Katy Perry’s First Listen Of Prism Is Kitten-Approved: Hear It Meow!

Katy Perry is three teasers in and she's finally giving fans a taste, albeit a small one, of her new single, out next Monday.

On Wednesday (August 7), she tweeted, "This one's for the kittens. It's time to make those meows #ROAR," along with her latest clip. In it, a fluffy white kitten makes her way through an apartment. She gets to a couch, where she plays with a feathery toy. After munching on it, she looks to camera and lets out a big roar.

Then, the peppy single kicks in. With its "Ooh ooh" chant and toe-tapping beat, it seems like Katy might have an anthem on her hands.

"Roar" is the lead single off Katy's October 22 album, Prism. For the track, Perry reportedly worked with her dream team including Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Bonnie McKee, who cooked up hits for her 2010 album Teenage Dream.

However, in previously released teasers, Perry has been putting her candy-coated Teenage Dream days behind her, having set a bright-blue "California Gurls" wig up in flames in one and later attending a funeral for that persona in another. At the time, she shared, "Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, a new beginning is a must!"

Fans are not only awaiting the full release of her new single, but to also find out what's inside the gold Prism truck that's been making its way across the United States. So far, it's stopped in cities like Kansas City, Denver, Los Angeles (where it made its debut) and Las Vegas.

Usher’s Ex Seeks Custody After Son’s Near Drowning

Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, has reportedly filed legal papers seeking temporary primary custody of the couple's two children in light of an incident in which their 5-year-old son nearly drowned in a pool on Monday.

According to TMZ, Raymond claims that Usher is out of town the majority of each month and has delegated responsibility for the children to others.

In the papers, filed by Raymond on Tuesday in Fulton County, Georgia, she seeks decision-making power over the children's education, healthcare, religion and extracurricular activities. A hearing date for the custody request has not yet been set.

At press time, it appeared that Raymond V was still in the ICU
at an Atlanta hospital after getting his hand stuck in the pool drain Monday evening. Apparently, the child dove into the pool to get a toy when he became unable to free his arm from the drain. Usher was not home at the time, but the boy's aunt and the maid attempted to save him.

The transcript of the 911 call in the case has been released, revealing that Usher's aunt, Rena Oden, was unable to free the child and that two men working on the house managed to bring him to the surface and perform CPR, which got him breathing again.

Raymond V is expected to recover, but at press time there was no update on his condition. "My son is OK, but I have no further comment at this time," Raymond told CNN on Tuesday. Usher and Tameka Raymond divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage, with Usher ...

Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis Talk Weed And Leprechauns On ‘Yes/No’ Show

The power couple headlining the new comedy now face something even more stressful than getting chased by a powerful Mexican drug lord: being contestants on "The Yes/No Show."

In the latest installment of Josh Horowitz's rapid-fire game show, Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis must answer a series of deeply personal questions with either a "yes" or a "no." From serious questions about the fine art of acting, to whether or not Sudeikis is out of his league in his impending nuptials to Olivia Wilde, to Aniston's long-awaited remarks regarding a possibly inaccurate allegation of puppy strangling, this episode of "The Yes/No Show" puts all involved on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Questions about weed and lap dances are all decidedly on-topic thanks to the film the pair star in together. In "We're the Millers," Sudeikis plays a drug dealer hired to bring marijuana back from Mexico for a hefty payday. To get back across the border, Sudeikis hires a stripper — played by Aniston — to play his wife, and an odd couple of teenagers— Emma Roberts and Will Poulter — to all pose as a wholesome family on vacation. The kooky quartet get in over their heads, however, when they find out they've stolen from a highly ticked-off drug lord.

"We're the Millers" is the latest entry in what is quickly becoming a new comedy subgenre: the Aniston/Sudeikis. The two previously appeared in 2011's "Horrible Bosses" and 2010's "The Bounty Hunter," although "Millers" unites the two for the first time as co-leads.

The quiz doesn't solely focus on dirty deeds, as ...

‘Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters’: The Reviews Are In!

Pack your rucksack and call your friendly neighborhood satyr: We're headed back to Camp Half-Blood.

the sequel to 2010's "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," opens Wednesday and follows the titular demi-god (Logan Lerman) on his latest aquatic adventure.

Director Thor Freudenthal takes over the film franchise from previous helmer Christopher Columbus, and critics are mixed over this second outing with the son of Poseidon. Check out what they have to say about "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters."

The Story
"Following the almost $226.5 million box office of the first Percy Jackson movie, the hero (Logan Lerman) has returned to save Camp Half-Blood, the training ground for Greek demigods and employer of the teacher-centaur Chiron (Anthony Head of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' at his Watcher-ly best, replacing Pierce Brosnan). When the magical tree that protects the camp is poisoned, Percy must retrieve the Golden Fleece to heal it." — Andy Webster, New York Times

How does 'Sea of Monsters' compare to 'Lightning Thief'?
"Though part one used up many of the good monsters — like Medusa and the hydra — part two is a fleeter entertainment, free of origin-story requirements. It's also marginally better made: While Chris Columbus brought his leaden 'Sorcerer's Stone' touch to 'The Lightning Thief,' new director Thor Freudenthal ('Diary Of A Wimpy Kid') demonstrates a greater flair for CGI spectacle. Squint hard enough and it's possible to pretend you're watching a kind of YA version of 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark,' complete with a scene of the heroes tied up while the villains unwisely unleash ...

Kanye West On Kylie And Kendall’s Fashion Line: ‘Let’s Do This!’

Kanye West knows a thing or two about launching a fashion line, so when he heard that Kim Kardashian's little sisters were ready to get their feet wet in the fashion industry, he offered to help out the teen moguls.

"He's such a creative person and he's really cool and it's, like, very cool to have him in the family now. He's such a nice guy," Kylie Jenner told Fashionista.com. She and sister Kendall design a line for PacSun as well as a jewelry line for retailer Nordstrom.

She added, "A couple of days ago, I was in the kitchen and so was he, and I was just talking about my clothing line and how excited I was and he was like, 'Your clothing line — I can help you and design. We can do this!' Like, whatever, because he's just kind of about taking over the world with fashion pretty much, and that's really inspiring."

When MTV News chatted with the Jenner sisters earlier this summer, they shared with us what was inspiring them, aside from the rapper. Kylie suggested that fashionistas should be sporting "cut-out dresses, shorts. I live in shorts during the summer."

It's not the first time that Kanye has put his stamp on the Kardashian's sense of style. Last year, Kim admitted that Yeezy worked with her stylist to change up her look.

"It was beyond what you see on a TV show in a couple of clips," she shared last September, referring to Kanye's makeover of Kim's closet on "Keeping Up With ...

Ariana Grande And Big Sean’s ‘Right There’: Listen To The ’90s Throwback!

Ariana Grande is inching closer to the September 3 release of her debut album, Yours Truly. And with less than a month away, she is giving fans another taste of the album by releasing her collaboration with Big Sean,

She's previously told MTV News the release would include '90s throwback jams, and this track is definitely one of them thanks to a sample of Lil Kim's 1996 single "Crush On You."

The track is as easy breezy as what we've already heard from the album. While she said the release would be split between '90s throwback jams and "something that I've created that's sort of special and unique," the Big Sean collaboration falls into the former category thanks to a sample of Lil Kim's 1996 single "Crush On You."

She previously dubbed the song "kind of like the sequel to 'The Way,'" and that certainly does feel like a fitting description given that, again, Grande's vocals soar over a flirty beat. "Boy, you make me feel so lucky/ Finally the stars align," she sings.

Sean comes in and out of the track, spitting lines like, "If it all fell through, would you catch me before the pavement?/ If my Benz turned back to public transportation, would you still be at home for me with the candles waiting?"

The album is now available for pre-order, and on Tuesday, the confirmed Yours Truly track list hit iTunes. In addition to previously confirmed collaborations with Mac Miller on her single and the Wanted's Nathan Sykes on the ...

Drake Says ‘Hold On’ Is ‘Not A Rap Record,’ But A Wedding Song

After dropping lyrical gems on recent releases like Drake gave us a taste of the variety on his upcoming album Nothing Was The Same with a track that he and producer Noah "40" Shebib imagine being played at weddings in 10 years.

"It's me and 40 just channeling our Quincy Jones/Michael Jackson production duo," Drake told MTV News. "Obviously no offense to the greats, I know we're not anywhere near that — it's just us kinda doing our thing, humbly attempting."

"It's not a rap record," he added. "It's not 'Versace,' it's not 'Started From the Bottom.' In approaching this album I was like man, it would be great if we had a record that was played at weddings in 10 years or that people that are away from their families in the army could listen to. Something that just [has] timeless writing, timeless melody. So I did it with the group that we signed to OVO called Majid Jordan."

The pop track contrasts nicely with grittier songs like "5 AM in Toronto," and finds Drake hoping to lock down a little love, singing, "I got my eyes on you/ You're everything that I see/ I want your hot love and emotion, endlessly."

After joking about a name mix-up that's bound to happen — "[The group is] not Magic Jordan. It's Majid Jordan, even though Magic Jordan is a really cool name" — Drake explained that he and 40 collaborated with them to make what they hope will be a classic. "Majid is singing on the record with me ...

Jason Sudeikis And Jennifer Aniston’s Road Trip Hits: Watch Them Sing!

Playing an onscreen family, even a fake one like in "We're the Millers," takes a level of openness and intimacy that might seem strange or completely random to non-actors. Take Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston for example. In "We're the Millers," the two funny stars pose as a husband and wife team, so we have to believe that's why a recent MTV News interview got a little loopy.

"We're the Millers" tells the story of a low-life drug dealer (Sudeikis) that becomes a drug smuggler when an insane business man (Ed Helms) forces him into the gig. To get the weed out of Mexico, he turns to a stripper (Aniston), asking her to pose as his fake wife and the mother of his fake children (Will Poulter and Emma Roberts) in order to get past border patrol.

When MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with Sudeikis and Aniston for an interview, they talk about how their characters sing in the car during their road trip. Sudeikis drew a parallel to his own family history when they would sing Broadway tunes in the car. "I remember we used to sing the 'Rent' soundtrack a lot," he said. "I just met Taye Diggs at the ESPYs."

Aniston could not believe the song choice. "Like 'Light My Candle'?" she asked.

"Exactly like 'Light My Candle,' " he said before showing off his own rendition of the song, which — as Sudeikis pointed out — is a duet, but Aniston refused to join in. It seems that the spousal support doesn't extend to off-screen situations

"We're ...
