke with President Barack Obama in 2012 after the Colorado movie theater shooting, he posed his thoughts on the ongoing gun violence, specifically the rate of gun-related deaths in Chicago.

"What I've said is that we've got to ...
