Tomorrowland 2013 Lifts Off With Dance Party At 24,000 Feet: Watch Now!

BOOM, Belgium — The magical world of Tomorrowland teases an experience unlike any other festival. And this year, after 13,000 global journey packages sold out in just five hours, some lucky fans got to kick things off en route to the Belgian town that hosts the dance music experience.

In partnership with Brussels Airlines, organizers filled 29 Tomorrowland-themed flights with guests from every continent across the globe. In addition to the Tomorrowland party flights, there were 140 departures from 67 cities descending upon the Tomorrowland Brussels terminal for the fest, which officially launches Friday. Eight-thousand festival enthusiasts are expected to fly to Brussels this year, four times the amount that boarded for the 2012 edition.

MTV News headed down on one of the party flights, which included music, video projections of some of last year's performances, gifts compliments of the festival (like a watch from Belgian brand Ice) and, on two extra-lucky flights, a live DJ. For instance, festivalgoers leaving from Basel, Switzerland, got to spend their flight sipping champagne while watching Tomorrowland veteran Dimitri Vegas perform a live set. Finally, upon arrival in the Tomorrowland terminal, guests were shuttled to the home of the annual gathering in Boom.

"The increase in passenger numbers and countries [we] were able to service this year via global journey is a testament to the increasing international popularity of the festival," Get In PR's Toby Andrews, director of publicity for the fest, told MTV News. "To witness people landing into Brussels Airport from all corners of the globe was a real special moment and we're ...

Miley Mulls Chris Brown Face Tattoo, Booty-Grazing Ponytail

Miley Cyrus took her traveling twerk show to Germany this week, and somewhere in-between butt-tweeting a personal conversation with someone named FEFE and coming down with a mysterious illness, she managed to give an interview that seemingly focused on two things: Tattoos and hair.

First, Miley — no stranger to tats — joked that she's decided to get inked once again ... and this time, she's really going for it.

"Didn't one girl get 'Drake' across her forehead? That's crazy. That's a dedicated fan right there," she deadpanned. "I was thinking about maybe getting 'Chris Brown' across this cheek. It'd be really good for my career."

Of course, given that the interview took place in Germany, Miley's joke quickly smashed into the language barrier, and a local TV station presented it as fact (even doing a side-by-side comparison with Mike Tyson, who famously sports a Maori-inspired facial tat). And while we'll never actually see her with Breezy's name inked on her cheek, Miley wasn't joking when it came to another topic ... her much-discussed hair.

Seems that ever since she went with her punky, chunky cut, Cyrus has seen the look pop up everywhere, and though she realizes imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, she's hoping her locks return ASAP.

"Hopefully my hair grows really quick, and the next time you see me I'll have a pony down to my butt. I just want to always be different," she said. "Everyone else has cut their hair to look just like me, so now I gotta ...

Nicki Minaj Needs ‘To Sit That Ass’ On Khaled’s Lap, Rick Ross Says

Rick Ross and DJ Khaled have a bond that extends beyond the music. In fact, before Rozay was a Maybach Music boss, he and Khaled worked their respective records on the streets of Miami. But despite the pair's long history, even Ross was surprised by Khaled's marriage proposal to Nicki Minaj.

"It was some chatter going around, but I can't say that I knew, but it was some chatter," Ross told Los Angeles' Power 106 host Rikki Martinez in a new segment that aired on Friday (July 26). "Time to sit that ass on his lap."

On Thursday, Khaled asked MTV News to assist in the release of a special video aimed directly at the Young Money cash queen, and it quickly went viral. "Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?" the charismatic DJ asked, looking directly into our cameras while holding up a 10-karat, radiant cut diamond engagement ring valued at around $500,000.

Khaled's name trended for hours afterward on Twitter as some fans wondered whether the proposal was authentic. Did the "No New Friends" star really want to put a ring on it? Ross told the radio station he believes his buddy is all in. "He has a ring valued at about half-a-million dollars," Rozay reasoned.

The Maybach CEO went on to propose that if the two actually do get hitched, he'll get them a car — though a Maybach may be out of the question since the luxury vehicle went out of production in 2012. "If they tie the knot, I have to most definitely represent like ...

Shailene Woodley: Jennifer Lawrence’s Advice Made ‘Divergent’ Decision ‘So Much Easier’

With the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's actress Shailene Woodley will join the rarified ranks of highly scrutinized young-adult heroines that already includes Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence. And after spending five years on the ABC Family series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," you can hardly blame Woodley for hesitating when it came to signing another multi-year contract for a teen-skewing franchise.

As it turns out, we have Lawrence to partially thank for Woodley finally deciding to hop aboard the Dauntless train. As Woodley told Vanity Fair recently, she received some advice from "The Hunger Games" actress that she really took to heart. She recounted the story to MTV News recently while promoting another upcoming adaptation "The Spectacular Now" (out August 2):

"I still don't know her. I've never met her," Woodley said. "She was kind enough — I asked her, 'How do you feel about 'Hunger Games' and having started in movies like 'Winter's Bone' and being recognized for that, do you feel 'Hunger Games' was a smart decision for your personal life and your anonymity?' All of these sort of concerns one has before taking on a movie like this. She said, 'You'd be a fool not to take it. Some things change. Don't make a sex tape, don't do drugs, don't go to Whole Foods when the movie opens. Other than that, just, like, live your life and have fun.' Yeah, hearing that from her was really grounding and sort of made the decision so much easier because I ...

Will ‘The Wolverine’ Claw His Way To #1 At Box Office?

It looks like the sixth time is the charm for the world's most famous Canadian superhero.

Hugh Jackman was an unknown actor when Bryan Singer cast him as Wolverine at the eleventh hour. Comic movies were in a sorry state after the debacle that was 1997's "Batman & Robin" but Jackman was the breakout star of the well-received "X-Men" film in 2000, leading the Australian actor to starring roles in huge pictures like "Swordfish," "Real Steel" and "Les Misérables."

But Wolverine remains the one role identifies Jackman. As told the Hall H crowd at last week's San Diego Comic-Con, Jackman and Wolverine go together like Sean Connery and James Bond. Riding a wave built on twice as many positive reviews as "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as well as a killer cameo in "X-Men: First Class," the new flick based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's early-'80s miniseries is set to easily take the top spot at this weekend's box office.

Industry estimates put the "Wolverine" debut between $60 to $75 million, which will provide a welcome shot (of adamantium?) in the arm of the summer blockbuster season, particularly in light of big-budget bombs like

3-D screenings and a Thursday-evening opening will help, as well as the promise of a higher-caliber and more-character-driven Wolverine tale. Mangold has worked on "Girl, Interrupted," the remake of "3:10 to Yuma" and the Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line." He first worked with Jackman on "Kate & Leopold," Jackman's third post-"X-Men" film in America.

Though Fox let the rights to "Daredevil" lapse and return to Marvel, ...

Frank Ocean Scraps Tour After Vocal Issues

Frank Ocean's trip down under was a short one. The Odd Future crooner was forced to cancel his sold-out Australian tour after struggling through vocal problems during his kick-off show at Melbourne's Festival Hall on Thursday night.

Lady Gaga’s Return To The VMAs: A Comeback And A Coronation

It's fitting that Lady Gaga will make her triumphant return to the stage at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards ... after all, since she burst on the scene five years ago, the show has served as her own personal catwalk, throne room, theater, soap box, studio, gallery, performance art space and launching pad.

Now, it will play host to her rebirth.

It's not a stretch to say that, outside of any artist not named Madonna or Britney or Beyonce (cue the angry comments!) there is no artist as synonymous with the VMAs as Gaga. Beginning in 2009— when she first creeped out Eminem while accepting her Best New Artist Moonman, then thoroughly terrified all of America with her bloody performance of "Paparazzi" — and running all the way through her gender-bending turn as Jo Calderone in 2011, the Mother Monster has continually found new was to shock and amaze. She has routinely stolen the show, dominated blog discussions the following day, and managed to outshine a room full of the biggest stars on the planet.

Photos: Lady Gaga's Best VMA Moments

In short, she is one of the few who seem to realize the stage and scope of the VMA stage, but rather than shrink from the spotlight, she seizes it, occasionally shines it directly into our eyes, and always leaves us dazzled. She's delivered epic performances, touching personal moments, and even album launches. She's won a staggering 13 Moonmen in just four years. How great has her impact been on this show? ...

‘The Wolverine’: The Secret Behind Jean Grey

For months and months leading up to the release of "The Wolverine," Famke Janssen repeatedly told the press that she did not reprise her role as Jean Grey in the "X-Men" spinoff. But after she turned up in the trailers for the film, Janssen offered a mea culpa to MTV News' Josh Horowitz for lying about her participation.

"I sincerely apologize, but I was sworn to secrecy," Janssen told Horowitz. "I had no choice but to lie. Don't ask me any more questions," she said with a laugh.

Janssen said that she undertook the role with great secrecy, although she was worried that just the process of going to the set — which required an extremely long plane ride around the world where she might be spotted — would spoil the surprise for fans. "The studio called me and said it's a big secret — and we want to keep it a secret," she said. "It was a lot of hurdles to go through but we went through all of them, swimmingly. I was even able to lie to you and many other people, which is terrible, because I'm not a liar."

Although she acknowledged that it had been six years since she played the role of Jean Grey, Janssen said that it felt incredibly comfortable. But at the same time, she observed that the character always managed to be different in each film where she portrayed the character. "It's a different Jean Grey, and you know what? I'm lucky, because I've been a different Jean Grey every single time I've ...
