One Direction ‘This Is Us’: Where’d Their Girlfriends Go?

As promised, there is no room for romance in the upcoming One Direction documentary, Director Morgan Spurlock previously stated that the Harry Styles/Taylor Swift relationship wouldn't make it into the film, out August 30, and in fact, none of the members' romantic relationships are featured in the flick.

Spurlock opened up to MTV News about his decision to omit that aspect of their personal lives, but instead focus on their hectic careers and familial relationships.

"I made it a point to leave relationships out of the film. They're young men and from the very beginning I said I don't really want to have their girlfriends/relationships be in the movie 'cause god forbid in the middle of this shooting, somebody breaks up with a girlfriend," he explained. "And now I've got a story point that really isn't a story point; it doesn't really matter."

Spurlock revealed that that was the case for one of the guys, Liam Payne, who ended a relationship with longtime girlfriend Danielle Peazer in the midst of making the 3-D doc/concert film.

"And, in fact, over the course of us shooting that happened to Liam," Spurlock recalled. "Like Liam broke up with a girl he was dating over the course of this. I think the story Liam tells about relationships is a much better story.

Catch One Direction during our All Access live stream at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday (August 24)!

"Like in the film he's got a great line where he's like 'I just want to make sure somebody appreciates me for me, that's it's not ...

Hey Macklemore, Drake Wants To Buy A Kaws Moonman From You

BROOKLYN, New York — We must admit, the special edition KAWS Moonman is really cool; so cool that Drake is ready to go to some extraordinary lengths to get his hands on one.

"I might have to tell Macklemore like, 'Yo, I'll buy that trophy off of you if he beats me'," Drizzy told MTV News on Friday night after he finished rehearsals for Sunday night's 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

"I really want one bad. 'Started From the Bottom' was like my first time stepping up as a director, getting a director's credit with Little X," he said. "I couldn't ask for a better moment. I need the trophy for my house, period — even if somebody else gets one I might buy it off them."

Macklemore & Ryan Lewisare nominated for six awards, including one for "Can't Hold Us" in the Best Hip Hop Video category, where they will go head up against Drake ("Started From the Bottom"), Kendrick Lamar ("Swimming Pools") A$AP Rocky ("F---in' Problems") and J. Cole ("Power Trip").

Last year, Drake and Director X (formerly Little X) struck gold when they took home the rapper's first Moonman for Best Hip Hop Video with "HYFR" at the 2012 VMAs. The video found Drake reliving a bar mitzvah, while his YMCMB brethren looked on. It was different, fun and at times comical, a winning formula that X and Drake drew from for "Started."

"It's just a great moment. 'Started From the Bottom,' first song off Nothing was the Same, I directed the video, crazy video, a ...

What Will Miley Cyrus Lick Next?

Every celeb has their patented photo pose. Miley Cyrus's just happens to be a bit more revealing than most — in that we can see all the way to her uvula. Yup, Miley has a penchant for licking stuff and, to be honest, we're about to diagnose a serious case of pica up in here.

Licking stuff doesn't seem to be a new affectation for Miley — unlike twerking — as we have been amply familiar with the pop star's taste buds since and maybe even before 2008, when a series of tongue-baring images from the set of "Hannah Montana: The Movie" emerged on the scene. We also, unfortunately, saw Cyrus getting down and dirty with a novelty cake presented to fiancé Liam Hemsworth last year — an image we have yet to eradicate from our brainpans.

Still, as the 2013 Video Music Awards creeps ever nearer, so has Miley's tongue — to everything from dolls to our reporters' faces. Perhaps she's just warming up for her performance at the event, where it's highly likely she'll out-Britney and Madonna, well, Britney and Madonna, by tangling tongues with...[insert inanimate object here].

In preparation for that sure-to-be fateful night, let's take a look back at all the things Miley has licked of late.

The Air

In her VMA-nominated video "We Can't Stop," Miley just can't stop licking the air. In fact, the video ends with Cyrus and a gaggle of friends lapping at oxygen like a passel of happy dogs. While dogs feel compelled to kiss the sky in order to regulate ...

Birdman Planning His VMA Look: ‘I’mma Be Swag, Baby’

Just in case you forgot, Birdman is still fly. And the Cash Money boss reminded us of that when he stopped by "RapFix Live" on Friday, which has been streaming from the Barclays Center this week.

While it may be hard to imagine the jeweled-out music mogul laying out his VMA outfit the night before, he already knows what he'll be wearing to the festivities.

"Rich Gang head to feet," Birdman told Sway days before the awards kick-off from Brooklyn on Sunday. "I'mma be swag baby, that's all I know. I'm Uptown, New Orleans — one thing we do do is swag out."

Birdman went on to explain that his Rich Gang movement is more than just the title of his compilation album, but also about a "flashy lifestyle."

"I just started a Rich Gang clothing line," Stunna said. "Me and Wayne also got the YMCMB clothing line."

The night before sitting on the red sofa, the Cash Money Records co-founder/CEO and his brother, Ronald "Slim" Williams, were named BMI Icons for helming their legendary label. The duo were treated to an all-star tribute, which included performances by DJ Khaled, Mystikal, Trina and Juvenile. But the most iconic moment of the event was probably the reunion of Birdman and Big Tymer partner in rhyme Mannie Fresh. The two performed onstage together for the first time in more than a decade.

"I dedicate my soul and my life and I wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't for Dwayne motherf---in' Carter," Birdman said at the ceremony on Thursday of Lil Wayne, who ...

Lil’ Kim Relives Her VMA Boob Lift: Watch!

The VMAs have given us so many iconic moments over the years, from the Britney-Madonna-Christina triple-kiss to Beyoncé's baby bump reveal and Kanye West's Taylor Swift stage crash. Memories are made at MTV's signature awards show and Sunday night's 2013 MTV Video Music Awards is sure to live up to the broadcast's storied history.

Before the big show, though, we thought we'd take a trip down mammary lane with Lil' Kim, who will be right at home on Sunday when the show airs live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

No trip to BK is legit unless you visit with Queen Bee, and no VMA look-back is complete without remembering one of the most talked-about incidents in VMA lore.

"Oh my gosh, I already know! You gotta be talking about Diana Ross, right?" said Kim when MTV's Sway caught up with her recently in her hood to talk about the infamous run-in with the music legend.

"I think I was more of like a friendly, 'Oh my god, you look sexy girl, but do you know you have a boob hanging out?'" Kim said of the lift seen-round-the-world. "By the way, if I ever did a movie of my life I would get her to play my mom."

In case you missed it, or forgot, Ross was co-presenting the Best Hip-Hop Video award with Kim at the 1999 show. Kim, wearing a purple wig and matching pantsuit that left one of her breasts exposed, covered just by a shell-shaped pasty, was surprised when Ross placed her hand under the breast ...
