Bruno Mars Puts His Fans Center Stage With ‘Treasure’ Interactive

Dancing in your bedroom used to be a private thing — done with a hairbrush and aplomb behind closed doors — but now, thanks to a new video project from Bruno Mars and his dancey jam "Treasure," your moves could go viral.

Mars released his retro-style video for "Treasure" in June, shot on VHS and imbued with '70s glam, and Monday (July 22), he's added another layer — or should we say "filter" — to the jam. NYC-based technology agency OKFocus created a website that integrates fan footage shot using Instagram's video function with the official video.

When fans visit TreasureDance.com they'll be presented with an old-fashioned-looking TV — a nod to the retro quality of the "Treasure" video — outfitted with a pair of knobs. When they click play, the official video will begin playing, interspersed with fan footage that has been hashtagged with #treasuredance. Users can click the knobs to skip around footage, as well as click on Instagram usernames to see those dancers' accounts.

"The site looks for videos posted with the hashtag #TreasureDance on Instagram, takes the newest 100 videos and places them in a random sequence alongside Bruno Mars's preexisting music video for Treasure," OKFocus's Chief Technology Officer Jules LaPlace and Creative Director Ryder Ripps told MTV News, adding that the song's "tempo, temperament and general vibe" make it the perfect jam for the project.

This is the first such project to be created using Instagram's video functionality, which launched in June.

Justin Bieber, Undisputed Selfie King, Has Some Tips For Geraldo Rivera

The selfie is an art — a delicate tightrope walk between posterity and vanity — which is why one posted this weekend by Fox News Contributor Geraldo Rivera sent currents of unrest throughout the Web.

Setting aside the fact that the 70-year-old TV personality appears almost in the nude, the snap was just not as artful as it could have been. So MTV News turned to the master of the selfie's photofeed — yes, that would be Justin Bieber — for some guidance on how Rivera could have made his photo POP.

Rivera has since taken down the photo, which he tweeted Saturday with the caption "70 is the new 50 (Erica and family are going to be so pissed ... but at my age...)." But if he ever decides to turn the lens on himself again, here's five Bieber-sourced tips he should heed:

1). Perfect Your Pout

We know that you're proud of your physique, Geraldo — "70 is the new 50!" — but that smile plastered under your 'stache is just so overt.

If you study the oeuvre of Justin Bieber's Instagram photos you will find that whether the Biebs is shirtless and chilling, or shirtless and bro-ing down with his homeys, not a smile dances across that face. No, instead he has perfected this soulful look (see above), one that speaks volumes with uttering a word.

Lush lips just barely parted, eyebrows raised slightly upward, the deep pools of his eyes shimmering with so many ... questions. The Bieber pout says: "I am shirtless. I don't know why I'm ...

Demi Lovato Is ‘Really, Really Good Friends’ With Nick Jonas

Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus have each built successful careers transitioning from Disney darlings to pop stars. While Lovato admits to some friendly rivalry, she's still close with her Mickey Mouse friends — including old co-stars the Jonas Brothers.

"I'm so excited for Selena, I'm so excited for Miley..." Lovato said about her Disney friends, who are also competitors at the 2013 Video Music Awards. "I get competitive as much as I love them. I do get competitive so I have to focus on myself and just be like it doesn't matter who has what, we are all equally successful, and in our lives it's a huge blessing. I'm so proud of everyone."

And let's not forget Lovato's other close Disney friends, theJonas Brothers, who just last week released their . Lovato starred alongside the boys on "Camp Rock" and at one time dated Joe, but reveals that it is younger brother Nick, that she's remained closest with.

"I really only hang out with Nick," Lovato said. "I'm cool with all of them. I'm really cool with all of them, but Nick is one of my really, really, really good friends. We don't get to see each other often but [when we do] it's so much fun. I'm sure if we could do that with all them, but we are never all together.

One Direction Get Wacky In ‘Best Song Ever’: Watch Now!

One Direction are heading off to Hollywood for their very comical , which was released Monday (July 22). The visual follows the story of the boy band as they meet with various La La Land bigwigs, who are trying to make the superstars even more famous in a pitch meeting for their August 30 movie release, "This Is Us."

And, yes, if you look closely, the five moguls in the clip are actually the guys of 1D cleverly disguised as the various movers and shakers one might meet out in the City of Angels.

There's two studio executives who are in varying degrees of going bald, Harvey (Niall Horan) and Johnny (Louis Tomlinson); a bespectacled, marketing guy named Marcel (Harry Styles); a headband-loving choreographer, Leeroy (Liam Payne); and Veronica, a sexy female assistant (Zayn Malik, who had perhaps the most stunning of the makeovers).

The meeting with studio execs about "the greatest movie of all time" leaves the guys rejecting all the ideas for their new image: uniform boy band costumes, all-purple Justin Bieber-inspired costumes and lots of sculpted abs. They guys get fed up and run amok around the office, trashing things and breaking out into a big dance number.

The Ben Winston-directed video is full of wacky moments, including all the guys dancing next to their alter-egos. Harry flirts with Z's femme fatale while Liam's choreographer character deals out kisses. In between the comic elements of the visual, fans are also treated to some footage from "This Is Us."

The video was shot on June 12 and 13 in Miami. Not ...

Fall Out Boy On Ryan Adams Hang: ‘Somehow Some Music Got Recorded’

Fall Out Boy famously — or infamously — recorded a song with Courtney Love on their comeback Save Rock and Roll album ... a fact that, you'd think, would earn them permanent blacklist status by any of Love's (many) enemies.

Though, from the sound of things, Love's former sparring partner Ryan Adams is willing to forgive and forget. Because he recently invited FOB into his Pax Am studio to record an album's worth of songs over two raucous nights.

"It was very much hanging out, and somehow some music got recorded," Fall Out frontman Patrick Stump told MTV News. "We're very lucky, we have a cool job; sometimes you just get to hang out and someone asks you questions about it."

"I think we didn't know what to expect when we went in, which is part of the fun, and I think it's part of what Ryan wanted out of it as well," guitarist Joe Trohman said. "When you're in the studio, and you spend most of the time hanging out, it's a good thing because then all of a sudden you're like 'Wow, how did I just record, like, ten songs?' And that's sort of what ended up happening; everything was off the cuff."

Of course, there's still no word when FOB fans will get to hear any of the tunes — a rep for the band did not respond to MTV News' request for comment — but, from the sound of things, they'd represent a definite departure from the polished studio songs on Save Rock ...

Missed Comic-Con? We’ve Got Your Merry Marvel Roundup Right Here!

SAN DIEGO — The Avengers first assembled at the San Diego Comic-Con and went on to collect more than $1.5 billion for the third biggest opening ever. So to say that expectations were high for Marvel's Hall H presentation this year would be like saying Galactus has something of an appetite — the real Galactus, not the weird purple cloud version.

This year's SDCC provided plenty of fan-centric delights from the worlds of and . But it's safe to say that the Disney-owned Marvel Studios stole the show, boasting a big announcement about the sequel to "The Avengers," assembling the "Guardians of the Galaxy" on the same stage for the first time, debuting footage from "Captain America: Winter Soldier" and plenty of "Thor: The Dark World" as well, all preceded by a ridiculously badass appearance by Tom Hiddleston in character as Loki.

MTV.com streamed live from Comic-Con Thursday through Sunday, grabbing exclusive details and insights from everyone from Harrison Ford to Hugh Jackman to "Avengers" director Joss Whedon and his Merry Marvel cohorts.

Here's a roundup of all the major things that went down.

Tom Hiddleston Cosplay
It's hard to imagine a better way to dig into new revelations about Marvel's "Phase 2" than to have the Big Bad from "Phase 1" take the stage and menacingly chastise the crowd for their willingness to wait in sweltering heat and super long lines. Is it cosplay for someone who has actually played a character in several films? Hiddleston got the call from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige about ...

J. Cole Sorry For ‘Ignorant’ Autism Lyric: You ‘Deserve Medals, Not Disrespect’

J. Cole and Drake are compelling lyricists, so when the pair collaborate, there's usually excitement about the results. But not everyone was thrilled after hearing the rappers' a freewheeling song that Cole ended up apologizing for.

"In a recent verse on the song 'Jodeci Freestyle,' I said something highly offensive to people with Autism. Last week, when I first saw a comment from someone outraged about the lyric, I realized right away that what I said was wrong," Cole wrote in an apology letter to advocacy organization Autism Speaks. He posted the note on his Dreamvillian site on Sunday.

The line that Cole caught some heat for finds him making reference to the developmental disorder as he lyrically berates his hip-hop competition: "I'm artistic, you n---as is autistic, retarded."

According to Autism advocates, Cole's verse on Drake's June release makes light of people living with the disorder, and the North Carolina MCseemed to agree.

"I was instantly embarrassed that I would be ignorant enough [to] say something so hurtful," Cole continued. "What makes the crime worse is that I should have known better."

Cole went on to acknowledge the recent rash of rapper apologies, though he didn't name drop Rick Ross, Lil Wayne or Tyler, the Creator, who have all recently issued apologies (of sorts) after public outcry stemming from their lyrics.

"I do not believe that an apology is needed every time someone is offended, especially when that apology is really only for the sake of saving an endorsement or cleaning up bad press," Cole stated in ...
