Becky G Ready To ‘Groove’ On Austin Mahone’s Tour

Becky G is a rapper, singer, songwriter and a model who recently became the youngest COVERGIRL ever — pretty impressive for only being 16.

The Ingelwood, California, native got her start on YouTube back in 2011, and since then, has been featured on tracks with Cody Simpson and Cher Lloyd. But this year, Becky G has started to venture out on her own.

Back in April she released her debut single and video, "Becky from the Block," a remix of Jennifer Lopez's hit single, "Jenny from the Block," and even got Lopez to make a cameo in the video. She followed that up with the release of her EP, Play It Again, in July and just recently released a collaboration with fellow rising pop star, and 2013 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show performer Austin Mahone called "Magik 2.0."

Yet the collaboration with Mahone doesn't stop there, she will be featured as Mahone's opening act for his first-ever headlining tour, which is sponsored by MTV's Artist to Watch.

"It's super, super exciting to be working and to go on tour with somebody closer in age and going through the same things and have the same passions do the same things," Becky G told MTV News recently at COVERGIRL's Easy, Breezy, Brooklyn VMA event. "And he's just really a lot of fun to hang out with."

The tour kicks off October 17 in Miami and for all those attending, Becky G warns fans that there will be lots of dancing.

"I think you can expect my set to be fun," ...

James Spader As Ultron: Five Burning Questions About ‘Avengers 2’ Villain

Out of nowhere, James Spader has just been cast as the titular bad guy in "Avengers: Age of Ultron." The Emmy award-winning actor has signed on to play the team's most reviled villain, the artificial intelligence known as Ultron. Unlike other villain castings, though, the role isn't as cut and dry as one would initially think. This casting — and the press release's lack of details outside of Spader's name — has called into question a few things we already know about the evil robot, as well as created a few new ones.

Here are the five burning questions we have regarding James Spader's forthcoming turn as Ultron.

Just The Voice
Ultron possesses many powers, including heightened strength, stamina, durability, speed and reflexes in addition to flight capability and concussive energy blasts — but turning into a human has never been a prominent power of his. When Ultron shows up, he's all metal, all the time. This would indicate that Spader's signed on to at least voice the character, and at most, provide motion capture similar to how Mark Ruffalo brought the rampaging Hulk to life in last year's "Marvel's the Avengers." Spader's voice isn't particularly well-known, which would allow his disturbingly smooth tones to seamlessly blend in with the work of the animation team.

But other voice-only castings have been labeled as such from the get-go, like Bradley Cooper's rumored involvement as Rocket Raccoon's voice in "Guardians of the Galaxy." If Spader is only contributing his voice, wouldn't that have been part of the announcement?

A Human Ultron

‘Gravity’: How The Script Changed And Launched Sandra Bullock Into Space

As we heard yesterday, Alfonso Cuarón's "early reviews from Venice, the tale of two astronauts stranded in space has already captured the imaginations of film fans eager for the weightier fare of the fall movie season.

In anticipation of the upcoming season, MTV News spoke with Jonás Cuarón, who wrote "Gravity" with his dad, for our Fall Movie Preview, and we learned that the space movie had origins set in a very different place.

The story of "Gravity" started four years ago, when the younger Cuarón gave his dad a script to get his feedback, as he has always done, but Alfonso came back with another idea. "When he read it, he really didn't have that much feedback at the time," Jonás told us, "but he wanted to do something in a similar spirit."

Jonás' original idea was based on the premise of delivering 90 straight minutes of nonstop suspense, while still delivering characters and human emotions that the audience could connect with. "The idea was to do basically a roller coaster ride, but not only a roller coaster of adrenaline but also of emotions. We started talking about the best place to set the roller coaster," he said. "For several reasons, we both really like space exploration. In a way, if you're going to set up a story where a character is struggling and having to overcome several obstacles, there is no more terrifying place than space."

So Alfonso and Jonás had their concept and their setting. Now they needed a reason to put their astronauts in peril. Since the father-son duo ...

Kendrick On ‘Control’ Controversy: Maybe I’ll ‘Dumb Down’ My Lyrics Now

With his controversial verse, Kendrick Lamar challenged his rap peers to get better. So it's ironic that after the fallout from his fiery bars on the Big Sean track, K-Dot now feels like he may have to tone down his complex lyrics.

"It made me go back here and made me feel that I probably need to dumb down my lyrics nowadays, for people to take it way out of context the way they did," the Top Dawg MC said during an interview with Hot 97 radio personality Peter Rosenberg, which aired on Thursday morning (August 29).

Sean first released the song on August 12, and Lamar finally broke his silence surrounding the verse this week. He not only spoke on calling out his friends J. Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electronica, Tyler, the Creator and Mac Miller, Dot also addressed his fiery "king of New York" line, which a number of Big Apple MCs took exception to.

"I'm Makaveli's offspring, I'm the king of New York/ King of the coast, one hand, I juggle them both," Dot spits in his gravelly voice, putting his own spin on a Kurupt lyric from Terrace Martin's Internet single "Get Bizy."

"It's not about the [East and West] coasts, it's not about what side we're on," Lamar clarified, "it's about being great as Biggie, as 'Pac — the two cats that I referenced from jump." The Compton MC made a point to explain that he was referring to Tupac Shakur, who once recorded under ...

Lady Gaga ‘Nailed It’ In ‘Sin City’ Sequel, Joseph Gordon-Levitt Reveals

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is getting great reviews for his new flick, "Don Jon," and he just handed out his own two-thumbs-up review to singer-turned-actress Lady Gaga.

Gordon-Levitt revealed that the Mother Monster has a cameo in Robert Rodriguez's "Sin City"

The actor opened up about the cameo to radio station Jam'n 94.5days after he was spotted chatting with the Mother Monster during Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. (She performed at the show and he presented Justin Timberlake with the Video of the Year Moonman.)

"She was in 'Sin City 2.' I did a part for [it]. Mr. Rodriguez asked me to be in, and Lady Gaga is in a scene of it. And I gotta say, she did a really good job," the actor said. "Like, she's a great actress. And I didn't know that. You know she came in and I was like, 'OK sure, they're having a huge pop star do a scene in the movie, I understand.' But then she came in and like, nailed it! She had her character down, and she was like a total pro and did a great job. I was really impressed. So it was good to see her again [at the VMAs]."

John Mayer Feels ‘Weird Growing Up’ On <i>Born And Raised</i> Tour

WANTAGH, NY — There was a time when squealing teenagers would scream for John Mayer.

Don't be mistaken, there are still a lot of young girls going to JM concerts in flower crowns and matching T-shirts, but the majority of the screaming comes from the middle-aged men. These men aren't just the dads of those girls, but they're dedicated fans, there with their wives or buds, screaming, "We love you, John!"

Mayer, on his Born and Raised Tour, shows a decidedly more mature side than his Heavier Things days, drenching his band in denim and tying a weather-worn scarf on his head. An animated background of canyon rocks symbolizes his move to the Montana country, his independence and his folk growth.

"It's a weird thing to grow up in front of you guys," Mayer said in a vulnerable speech toward the end of his set. It's been 12 years since his first album was released, and in 2012 and 2013 he released two more back-to-back, totaling his studio album count to six. Unable to tour for his 2012 LP, Born and Raised, while recovering from vocal surgery, his current tour includes new material from two records, something Mayer is a little insecure about.

"I wonder if anyone cares or connects," he said to the crowd, who would cheer enthusiastically for his older hits like "I Don't Trust Myself (With Loving You)," but rest their bones during the new ones. "It's really uneasy."

John's sprinkled in a few of those crowd-pleasers throughout Wednesday night at Jones Beach, but he rounded out the set with tunes ...

From ‘SNL’ To Animated ‘Jurassic Park’? Inside Bill Hader’s Big-Screen Sequel

Even months after his departure, most "Saturday Night Live" fans likely associate Bill Hader with eccentric city correspondent Stefon --a role that earned him his second Emmy nomination. And while he may be skipping out on New York's hottest night clubs for his reprisal as Flint Lockwood in that doesn't mean avid Stefon fans won't enjoy the family-friendly flick.

In fact, what initially attracted him to the first "Cloudy" movie is the comedic vision of directors Phil Ward and Chris Miller. And while there were new hands taking the helm this year -- Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn -- Hader knew it would be just as fun the second time around, especially when it involves dinosaur sized monsters made of food.

The sequel picks up right one second after the original movie and progresses into what Hader describes as a "Jurassic Park"-style adventure -- but this time, "foodimals" are the enemies, and they are the offspring of Flint's invention from the first film. Hader described this movie as a "more personal" tale, one that focuses on his friendships and budding romance with weatherwoman Sam Sparks (voiced by Anna Faris). Just look at the tension between the two in our exclusive photo!

"I just thought [the directors] had such a specific voice -- a specific comedic voice, and that they were allowed to do it in a big, animated movie was really exciting," Hader told MTV News as a part our Fall Move Preview. "It was always a fun time."

Well, maybe not always. Voice acting, it turns out, isn't as easy ...
